    Clam strips dinner
    Karen C.

My family had a large dinner gathering here recently. I think there were 11 or 12 of us. The restaurant staff did a great job taking care of us. The waitress was attentive and got everything correct. The support staff was very helpful as well. We had a variety of food and everything came out tasty and hot. I had the clam strips with fries and a small portion of cole slaw. I also got a side of cole slaw as I did not know it came with some. The clam strips were flavorful and a good portion. Fries were crisp outside and soft inside. Nice cole slaw. Some of us started in the bar side of things to have a drink. Looks like a nice dive bar atmosphere with pool tables and TVs. Overall a nice meal with family. Good service and food.

This is known as a Harford County staple. We had a nice evening. It was very old school feeling in here, and very popular for families or older crowds. They have a full bar and a whole dining room. The prices are affordable. They're known for their pit beef, you can smell the pit walking in this place. The meat is fresh and they're also known for their fish being fresh as well. Their corn fritters, that are deep fried, cover in powders sugar that you dip in maple syrup. Wow. That was something different and so good. Would recommend. They make their rolls homemade here and they're fresh and warm. The meat here tastes great. I loved the corned beef. The roast beef was good and so was the ham! Robin was our waitress and she was so sweet and lovely.

My dinner guest and I, in our late forties, were probably the youngest people in the dining room. That's not an accident here, I don't think. This restaurant has been around that long and clearly has a lot of regulars. The dining room is outdated, definitely. Very 70's vibe to it, complete with yacht rock in the background. So it was a bit jarring to see our server, who couldn't have been more than 16 at the most, come up and take our order. She was absolutely the sweetest thing, though, and was prompt and polite. I ordered a Reuben with chips, and a side of bacon cheese fries. Dinner guest ordered a hot roast beef sandwich and jalapeño poppers. The bacon cheese fries were tasty. Fries were hot and crispy, just like I like them, but it was pretty clear that the toppings were just bacon bits and shredded cheese out of a bag. It wasn't bad, just a little underwhelming. The Reuben, however, was damn near perfection. The ONLY thing that could have been improved was it needed a touch more dressing. But it was the perfect size, perfect taste, perfect balance. Very good. My companion also had no complaints about their food. The plates were absolutely clean. Our server, and others, were very pleasant and checked in on us regularly. Really, the only real downside was the outdated ambiance, plus the lack of air conditioning made it a little stuffy and hot inside. If that were updated, you'd have a 5 star review on your hands. Worth a visit. We'll probably come back again soon.

Decided to have a little "celebration" for a successful year end at our business. The good - attentive service. Called ahead and they held a table for 15 min until we arrived. Friday and it was packed. Cocktails good. Food, I've got some concerns. Appetizers - ordered cheesesteak eggrolls and octopus. Eggrolls were excellent. Octopus thought, I'm used to the presentation at Bacco's so I could do without it being cut into tiny pieces and buried in sauce. Salad - shared the kale salad. Great flavor but the ( wife's pet peeve when I serve it ), the kale was in very large chunks, could use a bit more chopping. Main Course - wife had stroganoff and I had the NY strip. I don't know what it is about Harford County but it's the last time I'll try to get a proper NY strip here. I should have known when it was only $52 on the menu. Steak & Main advertises "best steaks around" and serves the same 1/2" thin cut slice that looks like it came from Ponderosa but they charge $65 which is a ripoff. I like my steak rare and with a steak this thin, it's impossible but at least they were close. Again, stuff all over the top of the meat, a bit too much. Stroganoff - solid!! Dessert- Bananas Foster / solid!! My only gripe is the steak. We will be back for sure but I'm done trying to get one out and will just continue getting a nice cut from a butcher and treating myself at home.

The restaurant was packed. It was a very kind thing to do. That moment alone set the tone for the night. The food was outstanding. Better than we remembered it being. The bread arrived warm, and the oil had garlic in it. I never dunk in garlic oil, but tonight I was dunking everything. The bolognese was the perfect balance of creaminess, meat, and cheese. We also ordered two pizzas, both very enjoyable, and the lasagna was a hit as well. Our server was attentive and quick with requests, and the owner made a point to stop by most tables, which added a personal touch. We will definitely be back.

I go in…read moreevery few months for lunch and a drink because it's very close and convenient...figure I'll give it another chance. I had the "beef ravioli" a few days ago...the "marinara" sauce is sugary Ragu out of a jar at best. Still the same cheap bread that so obviously came frozen and fell off the back of a Sysco truck. Nice enough people I suppose and the service is perfectly adequate...I guess the family that owns it is trying...but I sure wish the food quality was 3x better at Enotria. Hire a far better chef, charge a couple bucks more if you need to, and buy far better quality ingredients. I'm no restaurant owner, but perhaps the solution is to cut the menu size by a 1/3rd and do the remainder far better. I'd be a regular at Enotria 2-3 times a week if it were actually high-end, fresh, quality Italian. There are carry out places in the area that have significantly better food than Enotria (Italian Sensation being a long time example). Vito's in Cockeysville is 3x better every single time. Drive to Reisterstown and Kecco's is excellent (a bit far away, admittedly). Liberatore's in Bel Air, while not close to as good as Vito's...is certainly better than Enotria and has picked it up during 2025 with a new chef. Enotria is in a tie for dead last Italian food in its area with Basta Pasta in Fallston...that would be the other slop Italian place in the area. I'd gladly pay more for a lunch or a dinner at Enotria if it were much higher caliber Italian food...and I suspect a lot of others would too. Enotria as it stands is completely cliche, marginal, "least common denominator" Italian food at most. Just because you play the same Dean Martin songs on repeat and yell "Bella Bella" to every woman that walks through the front door doesn't mean the food is any good.

We booked a 3:30 reservation and showed up at 3:15. Our server let us know it was her first time with a big party and she was nervous. She did her best and no complaints to her as she had to work the entire table by herself which made service extremely slow. We were at the restaurant for about 3 hours and the food was mediocre at best. I really do appreciate being able to allow my guests to choose what they each wanted to eat instead of having a set menu (dietary restrictions) and am aware this can also slow the kitchen down but I do believe the professionalism was lacking. As the bride and groom my family was disappointed we were not mentioned the entire service BUT we did get a congrats plate at the end. The small patio was nice for our group of 14 but the weather made it super muggy which they cannot control, the AC did not work though. The food was okay, definitely not worth what we paid (over 1,000 dollars) My husband and mother in law said the lobster mac and cheese was horrible. I think the only food my whole family enjoyed was the cream of crab soup :) Overall, our server was super sweet and Sue is great but my family and I are very disappointed and this experience made me upset on our wedding day. I will not be returning.
