If you're like me, you're looking for an alternative to Massage Envy because of how bad ME is. It's very difficult to get an appointment anytime in the near future, if at all, they jacked up their prices, their staff is horrific and good therapists are few and far between. I decided to try Elements and the staff are much nicer here, the month to month contract seems fairly straightforward and the therapists are good. However, what they don't tell you- you can buy the hour monthly membership but you can't actually book an hour long appointment. 3 times in just the first two weeks of membership, they've cancelled mine and my spouse's appointments because they don't allow hour slots except for once a day. Yet, they allow you to book the appointment to begin with. They just call you a day or two before you expect to get a massage and try to upsell you to a 90 minute. If you decline, the appointment gets cancelled. That's shady business practice. They blame it on their system but you know what, it's just a scam. Any business worth their salt will take the hit themselves if there is a system issue, not force the paying customer to deal with the negative consequence and repeated cancelled appointments. If the price was worth it, I would deal with the frustration but you're not receiving any benefit versus just going to any other regular therapist. At least with Massage Envy, you pay a little more than half of what Elements charges and as long as you book far ahead of time, you'll get massages. I'm bummed as I really wanted to use them regularly but it's not worth the headache.
