    Sushi & Sashimi Lunch Combo
    Katrina T.

I got the sushi and sashimi lunch combo! For the price, the food is pretty good. The lunch combo comes with a salad and miso soup which were all pretty big portions. I felt like I just ordered salad tbh with how much they gave, but it was nice and filling so I don't mind. The soup was good because they added real tofu! The sushi itself was yummy. My favorite pieces were the black skin fish, salmon, and squid. I would say the sashimi is better than the sushi though, next time I would just get sashimi because the rice wasn't rly contributing anything. I came during lunch so it was very quiet. The parking is amble but very gravely and odd which is a minus. Overall solid lunch special for around $20

It was sharp. Glad I found it before it went into my mouth.

I am a huge ramen fan. There are a few new ramen spots in my area, and I wanted to check one out today. This used to be Wasabi 34, so I was surprised to see it was now Wasabi Kaizen. I placed an online order of tonkotsu ramen for takeout. The online ordering process was simple and convenient. I think the prices are fair, especially for the lunch menu ($14+tip and tax = $17). My order was ready within 15 minutes. Pick up was easy, and I saw that they upgraded the inside of the restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise to see they included a small miso soup and small salad with my order, as I wasn't expecting it. Ramen was packed up nicely with the broth in a separate container. Egg was cooked perfectly. Lots of utensils and napkins. Here's where it goes a bit sideways. I probably should have considered the ingredients better, because I was surprised to see a load of bean sprouts added. That's unusual for ramen. The pickled ginger (radish?) had a super strong sour taste... and I enjoy ginger. Bamboo shoots were chewy, I spit the first bite out. There was no seaweed and not many scallions. The braised pork was tough (one piece was kind of like jerky - 2 pieces of pork altogether). The broth, though - it tasted unlike any tonkotsu I've had. It put me off a bit. A bit sweet/sour(?), kind of gamey(?). Noodles were okay, slightly over-soft IMO. Anyway, I removed the sprouts and tucked in. I'm not super loving it but I'm hungry... and then, I pull out a small silver wire thing. Immediately stop eating. I now have a giant bowl of ramen sitting on my counter. Good news is I fill up quickly. Onto the other new ramen spot I found, for next time.

The sushi here is really good, but I like their ramen more. Their tonkatsu ramen has a rich broth with amazing slices of roasted pork. It was really delicious. Wasabi Kaizen also has lots of little Japanese eats. We ended up ordering several of these appetizers to share. The karaage (fried chicken) was really crispy and so were the mentai potatoes. The age tofu and star crab salad was yummy too. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. It's an unexpected place to find good Japanese food so I try to stop here for a meal whenever I'm in the area.

We can back again! Ordered the Tonkatsu again! Hubby ordered it with me this time! Again, the broth is outstanding, the pork belly was scrumptious, enoki mushrooms , bamboo shoots etc! There are lots of Ramen noodle places opening up all over the place and I always choose to drive right back here. Tonight, we met the young man named Wally who is one of the owners.!! It's refreshing to see owners come to the table and making sure that you enjoyed the food! We drive all the way from Freehold. What does that tell you

    Chicken Teriyaki

Real good authentic Japanese. The waitress was so sweet. She let me have shrimp tempura with no vegetables. I would definitely try this place. We're going back try something else. I like the cherry blossom tree in the center with fishies in the ceiling.

This sushi restaurant is getting better and better every time I go there. They not only offer more variety of dishes but also more fresh delicious salads. The service is always great. The surrounding area is quiet and inside decor is very artistic.

I tried to give this new spot a fair shot, especially because it's so close to me, but it was pretty disappointing to say the least. The cooked food selection was limited. No fried oysters?! On top of that, the cooked food that we did order was bland and bordered on nursing home food. Service was very slow even though it wasn't busy. It took almost an hour for the sushi to be served and we only ordered 2 rolls and a few pieces of nigiri. I noticed that there were way more waitstaff than sushi chefs. The interior was decorated beautifully and the employees were nice, but that's really the only positive thing I have to say :(

I didn't anticipate the restaurant to be so packed as it looks unassuming given its location, but I was wrong! Had to wait a good 30-40 minutes to get a table for 2. Once you review the menu, you put up the sign that says "service needed" to indicate to the staff you are ready to order. They have disclaimers (rightfully so) to not over order as to minimize food waste.Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and tasted very fresh! Def a great deal (just under $30 PP for all you can eat) and a great variety of options.

I had to scramble to get another reservation somewhere else and they did not respond to any phone calls or voicemails, regarding an explanation. Very unprofessional!! Please also see my review below for a previous experience I had there. I also have a $150 gift card that I am unable to use! Pros: Plenty of tuna available, served with fresh wasabi. Cons: Limited or no rice (asked multiple times, but few had it), mediocre appetizer quality and quantity, chaotic and loud atmosphere, no water provided (asked multiple times), and the fish was not sourced from Japan. I was disappointed with the tuna cutting event. I had expected a more formal and relaxed setting, similar to my previous omakase experience, but instead, it was loud, crowded, and chaotic. I also assumed the fish would be sourced from Japan and that the appetizers would be of somewhat comparable quality and quantity to those at the previous omakase dinner, due to the price of the dinner. Additionally, my girlfriend and I were very sick afterward and still are (throwing up etc). People were throwing up outside as well. The lack of rice, limited appetizers, and no access to water made it difficult to balance the meal. Having these options would have helped settle our stomachs and balanced the meal, instead of just eating pure tuna. We also didn't drink much (less than two weak alcoholic beverages each since we rarely drink), which made the event feel less worthwhile. Offering a non-alcoholic price option could be beneficial for guests like us. Overall, I found the event underwhelming and wouldn't attend again. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.

Cocktails were a reasonable price, they do not offer wine, and many sake options. Most are quite pricey, but the warmed sake was $28 for a carafe. We got two and split it between the three of us. They warm it in the microwave, which I thought was slightly awkward, as the microwave was in the main dining area, near where some of the alcohol was stored. Our dining experience started off with three appetizers. They were interesting but not quite that flavorful in my opinion. The sushi coming out after we're much nicer. I especially liked the pickled vegetables on top of a few of the pieces. I mentioned in my reservation that I was a pescatarian and as they only asked for food allergies before they began and not preferences/dietary restrictions, I did not mention it. I wasn't offered anything instead of the wagyu piece so I ended up giving it to my friend. They were, however, very mindful of my friend's shrimp allergy. Bill ended up being $136 for the 16 courses plus the drinks, tax and tip.

We were greeted at the door and were aloud to pick our seat. The ambience is such a cool Asian inspired atmosphere. Mural on the wall, little table top waterfall on the sushi station, bonsai and other nicknacks on the shelves and tv showing peaceful marine life. The menu is very sushi dense, with the whole first 3 pages being sushi. I got the shrimp tempura, dragon roll, and Philly roll with a miso soup. My partner got the green curry, miso soup and white rice. My sushi rolls were so delicious, perfectly fresh, and just so yummy. Shrimp tempura roll 9.0/10 Dragon Roll 8.7/10 Philly Roll 9.1/10 The green curry was different from what we've had in the past, it came out in more of a curry soup.
