Highlight: Bulgogi Dolsot ($18.95) Ordered the bulgogi dolot. Had the option of a soup or salad side. The miso soup had a single strand of seaweed and tofu, but surprisingly had a deep, umami flavor and tasted hearty. The dolsot did not have a lot of rice or traditional veggies, and the beef was on the dry side. The sauce was sweet and savory. Felt like the dish had more beef than rice but overall had a good flavor. Hospitality: Friendly and attentive. Honorable Mention: Not a lot of seating and the tables are closer together.

Get the bento box during lunch. The spicy chicken or pork is amazing. Their fried veggies are great and the spicy cabbage soup will cure all your ailments! Greater selection and adorable atmosphere.

The food is phenomenally delicious However, don't expect any friendliness from the staff. They acted like we were bothering them by being there. Very rude and smug. Luckily my friends and were able to laugh it off, but it was really out of place to act that way. Maybe opt for take out. The bibimbop was wonderfully prepared

Love, love, love Kabuki! We warmed up with hot green tea and miso soup before starting in on our sushi rolls. If you're a sushi fan, you will definitely enjoy the robust menu. If you're not a sushi fan, they also have rice and noodle dishes. Yum.

A good place with nice service. The sushi was good and kimchi pancake was ok. The miso soup was also good.

I got take-out from here, so I can't make much comment about the environment, but the person in the phone was pleasant, I enjoyed the variety of their menu (I ordered "fresh rolls" and bulgogi), the food was ready when they said it would be, and the taste was great! I'll order from them again and maybe even drag my wife here as well. I have heard lots of good things about this restaurant. I think you will enjoy this pace.

Best sushi in Dayton. Really tucked away and looks deceiving but it's cozy and intimate inside. Sushi is great quality you can't get anywhere else and not too pricey. Never disappointed here

This place is a hole in the wall. In need of many repairs. If you can get past that, I would recommend it 100%. Good sushi and kind staff.

Is there an all you can eat sushi bar?

No this is not an all you can eat sushi bar

Do they have a private room for parties?

No, I’m sorry we are very small and can not accommodate large parties

I don't like sushi or anything spicy. I'm sort of a plain jane sort of eater. Will they have something for me? Also, why don't they have their menu posted? That would help!?

Hi there! You might like the chicken teriyaki, bulgogi beef, or sweet and sour chicken. We also have fried rice that you can add chicken, beef or shrimp that you may enjoy. You can go to www.eatatkabuki.com to see our menu

Anyone know if they accept reservations?

We take Call Ahead Seating. This is where you call about 20-30 minutes before you would like to arrive and we will add you to our wait list. This minimizes you’re wait at the actually restaurant. I hope this helps!

    Do you serve kimchi?

Hey there, yes we do, but only upon request. I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with

Do they have sushi buffet, all you can eat too? Thanks in advance!

Hi there! We do not have a buffet or all you can eat. I hope this helps! Best.

The sleek, modern décor makes it feel both stylish and inviting. Since it's still new, it was quite busy with plenty of people eager to check it out. We expected a wait, and sure enough, there was one. The only downside is that the front area isn't designed for waiting -- there's just a small bench and not much space to stand without being in the way. The staff, however, were attentive and worked quickly to seat everyone. We were initially told the wait would be 45 minutes and were about to leave, but as we turned to go, they let us know it had dropped to 20-30 minutes, so we decided to stay. Right before being seated, we learned that everyone at the table needs to choose either the Kpot or BBQ option. We weren't familiar with how it worked, so we went with BBQ. Once seated, it felt a bit overwhelming at first -- the booths are very large! I'm on the shorter side, so I found it a little difficult to get comfortable since I had to lean forward quite a bit to reach the table. The food itself was okay -- tasty to me but not outstanding -- I think I just got impatient with the grilling. The prices were on the higher side. Still, the overall experience was exciting and fun. It's definitely a great place to go with a group if you're looking for something lively and different.

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot offers an "all-you-can-eat" dining experience in which customers cook their own food at the table. Guests can choose between Korean BBQ, hot pot, or both, and then order a variety of raw meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles via iPad. Standing buffet seems sparse, and do rely on ipad and servers to bring a variety of noodles, veggies, rice, broths, meats, and seafood to your table for cooking. Tanya was our very informed server who talked very fast, but learn by experience was our task. Nicely remolded property which permitted a few parent with screaming children to cause us regret at selecting a lunch. Kpot has the potential of being a nice date night location - depends on screaming children who are in attendance. Travel tip, there is another Asian buffet on Kingsridge Drive. We like the newness of the property, the menu, the service, the food, and the overall experience. Kpot seems to be doing a thriving business, and this is a small chain.

There was plenty of parking and signage. They have a varied and very authentic menu to choose from! We ordered a broth based lo mein noodle bowl and a hand pulled cold dry noodle bowl. Food was brought out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. YES!! presentation and taste were perfect. Their prices and portions are reasonable and I love everything about this place, down to their cat portraits adorning the walls! Wish this place opened a location in Cleveland! The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. The prices are very fair for the quality of food they provide, and service throughout the night was decent. I will probably be back again, if I visit Dayton!
