    Fried mushrooms
    Jonathan S.

My food (shrimp dinner and fried mushrooms) was really good and tasty. The homemade tartar sauce was delicious and I'm very thankful for my server letting me sample it first before ordering as I'm very picky. The friend shrimp was tasty and deveined. The fries were crunchy and soft at the same time so perfect. The fried mushrooms was delicious as well with the ranch sauce. I did not personally care for the Mac and cheese. The restaurant had a very nice industrial style interior and they kept the temperature perfect! Server went above and beyond to help us and we greatly appreciated her.

My husband and I went there for the first time this past week. We are vacationing and were so glad we found it, it has been our favorite place so far. We each ordered the ribeye with a baked potato and fried mushrooms as an appetizer. We would give our fried mushrooms between a strong four 4 and a five 5, we really liked them! There was a lot of them, enough for a table of four to share, and they tasted really good. I was really surprised at how well I liked them, not everybody does a good job with fried mushrooms, but they did! We each liked our baked potato and would give them a four 4 . Our steaks were big in size, but we weren't really crazy about the flavor of them. We would give them a three 3 or 3 1/2. My husband said his was tough and somewhat overcooked, and he asked for it to be medium rare. Mine was charcoaled in some places, but in all fairness, my favorite cut is a filet mignon and for me that's hard to beat! We were also VERY impressed that the restaurant had a wall for prayer request and praise reports, and that actually gives us an idea for our youth at church. Our waiter's name was Oscar and he was very kind. It's very nice when you go someplace and the waitstaff greets you with a smile. We would definitely go there again as it was a bright spot on our trip.

Cute hostess stand made down a steel barrel and garage windows that I bet are awesome in warm weather!

First time passing through Jasper and so glad we did! This place is so cute. Exposed brick, high industrial ceilings, clean bathrooms and 80's- 90's rock playing at the perfect volume. We could hear it fine but could also hear each other without shouting. We are on Keto and our server Brianna was super sweet and so accommodating! We both had the ribeye with Caesar salad (no croutons) and green beans. Imagine our surprise when (yay!) we found out they serve Diet Dew on tap - who does that?!! The salad was fresh and delicious, even without the croutons. The dressing was rich and creamy and there was plenty of shredded parm. The green beans were canned, but we didn't mind. There was nothing woo-hoo about them but they were hot and had a nice flavor. The steaks were perfectly grilled just as we ordered and so juicy and flavorful! They had a pretty good crowd for Tuesday before Thanksgiving; we got the impression this place is very popular with the locals! Jasper is a cute little town, just a few miles off Highway 22. Highly recommend that you take a little detour and check it out. Tell Brianna that Clyde & Shauna from St. Louis sent ya!

I was very impressed. We are traveling through, didn't want fast food but something filling and on the healthier side. This place delivered. Love the prayer board. Such a heart warming thing to find. Food was slow coming out but if they are cooking to order that's to be expected. Fresh god is always better!

Food was excellent, good portions. Waitress was very nice and polite. Restaurant was very clean and so are the bathrooms.

Blackened catfish, sweet potato fries and broccoli.

Great atmosphere and food! Blackened catfish was really good. Wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and loved it.

First visits can benefit from a lucky night or a flawless kitchen shift, but a follow-up visit just one month later reveals the true baseline of day-to-day execution. I am thrilled to report that Johnny Brusco's is the real deal.Consistency is the hardest thing to achieve in the pizza world, yet their brick oven is performing with identical precision. This time, I pivoted from the classic cheese slice to test their specialty craftsmanship with the Bronx Bomber. The technical execution remains bulletproof. The undercarriage still boasts that beautiful, blistered char, maintaining perfect structural integrity with zero center-sag, even under a heavy canopy of premium meats. The dough fermentation process is clearly a strict science here. The rim cracked with the exact same airy, crisp snap I documented last month, followed by that signature pillowy chew. It is clear their kitchen staff operates with a high level of discipline week after week.Even under the strain of a hectic weekend rush, the service was synchronized, sharp, and incredibly welcoming. Dropping by twice in thirty days has only solidified my original stance: Johnny Brusco's isn't just riding a wave of good luck--they are running a flawless, high-standard operation.
