Excellent Service, delicious pizza! Was hesitant based on some reviews but we were so glad we went! We went on a Friday night and the place was hopping! The parking lot was full and we were afraid we'd have a long wait. We were greeted by smiling and cheerful J'Lynne (hostess). We were seated quickly, and our server, Lisa, took our drink orders within minutes of us being seated. Despite their popular double decker pizza looking absolutely delicious, we were were in the mood for thin crust pizza. It was perfect - thin crispy crust, perfect sauce (not too sweet or tangy). Despite how busy the restaurant was, we had several servers stop by to make sure we'd been taken care of. The pasta dishes being served to other tables looked and smelled amazing. If our travels ever take us back through Marion, we'll be back to Walt's! read more

WORST dinning experience ever, over hour wait no pizza or sandwich! Waitress lied, said it was coming right out, manager stated order was not made because of short staffing. Guess we weren't only mad customers, manger stated he had been dealing with issue all night and laughed. Offered to make order, stating it would take less then 10 minutes, for a deep pan pizza lol. We left after manager stated we got two free salads and could leave if we didn't want to wait. Ordered a pizza and 1.5 hr later I got a pizza that had been sitting for a while. The toppings and cheese were in the middle of the pizza. I called and was told it would be at least another 30 minutes to get a replacement and to call back if it hasn't arrived by then. First off our waitress, Madison, was lovely. What a professional. We dined on the patio and watched the fireworks. It was July 3rd. That was unexpected. Very cool. Taco Nachos, hot wings and pizza was all good. Not the best I ever had, but good. The employee cleaning the bathroom had nothing good to say about the owner/ manager. Said he was a Dick. He didn't help the wait staff, just sat in the corner eating his shrimp cocktail. When I got home I feed my leftover pizza to my cat. The cat said the pizza was the best pizza ever. I've been here twice for pizza and it was very good both times. We ordered the double decker pepperoni pizza and chips and salsa. The pizza tastes homemade and has a good balance of crust, cheese, and sauce. The chips and salsa come straight from a bag/jar, but I wasn't too picky about that. The salad bar did not look appetizing to me, but I'm not a fan of shared food bars. The greeter and server were very nice and the food came out quickly (Saturday lunch time). This is not fancy, built in the 70s, has an 80s vibe complete with MS Pac man in the arcade. We will be back for pizza the next time we are in town! We aren't gluten-free eaters, but they do have a gluten-free cauliflower crust. read more

Walt's has historically been a favorite place for my family to go for years. I visited Walt's while in town over the holiday with some friends. I guess I had forgotten which crust was the go to because I ordered a Double Decker crust and let me tell you, way too much crust. It kinda ruined the pizza. Fortunately, we also got a pan crust and that was much better. I will certainly be back to Walt's myself next time In town, however I'd recommend to stay clear of the double decker crust. read more

Wish the description would have listed that it did not have any sauce. The salad bar was decent. But no options for at least semi-healthy dressings. Even the Italian was more of a creamy one. The most upsetting thing during the visit was the service. We were seated before 8pm last night. Had a table of 6. They were a little busy, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Needless to say, my 3 year old son was fed last. He finally got food at 9:20pm. People that sat down after us left before our son even got his food. I saw a gentleman at another table have to go get his own refill and to go box. Our appetizer Taco Nachos came out cold with the rest of our food. The side salads came out after food as well. We had to give a reminder. My wife ordered a crispy chicken salad. She's been awake since 3am with bathroom troubles coming out both ways. We weren't offered to comp any if our food. We finally left at 9:45pm it was a horrible experience all the way around. I last went here on Saturday for my birthday with my family. While, for some reason, we couldn't book the party room (WTF?), we got there early enough to grab it anyway. The salad bar, while limited in toppings, is always amazing. (Again, maybe because I grew up here and spent years perfecting my cheese-to-Ranch dressing ratio...) The BEST pizza in Marion. We always bring my father-in-law here when he comes to town. Their thin-crust pizza with the green olives is just too tasty - I think about it sometimes when I should be working!
