Wan was a referral from a friend. Came out on a Saturday to measure and give us an estimate which I thought was a good first impression. The estimate came in at almost half the cost of the other we received and we decided to go with Wan. He could get started during a week we weren't going to be in the house anyway and our referral had a good experience. The floors look great but my baseboards and shoe moulding are completely covered in the stain and poly. I'm talking every single square inch on my first floor. They don't tape anything off and take no care in ensuring the stain doesn't get all over the place. I now have a $3000 baseboard and paint project on my hands that I didn't sign up for. I texted and called him after the job was complete to understand what we can do to address this and I haven't heard back. The picture I added shows about 5 feet of baseboard/moulding in my office. I called Wan for an estimate and he came out the same day. He arrived smelling like alcohol. When I told him that I wanted to rip out the old flooring and install it with new vinyl, he seemed disinterested and was in a rush to leave. He didn't even measure my floor until I asked him to. After reluctantly measuring my floor and telling how much material I would need, he started to walk out the door. I then asked him how much he would charge for the labor and he said that he will let me know. This was 3 weeks ago and I have not heard a word from this guy. If he didn't want the work or was too lazy to do it, then just say so! My opinion is that maybe it was too much work for him to do. Regardless, it was very unprofessional and in hindsight, I'm happy I didn't hire him. I would strongly advise anyone considering this establishment to think twice before wasting their time and money! read more

We had Wan refinish out hard wood floors, lay new hard wood floor to match, and to put flooring in a closet. The floor that he refinished a section was replaced and there is a dent in that section. The real complaint is the hard wood has popped on several sections. He came out and said water damage... we did not have any appliance or running water in that area! After several sincere attempts to have him come resolve the issue, he refuses, and we will be taking him to court. First time in 51 years I have ever taken anyone to court! It saddens me that we have to go down this route! Just wanted the problem fixed! I found Wan through the referral of a neighborhood superintendent who said Wan did good work and lots of it for his boss's properties. I was leaving town that day until my move-in a few weeks later but had just been convinced that yes I should have the floors refinished before we moved in. Luckily, Wan was able to come over that day, and give me a fair estimate unlike the other floor finishing people I spoke to that day. He seemed a bit curt on the phone but was friendly, professional and clearly hard working in person. I checked his reviews online, which seemed mixed but I had a feeling that he was going to do a good job so we said let's do it. He was flexible with our payment and responsible with our keys, and he was understanding when I made a logistical mistake coordinating some with my neighbors. I imagine some jobs are more complicated or that some folks might have miscommunications or more exacting expectations. but he and his team did an excellent job on 2+ floors and 2 stair cases in a satin finish for us. read more

Do not hire wans hardwood floors. I did nor hire wans. I would have done my due diligence. My lousy builder hired Wan. Wan shellacked my vents shut. Still not corrected. I have holes and staples in my hardwood floors. Still not corrected. This was on my walk thru list. I settled at the end of February. Do not use this company. If I could give zero stars I would. They left our home a mess with stain splatters all over the walls. They also broke our bathroom medicine cabinet mirror. We just had an amazing experience with Wan's Hardwood Floors and I would highly recommend this company. Initial Call I let Wan know what I was looking to do and he was able to come to my house that same night to give an estimate. Great customer service. Initial Visit Wan stopped by and I walked him through my house. He took the time to show me what needs to be done, the flaws in the floor, how his team would be working and the time frame. I felt very comfortable with his explanation of the work, the cost for the job and the time frame for completion. It was great to have a professional not just tell you what needs to be done but walk you through the steps and the "why". We had some really bad spots on the floor and I did not realize all the work that needed to be done before he explained it to me. Wan even discussed the options for colors for the floor (we went with natural). Great customer service. Agreement of Work After I approved the work, he asked when I would like to get started. We are always working on things at the last minute so I asked if we could started immediately. Obviously, Wan will have jobs scheduled all the time but he was flexible with the start time and called me back that night to let me know they would start right away. He let me know what time they would be there and were on time every day - amazing! Great customer service. Start of Work They made sure that each of the rooms had plastic taped around the doorways so that it would minimize the dust (we knew what to expect from my initial visit meeting with Wan). They went right to work and the team there was very considerate to inform us of everything they were doing. They even filled in the holes or replaced the broken boards. Great customer service. Completion The floors look incredible! Everything Wan said he was going to do was done. They were always on time. The trash was picked up and bagged as well as put out by our trash cans. We have had many people come over and the first thing they all say is how beautiful the floors look and they wish they could have theirs look the same. Wan's flooring did an awful job restaining my hardwood floors. There are incomplete sections, dust and debris clear coated into the floor, the sheen is inconsistent; shiny in some spots and matte in others and even though he said his method would be dustless, my home was covered in dust. I am sorry I did not investigate Wan's Flooring and used him based off of a recommendation, it was an expensive and inconvenient mistake. Wan Phan the owner came back to my home only to argue that there was nothing wrong, but he wanted to rebuff and restain the floors and fix it? It made no sense and ended with him refusing to provide his license # and telling me to just sue him. When we called his office to get the license number we spoke with a woman that refused to provide it and began yelling about feeding her kids and she stated we would never get our money back. Very unprofessional and not what I thought I was paying for, if you want aggravation and disappointment Wan's Flooring will gladly provide it. read more
