Mom and I enjoyed not the Cashew Chicken and Orange Chicken on their well-priced lunch combos. The chicken and vegetables were very fresh. And the orange rinds elevated the dish. We also had an order of Fried Pork Dumplings. They were cooked very well, with a more uniform crispness than most places. And the sauce was unique and delicious, with the flavor of sesame oil. We split one entrée--the Sesame Beef. The dinner entrées are not as value priced as the lunch, but the portion was definitely enough for 2 with the starters. I dined in at Wang's this week. The restaurant, although a little disorganized, was very clean. Sometimes seating at Chinese restaurants can be sticky or grimy, but that was not the case here at all! The food was a little hit or miss. My boyfriend enjoyed his sesame pork, but the hot & spicy tofu was too sweet and not spicy. Steamed rice was dry. The service is awesome, though. Clean, comfortable restaurant with fast service at lunch! I have come here a couple of times to do a little computer work at lunch, and to grab some great food! Service is excellent, the lunches arrive with your choice of 3 soups, choice of rice, an eggroll, and your entree so it's a nice amount of food as well as a little variety built-in. I had Kung Pao chicken which had delicious julienned vegetables and was loaded with chicken and peanuts for crunch. I chose fried rice which was cooked perfectly. I loved the complimentary wonton soup as well. The restaurant is at the corner of Broadway and Arapahoe with plenty of parking. We have been eating at Wang's Gourmet for 40 years. We ordered $70 work of food last night, and so far have found 3 hairs in the brown rice. Each time I pulled it from my mouth, gross! I don't know why I kept eating after the first time, which was last night. I find the other two when we were eating leftovers tonight. I called the restaurant and they had me send photos. They told me that no one in their kitchen has that type of hair. I don't know how they could tell that from a photo, and I have no reason to cause a stir because we've enjoyed their food for years. I simply wanted a refund, which didn't seem to be asking much. We won't be going back. Wang's Gourmet... where have you been all of my life? My family loves Wang's. Great food and great prices! There's so much in one portion. My favorite is the cashew chicken. It's not breaded, so it's also great leftover/reheated. My husband prefers the orange chicken. I could eat my weight in those crab rangoons!! We always grab some of those and veggie egg rolls. They are also great at preparing takeout! Their containers are always sealed tightly and piping hot, even after our drive home. They have NEVER mess up our order. Highly recommended! read more

Arrived on a Friday around 3:15 PM after the lunch rush and before the evening service. Drinks came out quickly, service was polite and engaging and staff left you alone for enough amounts of time to have private time with your dining partner, the appetizers also came out very quickly. They were playing traditional Chinese music at a decent volume, which was a nice touch. Be aware that the spicy mustard packs quite the kick and it's very exciting, maybe a little too exciting for some palettes. I ordered the Pao Pao platter. It was decent. I went to Wangs on Christmas day for takeout. Ordered sweet and sour chicken, wontons and egg rolls. The chicken was so overcooked. But the taste was disappointing...not good...the wontons and eggrolls were pretty decent. But the price blew my mind. Over $30 dollars for my food. And I barely ate any of the chicken. I grew up outside San Francisco and when we were hungry for Chinese food, we would go to Chinatown in SF. I have been in Colorado for 10 yrs and found this treasure 8 years ago. Finally some great chinese food in Colorado. The last time I was there Tan waited on our table, it felt like mom was taking care of us. I know that sounds corny but it is how we felt. Rived in a decent amount of time, but that wasn't because of Wangs it was because of the Uber driver. Guy's we ordered take out last night. A few things I noticed: Menu said $14.50 for Teriyaki Chicken and $14.50 for Kung Pao Chicken. We were charged $15.50 (attaching copy of receipt). When we got home the first thing I noticed was all the water in my Teriyaki Chicken (attaching two photos). I have never ordered Teriyaki Chicken from any Chinese restaurant in the past that you have any water in the meal. The next thing I noticed, "Where is the chicken" probably 85-90% veggies. I have eaten here in the past, usually eating at the restaurant and have never seen this much water added to a Teriyaki Chicken meal. My only guess, is they are trying to add volume and weight to the meal to give you the impression of actually food. The Kung Pao Chicken was the same. I felt like we were served soup, not a meal.
