The place has crazy good selections and good guys working there. That being said, they have a ridiculous business practice where you have to put in a deposit to make an appointment to do the paperwork to buy the gun. So on top of the long waiting period, you have to waste more time by making an appointment. So you'll have to go to the store 3 times to finally get your gun. Oh and if you do give your deposit and decide you do not want to wait, they'll keep your deposit money for doing absolutely nothing. Super great guys. Took us (me) a bit to coordinate my appointment for consignment sale due to scheduling conflicts, but got it completed finally, and it was a pleasant and expedient experience. I was hoping for a bit more given what we paid for the guns initially, but received for them about what I expected considering the specifics, and they did do me a solid or two in the process - and regardless, the guys were great to work with. All in all, a positive experience. I doubt I'll ever need to sell firearms again, but if I do, I'll call them first. And I'll certainly call them first if I ever want to buy one. Poor customer service and didn't seem to want to help me remove a red dot from my gun. Wanted to charge me over $100 to do it. Where do I start?! I was referred to Ryan's shop last year sometime amidst the peak of the ridiculous "pandemic panic". After having trouble finding anything I really wanted.. my friend threw me a bone by giving me info to the shop. After texting him, we got me on the list for a few guns I was in the market for and made an appointment to purchase my first AR-15. After a smooth and effortless process (effortless on my part), I had a beautiful brand new Stag Arms rifle. I went to Ryan to buy my first firearm(1911). He showed a lot of patience and care when it came to showing me all the ins and outs of my 1911. Learn from me so you won't have to make an extra trip; bring your: Gun Safety certificate(they can provide this after taking a test, done and provided same day) Passport or State issued ID(the REAL updated ID that will be required going forward after 10/2020 for air travel) If you don't have the REAL ID, a birth certificate with your regular state issued ID is fine which is what I did. Ryan was very nice and knowledgeable. I had to make an appointment to meet with him. Not sure if this is typical for his business or because of the covid19 situation, but regardless, his communication is great and didn't have any issues for our 3 appointments. I appreciate this especially after hearing stories from friends whom have had bad experiences with communication with the dealer they chose. They were also new gun buyers. I think most customers including myself would be okay with delays as long as their dealer is communicating with them. But FYI, didn't have any delays with Ryan. Just the department of justice background check wait which is a minimum of 10 days. Wait time can be up to 30 days during this covid19 pandemic. Gun sales are up 300%!! Be patient. I'm looking forward to doing more work with Ryan on the AR15 I want to custom build with him. Be safe new gun buyers! read more

2020 has been a crazy year and like the majority of Americans I needed a firearm for home defense. After a quick search on Yelp I found Wanney's Firearms and called to make an appointment. This being my first time purchasing a firearm Ryan walked me through the process and legality of buying and owning a gun. This was during the early stages of civil unrest and there was a national gun shortage due to panic buying. Unfortunately every FFL including Wanney's only had a limited selection, a pistol in 22lr and a revolver in 357 mag, were the only guns he had available for purchase. I ended up getting the revolver even though they say it shouldn't be your first gun because it's a hand cannon and reloading in a self defense situation isn't ideal. After filling the paperwork and eventually picking up the firearm I couldn't believe how smooth the whole transaction was. I often hear stories of other FFL giving their customers the run around or ignoring them outright but here Ryan keeps you up to date on everything. You can tell him what guns you want and all you have to do is wait for the text to start the paper work. He's like a concierge for guns! I most definitely recommend Wanney's to anyone looking to buy a gun. read more

Just an honest review from a first-time purchaser. Ryan behaved in a very self-important manner this morning. He carries on a nicely when you're buying an overpriced gun (hence the current 5-star ratings, which until now I would have agreed with) but when you try to get info on your ammo that you've already paid for and had delivered to his shop, he becomes the severe ammo god who makes sudden threats to return your package when you're just trying to understand the process and get your ammo as soon as possible. Then when he does text when to pickup ammo he tells you what they charge versus what "other people" charge and that they EXPECT a tip. I even heard him press it *again* to the guy picking up his ammo ahead of me. Repulsive. He didn't bother to do so with me as I assume he already knew he fucked that all up with me this morning. Two stars instead of one because I will again admit he is generally nice but he's way too quick to burn customer bridges with his attitude. Maybe the scarcity of the pandemic has given him a bit of a power trip, idk, but things won't always be this way and he would do well to remember that. Threats will never pay you long term like I would have otherwise. Also, the gal that works with him was very sweet so, there's that. I can't honestly say I don't recommend this shop because, save this morning's issue, I wouldn't have any problem rating 5-stars. *If* they are as comparatively cheap as they say they are (ammo transfer was $6, my glock was about $800 so do your own research to verify) then you would be right to come here and save money if you buy these items with frequency. But in a customer oriented business, you just don't get to be a jerk at any point. So, as you requested, I will never send anything to your shop again. read more
