Average milk tea shop with a nice, authentic Taiwan vibe! We ordered our drinks online for pickup and it was very hassle-free. There is a parking lot outside with lots of space, so that's always a bonus! The staff was nice and there were quite a few Asian aunties and uncles there, which, in my opinion, is a telltale sign of being a quality, welcoming milk tea shop. They even offered free samples of tea! The one we were offered was a fruit green tea, and it was very refreshing for the warm weather. The regular milk tea I ordered tasted fine, but the pearls were a bit too stiff and lacking in flavor for my liking. The other drink we got was the starfruit tea, which was too sweet -- it didn't help that the sweetness level was pre-set so we couldn't change it. There was also a bit of an herbal medicinal taste to the drink, which we weren't fans of. Overall, this is a friendly, local boba shop that isn't anything to write home about, but it will definitely do the job to satisfy a craving! read more

I ordered the Wanpo milk tea with Boba with the recommended sweetness at 70%. I took a sip of the drink and was overwhelmed by the sweetness. It tasted like it was at 120% sweetness. Although sweet, I could still taste the tea flavor which I enjoyed. I would probably reorder this drink at 50% sweetness and hopefully that would be a better outcome. read more

Wanpo is our go to tea shop for our local area. We've been going since their soft opening and every single time they don't disappoint. My personal favorite is the Apple Tea as it's always refreshing and the perfect amount of sweet for my tastes. They're always super fast with our orders, and even when busy it never feels like we have to wait too long. Milk tea drinks are on point. I don't like my drinks too sweet and my 30% sweetness fits my taste just right (being able to taste the tea flavor). I like to order hot drinks and one thing I'd nitpick on is the plastic straws given when ordering them. I rather not drink a hot liquid out of a plastic straw so I'd suggest either changing to a sip(able) lid or bring your own stainless steel straw. read more

My work was slow so we started talking about new boba shops in the area. We decided on Wanpo. I came here to get some drinks for my coworkers. I had a list with 11 drinks. When I walked in, I said that I have a lot to order and the guy at the counter was chatting with his friend so he just pointed at the self-ordering kiosk. It took a while for me to order the drinks and he just stared at me while I input each drink. When I finished, I asked to pay cash, which he helped me with. While I was waiting, he was still chatting with his friend, speaking in Cantonese (which I understand) and complaining about the big order. I was surprised he's complaining about BUSINESS. Whatever, I didn't say anything. I kept waiting and watched as he bagged up the drinks. He called me over when all the drinks were ready and said, "next time you have to pay for the bags". I didn't know I had to pay for the bags and he didn't charge me for them when he was taking my payment. He then points to this bag ordinance paper on the table and say "it's the law since 2015". I didn't appreciate being guilt tripped for not paying when he was the one that failed to mention to add the obscure bag option on the kiosk. AND he had every opportunity to add the bag fee when he was accepting my payment. I held myself back but I wanted to tell him to take it out of my tip (that I shouldn't have left-.-) I have never been asked to pay for bags at other boba places. They just give it to you when you order a lot of drinks. Why? Cuz bags are cheap and they want you to come back. But anyways, the drinks weren't bad but not memorable. The matcha latte is bland. Brown sugar boba is decent. A few of my coworkers said their drinks were too sweet so less sweet might be best if you don't like super sweet drinks. 2.5 stars for me. After Yifang closed in Milbrea, Wanpo is our go to for boba . And not disappoint, even better than Yifang. Recommend .

I go through my little obsessions, and bubble tea is my current pricey addiction :-) I've over the boba toppings and more into the Aiyu jelly plus aloe and/or other jellies, I adore that gummy chewy translucent texture. The winter melon milk tea has been my current craze, though because this was my first visit at Wanpo, I wanted to try their regular tea, which in this case was Baozhong tea with 30 sweet, and light ice, and the jelly. I'd never had pudding in any bubble tea before, and couldn't imagine what that would taste like, nor the texture. It looks divine in photos, no matter what boba place I see it, and pudding ought to be my middle name (one of the best parts of Istanbul, btw., is they literally leave one to two pudding shops per block, no joke). So I trot off to this new place, and get the drink, upsize it, order it via Doordash for pick up. They had it ready exactly as I'd ordered it, and in record time. They were super friendly and answered what might've seemed like "duh" questions, e.g. I wasn't expected a solid ball-like shape of pudding floating at the bottom of the glass, and my questions about it are almost embarrassing to recount, such as do I eat it afterward? To which the very kind and sweet gentleman said, " Or you could eat it during drinking for texture." I also asked about the jelly, which I couldn't make out with the ice in it, and what with my myopic astigmatism. He pointed to it lurking in the shadows at the bottom of the glass. What is super unusual is the free little sample at the front, served in little dixie cups. In this case, I lucked out because the sample was lemon winter melon, so freakin divine--tangy and fresh and light, with a bit of froth not up top but within the liquid. I think this is a relatively recent Taiwanese addition to the Mllbrae scene, not that the city needed per se yet another bubble tea place, but honestly to my mind and ethos, there's always room for a boba place. The price is right, and you can order via one of the delivery services for either delivery or pick-up. It's a min outdoor mall, so there's plenty of free parking, and truth it: if they didn't have this parking situ, I wouldn't go. This could easily become an expensive habit for me :-) Next time, I've already got my order planned: their winter melon non dairy milk tea with jellies up the kazoo :-) Upsized, of course, and with less ice! read more

Never tried this place before and heard that they had a couple locations. The owner (Louis) was very helpful in helping us decide what was good. I like the fact that he was attentive and saw I had kids and recommended caffeine free drinks. Thumbs up on that! We ordered the oreo custard, matcha and wintermelon drinks. All very yummy! My daughter would have never ordered wintermelon but for the fact that the owner was kind enough to let her sample it. Because of that one extra attention, my daughter wants to come back again. We were also given a cup holder with a handle. Soo cute! Love it! I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family. I especially would like to mention that the owner was very friendly, attentive and flat out gave such good customer service. Not very many places go out of their way like Louis did. Clean and friendly gentleman at the cashier. I was glad to find options that offer decaffeinated teas. The store also offers small sample for customers to try. The young crew preparing the drinks were quick to get the drinks ready. Two thumbs up for their good service. Minus one star was for not acknowledging my point for my 2nd drink. Wasn't sure why I did not get my lemon point. The gentleman was kind to show me how it works on the app. Nonetheless, try WanPo. You may find something that you'll be coming back for. I've been here twice with my boyfriend and each time we've gone the service and quality of boba drinks has been great! First time, we were offered sample milk teas to try (so yummy!). Second time, we were in a rush and ordered online on Google, and our order was already ready for us as soon as we got there. Both times, we got the Mango Pomelo Sago (my bf's favorite) and the second time, I got the Purple rice taro coconut milk, which was a sleeper hit! They use real taro (no powder haha), with your choice of milk (organic Clover, oat +$1, almond +$1), with coconut milk - SO GOOD. Definitely recommend this hidden gem! read more

This boba place is pretty nice , the staff is helpful and very welcoming I also really love the interior of the boba shop it's cool , also they do give free samples I got this ginger hot milk tea , it was so yummy warm milk tea wit a taste of ginger so goody and on a rainy day to , but I got this custard boba milk tea , you taste more of a custard then milk tea and I'm pretty sure it was around 5.75-6.25? Either way I think the price was okay and the teas really do taste authentic , and also if you follow them on Instagram they give you this free boba cup holder it was so cute I got it , overall I'd come here again it's good and nice !! read more

Surprised by the low ratings. I've been to 100s of boba shops around the US and Asia including Taiwan as well as all the boba shops in the Bay Area and this is by far on my top 3 list. Others have mentioned that they are known for their fruit tea and that statement is false. They are known for their black tea and it was phenomenal. Both the black milk tea as well as the brown sugar black tea latte and I highly recommend it. Service was great no complaints there. I tried a few teas and they're all fantastic. The boba is not that great. The outside is too soft and the center of the boba is too hard.

We were sooo excited to see Wanpo Tea open! The store is near the MCDonalds and the small plaza, so there is a lot of parking nearby. We went during a weekend night and the employee gave us samples. He had samples for the winter melon tea and the rose tea. I really liked the winter melon tea so I got it with boba, and a low sweetness level as recommended. The tea only came in a large size for the winter melon and it was very well brewed. We also got a black tea milk tea and I really liked that the milk tea had a stronger tea flavor (just my preference, I don't like too sweet or too milky). I am deducting a star because the boba was very mushy and did not have a great texture. However, I am sure that it will get better since the store has just opened. I am very happy to see more boba options in the area, I will definitely be back! read more

Service sucks, watched them pile 5 drinks onto a 4 cup holder tray and when the customer dropped one of the drinks, they wouldn't make them another one. I watched the customer clean up the spilled drink on the floor for them too. Felt bad for them. read more

My SIL and I went today and grabbed 6 drinks and she accidentally drop one of the drink as she had a child with her. She went back in and ask if they can redo the drink she dropped in front of their shop. The lady said no because her foot was out the door. That is the worse customer service I have even seen. And she even tipped them too. How much would it cost to remake that one drink she dropped as I spend close to $50 on the 6 drinks. I would not be visiting this establishment again as I want would be spending my money elsewhere for my drinks who treat me with respect! If I could do negative stars I would. read more
