We ordered the Hibachi chicken and tempura vegetable app. The salad was perfect-the lettuce was fresh, cold and crispy. The ginger dressing was excellent. The tempura arrived popping hot and loved the mix of vegetables especially the sweet potatoes! The chicken was very good, well seasoned and cooked. We selected steamed rice instead of fried rice. Rating is primarily for service. Our server kept our drinks filled and was very kind. The pop is fountain pop, not cans or bottles. And refills are plentiful. Which is good to see. Crab rangoon was good. The sauce wasn't just the normal sweet chili sauce. Definitely sweet but with more spices. The ginger dressing on the salad was very good. Clear soup was flavorless. Still not sure why it is so common at restaurants. Tuna sushi was good. It had a wasabi type topping that was very good. Salmon was ok. Texture wasn't the typical tender type. Surf and turf roll was mediocre. The beef on top needed flavoring. Maybe just a little salt when cooking it. The sauces in top (I believe it was labeled as ranch and balsamic) didn't add enough flavor to make sense. The magic roll was also ok. Nothing special. The spicy tuna inside was not spicy at all. When I tell you this was delicious, I mean it. I love sushi and I decided to try it for lunch. They have a lunch special with 3 rolls and your choice of soup or salad. I had salad with a California roll, a salmon and avocado roll and a shrimp tempura roll. All were delicious. The server was amazing and very attentive. The interior is modern and well thought out. We have been to most of the highly rated sushi in the area and I'm not sure how we missed Wasabi. It will now be our go to place. We ordered 3 rolls - 784, American Dream and the Tuna Dragon roll. All three were outstanding but the 784 roll with crabmeat, avocado, cream cheese and spicy shrimp on top was my favorite. Good spice level and great taste. The American Dream roll with deep fried shrimp and spicy crab and lobster tasted very fresh and good bite. The tuna dragon roll, with spicy tuna and sliced tuna topped with a jalapeño was also great. The miso soup was also excellent l. The restaurant was not busy on a Sunday afternoon. Service was fantastic. I like the decor and restaurant was quiet. We lived in Springboro for 10 yrs, and our favorite Chinese restaurant was the one that occupied this building previously. We moved away from OH about 20 years ago now, but were recently in town for the holidays to visit family. We decided to give Wasabi a try. Turned out to be a great choice. To me, there is a lot of overlap between Chinese and Japanese food, and I like them both. My wife had the miso soup, the crunchy roll, and we split a bacon avocado roll. Then I had the chicken fried rice. Both rolls were very good, but the chicken fried rice was outstanding. Maybe the Best fried rice I have ever had. We will definitely be back, and recommended it to everyone we saw that week. read more

The new Wasabi restaurant just opened near DLM Springboro, so we decided to try. Love the atmosphere - as we entered the ambiance felt fresh, light, and inviting. We ordered sushi rolls, sashimi, tempura and Udon bowl - it all arrived quickly, beautifully plated. The spicy tuna roll was one of the best I have had - Super fresh! The Udon bowl was huge, brimming with noodles - it had a very flavorful broth. My tempura shrimp was very good as well. The pricing was beyond reasonable and service was spot on. So glad to welcome this new restaurant to our neighborhood! We will be regulars! read more

Absolutely 10/10! We loved China Cottage, but they did a GREAT job renovating and upscaling the food. Hibachi steak and chicken was tender and flavorful. Crab rangoons were maybe the best I have ever had. And the sushi. Basically delicious seafood candy it was so sweet. This is now our go to spot. read more

We have been here twice in the last few weeks. Once for dinner and a second time for a late lunch on the weekend. Service was good, the food was great and beautifully presented. They don't have a liquor license yet, but it was no big deal. The ice tea isn't consistent, but still good. We'll definitely be back or order takeout sushi read more
