As a recently engaged man, I became an expert in all things about engagement ring and diamonds. I needed to get my ring sized, but I didn't know who to go to. Everywhere I went they quoted me insane prices and even more insane turn around times. 2 weeks?!? Come on! I had heard of Ozzy the jeweler from a friend who took some work for him and what I thought was convenient was the fact hat he had an Instagram where I could see his work beforehand. Which is good because you get a feel for the jeweler and you can see what he can and can't do. I was amazed of the work he can do because he's such a young guy. I decided to drive up from oceanside and took my precious ring with me and he said he could size it while i waited and for only $30! We're talking about a white gold diamond ring here people. I waited and got bbq next door at major market and decided it would be a nice gesture to take Ozzy the jeweler a bbq sandwich. Anyways, when i saw the ring, it looked flawless and you could not tell it was sized down. It went from a 4.25 to a 4 and you just couldn't tell. He also rechecked all my stones and polished and did a rhodium plating. It looked amazing. He knocked off a few buck too for giving him some bbq lol. The store owner, Chris Gaggo contacted me after seeing my review, and reached out to make things right - which he did. My watch was still in their possession after all this time; he was able to locate it for me, and get it all squared away. Their staff was very helpful when I picked up my watch, and Chris said that he's able to be more involved now with his staff. The lady that was working when I'd visited in 2012 is no longer there. Terrible, terrible, terrible....WAY overpriced and do not stand behind/guarantee their work. Took in a ring to be resized - they charged me $95 for it (which was MUCH more than I was later quoted from several jewelry stores). Then, when I picked it up, it fit over my knuckle, but spun around so that you could only see the back of the ring while on my finger. Their reason? The ring is "top heavy" (which one would have hoped they would have noticed when I gave them the ring - & they measured my finger). Their solution? Add a cheap, unsightly "bumper" to the back of the ring for "free" or...you guessed it....charge me MORE to fix it with a permanent solution. Um - so I just paid you $95 to have a ring fit me, which doesn't - but to make it fit, we'll charge you more?! Nope. NEVER EVER TAKE JEWELRY THERE FOR REPAIRS/REVISIONS, unless you want (a) their measuring up front to be inaccurate, (b) their workmanship to require additional fixes for MORE money and (c) to be charged more than all competitors in the area. I'm all for supporting small, local businesses - but, not for this type of shoddy service!!! read more

I came here when my Movado stopped working, assuming it was just a battery issue. There is a steady stream of folks coming in and out, when I got there only one person was ahead of me. I explained that I needed a battery, and he took my watch and asked me to come back in 15 minutes. I did, got the watch, paid the very modest amount he charged and left. I was sitting in my car afterwards for about 40 minutes doing email and noticed the watch time still hadn't changed. I went back in and let him know. He took the watch, opened the back, did some little brushing and air spray on the insides, closed it up and told me there was some gunk on the inside which he cleaned and said the watch should run fine...which it has ever since! He wouldn't even let me give him any additional money for the repair. Forever customer :-). read more

I have gone here a few times. First, he is a one man show and his name is Jack. Jack is a amazing guy with one of the best attitudes you will find anywhere. He treats everyone as important and for that you need to be patient. The place is always busy and you need to prepare to wait... and wait you should. They recently fixed a Bulova my wife had given me for my birthday about 10 years ago. It had a hitch between the hour hand and the date and would stop at 1 everyday. I had taken to a few others that quoted my $250 for a reman movement. Problem was the watch and the movement had been discontinued. This is how I discovered Jack and the watch outlet. Jack had the watch fixed by someone who cares and knows what they are doing and it cost me a whopping $25. Jack is awesome, has a great attitude and doing business is worth the wait. Just be patient and plan on a 10 minute wait and enjoy the service. read more

I came here during lunch to get a new battery for my watch. This place is older on the inside and without many frills but I was greeted immediately by a staff member. He changed the battery for me while I went across the way for a few minutes to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks. When I returned my watch was ready for me. Total cost was $7.50 which I thought was pretty cheap based on prior experiences at other repair shops. I should note that they don't take debit/credit for purchases under $10 so have cash on you. Love the place! I originally went in there because I had a coupon for a discounted watch battery. The service was quick and affordable. I have been taking my watches there for years now. I recieved a coupon from a competitor (Palomar Jewelers, check out my horrible review on them) and got horrible service. They told me my watch was broken and it wasn't the battery. This was a less than 1 year old Guess watch. I left their place of business, drove straight to watch Outlet and my problems were resolved quickly, painlessly and inexpensively. ._._._Okay let me start by saying that I came to this place to get my girlfriend's ring resize and I was told at many places it was impossible to resize because the band was thin, but Ozzy did it, he did the impossible and resized it. Best of all was the super super!!! Low price . most places wanted $30 or more and Ozzy only charge me a couple of bucks. Now the ring looks perfectly, even with a magnifying glass I can't see the joint. This Ozzy guy is amazing and I will gladly come back. This small business is amazing! I take all my little watches here for batteries, they did a battery on my Frederique Constant and now its ticking like usual! Wait time was like 5 minutes. They also do jewelry repair and cleanings. The jeweler Ozzy always polishes and does the white rhodium finish on my white gold wedding rings! He's also been fixing all my cute littlw jewelry for years! :) they come out looking like new. The customer service is very good. This is a terrific option located next door to Major Market. I needed a few watch batteries replaced. They were EXCELLENT. Quick turnaround (less than 10 minutes with other customers who were ahead of me) pleasant staff and VERY reasonable pricing of $8.50 per watch to replace the battery. This was after I checked at the North County Fair Mall where they tried to up sell a $75.00 lifetime battery deal per watch. When I questioned it, they offered the lowest non warranty "deal" of $35.00 per watch. The scam like feeling from the Mall reminded me Unicorn Jewelry in Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch. That's how's I found Watch Outlet from another Yelp review who had been burned by Unicorn and who mentioned a watch repair shop next to Major Market. Thanks Yelp! read more

30-minutes ago I took my Omega Speedmaster in to have the band repaired and one of my Citizen America's Cup watches to have the battery replaced. Andrew was able to do both in about 10-minutes. The charge was minimal compelling me to purchase a nice silicone strap for the Citizen. Watch Outlet is a Authorized Citizen Dealer and has a extensive inventory of straps and bracelets.
