This review is just for those looking to do laundry. This place does offer wash & fold service, but I have not taken advantage of that. I am always pressed for time so doing one load at a time at home is the pits. I come to the laundromat to get a lot done at niece and this place makes that possible. Semi-Large machines are a bit pricey ($4.75 per load) but they hold about 1 1/2 to 2 times a normal machine and are done in 21 mins. But don't fret this place has machines of all sizes - even one large enough for a average size person to crawl into. There are even a bunch of top loading machines for you old school types. Dryers are huge and not that expense. $.25 per 8 minutes and even my large loads of towel only need 40 mins to dry in these machines. So big I can often combine lights and whites in a single dryer to save money. I've been a few times and never had to wait for a machine, never had a machine breakdown on me, machines are clean and smell like they should and always plenty of quarters in the coin machine. 90 mins or less and I'm done with 4/5 loads of laundry. I dropped off my clothes to be washed, dried, folded and put on Hangers. Yolanda asked me for details on what I wanted folded and what I wanted on hangers. I told her the only thing I wanted folded was underclothes, Pajamas, leggings, and t-shirts. That night I get a call from her At 10pm saying that I could pick my things up in the morning and that most of my things required hangers and she had to double some things on a hanger. I asked her why she didn't call me if she needed more hangers and she said she did the best she could. It was 10pm when she called me And her phone call had waken me up from sleeping so I figured I'd see what she was talking about and deal with it in the morning when I went to pick them up. I get there to pick them up the next day and Yolanda isn't there because it's not her shift. I see goo gobs of hangers behind the counter. I immediately ask the current workers if these are new hangers and they respond by saying No. I asked if they were there yesterday and they said Yes. I told them who I was and asked them for my things. They give me my laundry and I see that Yolanda only put about 10% percent of my things on hangers and folded the rest. Yolanda folded dresses, blouses, etc and had a pair of leggings on a hanger with some jeans, gown and housecoat. She completely ignored my directions. I expressed my concerns to the workers who were there at the time and they said they didn't do my clothes so they couldnt speak to me about it. They said they had no clue why Yolanda didn't follow my directions because there was more than enough hangers and it's easier to hang things than to fold them anyways. I asked to speak to a manager so they called the owner. The owner refused to speak to me because he said he isn't the one who did my clothes. Finally, they call Yolanda and she agrees to refund me $20 of the $180 I was paying for the service. I was highly upset because my whole point in paying someone for the service was to not have to end up doing it myself. I don't have nearly enough drawer space for my wardrobe to be folded. Majority of my things go in my closet on hangers. Yolanda Failed to follow simple directions and then called me and lied About there not being enough hangers. If you use the drop-off laundry service at Washland coin laundry in Glenwood, I highly recommend you using someone other than Yolanda. read more

I see this place got some good reviews cause its clean and has lots of machines. I give them that, but thats not all to consider. The customer service sucks big time. Where is the attendent? Not at the counter for a long time. So I'm waiting and waiting then finally a real slow old lady ask me can she help me. I ask for two 5's for a ten. She walk off and takes her damn sweet time before finally checking her pockets. Why she had to walk all the way around the laundromat first. Shouldn't you be dress the part of a professional so as to be recognized? Its a lot of people just unprofessional these days. read more

This laundromat has to be the worse for washing comforters. This is my third and final time using their machines and the location is very convenient. The first time my comforter was burnt by the dryer! I mean stiff as a board burnt. The second time I couldn't get my comforter out. The older lady that worked at this particular location on 183rd had to use a screw driver and perform surgery on the door to get it to open. Today my comforter is so tangled and knotted that I cant get it untangled. A brand new comforter has to be thrown away. The owner really didn't seem interested in my situation or when I told him this was my third time with a problem. Don't use their big washer or their dryer for your comforters. read more

First, I never thought I would be writing a review for a Laundromat, but in the last year I have been to a few in the city of Chicago. I was using an off site laundry facility because Prairie Shores has some issues :too many to share at this moment! I am so obsessive when it comes to anything, especially, when doing something new; I digress, I googled best Laundromats for two days and found this one! Let me say that this placed surpassed my expectations; I guess this place is the Bentley of Laundry. I loved the cleanliness of the floors, machines, including where the detergent goes which is scary at most places, the dryers and the lighting was amazing. I live quit the distance and I will be returning. It is worth the trek. If you are looking for courteous and helpful staff (yes some of us need help in the laundromat -lol), amazingly clean floors , washers and dryers..and lighting that reflects the cleanliness... this is the place! !!! read more

Bad Service. Manager is Unprofessional. Manager is very Rude. I googled and asked for Free Dry Laundromat 60425 and it gave me this address. I asked the lady if it was Free dry she said No.. And called her boss. I went to the restroom and came out and the boss wanted to speak to me on Her personal cell phone.... And ask me if I would screen shot as if I was lying... He then gave me his number and asked me to text him my screen shot. Then got angry because he saw that it did say free dry. Then I told him that 159 in,Harvey has free dry I'm going there he said well if u want to RISK your LIFE. but I'll give u 2 Free dry. I said No sir.
