Took my 90-year-old mother here for the first time, and I'm honestly shocked by the lack of basic human decency. My mother has serious mobility issues -- standing and sitting are difficult. I simply asked if we could be seated while the third person in our party parked the car so she wouldn't have to stand and struggle. The manager refused, word-for-word: "We can't let you take the seats until the other person is inside." No compassion, no flexibility, not even a moment of understanding. Just a cold "policy" excuse while a 90-year-old woman waited uncomfortably. I get that restaurants have rules. But if your policy can't bend for elderly guests with mobility challenges, something is seriously wrong with your priorities. A business that claims to "make customers happy" should start with basic empathy. Very disappointed. If you care about accessibility, respect, or just simple kindness -- think twice before coming here.

Saturday sushi date before a movie and eating at the bar was the right move. The bartender was great and I value great service as much as quality food. Everything we ordered came out piping hot, fast, and our extra requests were obliged without a wink. I thought it was just the hibachi that ended in leftovers but I have a Togo box for the teriyaki shrimp entree as well! Great portions, a nice grill on the shrimp and fresh veggies that kept their integrity and flavor. The green dragon is a new roll for me and it was light and out together well. This contained no raw ingredients- the flavor wasn't extremely impactful but that could be personal preference- no "wow" for me. For a chain restaurant with many moving pieces and parts I had a great experience

Great bartender and service for a Friday evening. Sushi was fabulous - loved the freshness of the yellowtail and some of the best spicy tuna we have had. Can't wait to come back for a happy hour (mon thru Thursday) or hibachi - the smells were so amazing it was enticing!! Great vibes all around here.

Pretty solid hibachi, was able to get a reservation for a part of 10. Pros are massive portion sizes, rather inexpensive menu Cons are with most hibachi spots, not the best quality of food and more of a show

On my birthday, April 13, 2025, I visited this establishment. Unfortunately, I was not informed that cutting cakes is prohibited on weekends, which resulted in the manager, Petter M, becoming extremely upset because we cut the cake. He was unaware that a family friend of mine worked at the establishment and had overheard the situation. Upon arriving home, I noticed a my wallet wasn't with me. I realized that I had left my wallet at the wasabi restaurant, which contained all my birthday money, important cards, and other valuables. Unfortunately, they were stolen. I independently filed a police report. However, the store claims that there are no cameras in the area where the hibachi grills are located. I have a bright neon green wallet that is easily noticeable. The store informed me that it was possibly stolen or thrown away. The manager, Petter M, expressed a desire for our departure to make room for new guests. I am perplexed that no one saw my neon green wallet, which had over $300 in it. Look at the picture. You obviously see that bright neon wallet oh, and my server name was Henry just in case he stole it

I recommend this pricey hibachi place with reservations. I had a relatively good time at the Independence Wasabi with my group for our business lunch, but we all agreed the show was not that interesting and the food was WAY WAY WAY TOO SALTY! (I haven't gotten back all my sense of taste and smell from when I lost it back in January 2023 due to Covid, so if I say the food is way too salty, you know there's a problem.) I mentioned that the show wasn't that great. The chef didn't do any tricks or make it worth watching at all. He just kind of.... cooked. A meal and a show is the whole point for overpaying for some noodles and a protein! He also kind of judged me for not taking the "standard" meal. Excuse me?? Also, I didn't want any rice and only a little bit of noodles, asking for extra veggies to make up for it. I did not receive any extra veggies. But I do have to say the veggie mix was tasty (the mushrooms were a 10/10!) and my chicken was moist and flavorful (well, as flavorful as my affected taste buds can tell!) The ginger salad was also very fresh and tasty. I thought the lunch menu also came with miso soup and was hoping to have some, but the soup never came. Also, the chairs are WAYYY too close together. Like, I get that they want to pack as many people in as possible at each station, but c'mon. I'm a thin woman and was elbow to elbow with the people on both sides. Ridiculous. In all, we might just have had a bad chef so your experience may vary but my experience at Wasabi was pretty mediocre.

Today, August 18th, my husband and I dined in at Wasabi. I ordered the Seafood Trio and he ordered the chicken and steak (see attached receipt). While eating, I discovered an under cooked piece of chicken had (accidently, I'm sure, but still) been put on my plate. I informed our server, who informed the manager, who offered to have my food remade "in the back." That is all. No apology, no offer to comp a portion of the bill, nothing. And, considering I could have eaten said piece of chicken and gotten violently ill, offering to remake my food was not nearly enough to make it right. I got the food to go, since it was nearly closing time, and the quality of said food was mid, at best (see attached photos). Extremely disappointed at how management handled the situation.

The food is really good, but I do have to say they need to ramp up their cleaning protocols, particularly in the bathrooms

I went for diner and it was amazing. The chef was so entertaining and engaging and made the food perfectly. He gave huge portions that was more than I could ever eat. The place is well lit with a cool colorful lights. This is a must go to.

Same ole Wasabi, it still tastes good. This location could use some CLEANING though. Had to swap plates for cleaner ones. Also, when you walk inside it smells like dead/old fish, are the fish in that indoor pond alive???

**This is a 3.5 star review.**…read more I was looking for something a little different in the culinary challenged town of Parma, and this joint fit the bill. The atmosphere here was warm, inviting and clean on our visit. And despite that they had bluegrass music blaring, it still felt like a Japanese restaurant. Service here was also polite, quick and efficient. I started with an order of calamari, which literally came out in two minutes. It was panko-crusted and about as rubbery as the set of Michelins that I had installed on my car a few weeks ago. That's not a deal-breaker, as there have been only two places in my life that have served melty calamari -- both of them Italian joints, As an aside, there are two secrets to cooking calamari. First, they need to soak in milk, as the lactic acid breaks down muscle. Secondly, they need to be dredged in an egg mixture so they brown quickly without overcooking the meat. But I digress. I took a couple sips of the miso soup, which was nicely flavored. I didn't touch the salad, but the person who did said it was good. The udon noodles were nicely presented and had excellent flavor. The coconut shrimp was the total opposite of the calamari in that it was cooked to perfection. I'm not sure what the dipping sauce was, but it was also phenomenal, and I'll be looking for a copycat recipe. As for the sushi, it was good. Not earth-shattering, but beautifully presented with a nice contrast of flavors and temperatures. I'm not sure about the cherry on top, but what the hell. If I lived here, this place would be a regular stop for me ... especially because they have Sam Adams Boston Lager on draft.

I usually order from UberEats, and I normally just order salmon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, etc., because I normally have avocado at home. This one time--I didn't have any. But I also didn't want to pay extra for avocado. I placed a note in my UberEats order "PLEASE ADD AVOCADO". And they did--no extra charge. I was so happy and I devoured my meal. My top picks: * Spicy Tuna * Salmon Lover * Salmon Roll, Tuna Roll, & Spicy Salmon Roll One day, we went inside to celebrate my friends birthday. She was a fan of hibachi, and wanted to try sushi for the first time. I had came earlier and asked them to store a cake for me--they gladly took it and presented it at a timely manner for us to celebrate her first sushi + her cake! Above and BEYOND this restaurant goes--impeccable service and quality.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.
