Very good place was in the area for work. Was recommended to me by a few locals. Very decorated and festive for the holiday hostess was very nice and welcoming unfortunately I couldn't stay and eat. I took it to go but food was really good especially the Korean barbecue wings that I requested to be well done and also ordered the beef short rib with mashed potatoes, which was really good. If loud bar flies drinking and conversing at the top of their lungs magnified by harsh acoustics during lunch time is not a turn off for you, this could be an enjoyable eating spot. Also the presence of interestingly placed steps made for a bit of adventure for we who are a bit older. The menu is diverse and interesting. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient and the venue was clean. Lunch was simply not enjoyable due to other patrons and while this is not inherently the fault of the venue, it is the reason I will never return. I believe the bar is the main attraction here and the food service a compliment. Don't discount trying this place but be prepared for a loud, bar experience. read more

This place is not wheelchair accessible. At least as far as I can tell. My husband is in a kneeling walker from ankle Surgery. There was a ton of ice and snow by the ramp leading to the door. Then there were several steps and no ramp leading to the bar and another step leading to the dining area. My husband had to hop all the way. I can't imagine how someone using a wheelchair could get into this restaurant. Food and service was good though. read more

This is a must visit when I am back home. Food is amazing and the staff is the nicest around! Last night we had crab stuffed mushrooms to start. Very very good and a perfect size of mushroom, not the super big portabella. Then I had my go to Rueben. I think the best one I've had in a long time. (And I get them everywhere I go, trust me!) and huge! Lunch for the next day for me. Side of waffle fries too. He had waitress recommended a sausage and chicken pasta dish. We were visiting the Clark Art Museum and the staff there recommended this place. It turned out to be a terrific lunch. My wife had a salad which she felt was ok. I had just a plain hamburger (medium rare) with the fries which I thought was one of the best I've ever had. read more

It's a solid local tavern with good pub grub. We visited on Christmas Eve day for lunch and loved the festive atmosphere. It is a local spot. One surprising thing was the fact the restaurant did not carry any actual fresh eggs (we wanted a fried egg in a burger). Staying overnight on a ski trip I was looking for dinner and came up with the Water Street Grill on Yelp. Nice atmosphere and a good menu seemed like just what I was looking for. I was not really hungry so I decided that I would get the Fish Tacos. The menu description sounded good, but for whatever reason the taste of the tacos just did not come together for me. The fried fish was OK but just seemed to be overwhelmed by the other flavors. The waffle fries were generous and very good. Overall I just think that I ordered the wrong item from the menu and it looked like others in the restaurant were enjoying their meals. My experience at Water Street Grill was OK, but nothing special, I think that had more to do with what I choose then the rest of the menu. read more

This place was out of so many things we tried to order, and they only let us know way after the order was placed and after waiting for 5+ minutes. No steak or clam chowder. Perhaps it was for the best, as the food was extremely disappointing. Saltiest and burnt waffle fries, while the ribs were loaded with sodium and tough. The food is always delicious here. The specials are always so tempting that it makes it difficult to choose. The clam chowder is seasoned just right and the steak tips melt in your mouth. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Another great thing is that the cocktails and desserts are very reasonably priced. I felt the service from our waitress could have been better. Nice chalkboards to tell you what's on tap great selection of beer but no cider choices only one some AC doughnut one that was not good. Food was good, not amazing but passable, skimpy on the veg. Martini apple cider concoction on the special menu was not a martini at all, not a taste of liquor, way too sweet and just undrinkable. Restaurant roulette continues in the Berkshires! Broke free of Lanesborough and Pittsfield this evening and headed North to Williamstown and tried our luck here. Great decision. Rustic interior and ample beer choices on tap. Hustling barkeeper on top of orders, drinks. Wasn't too hungry and didn't want to eat that much at 7:30pm. Opted for the meatballs appetizer and that was a 'just right' decision. 3 meatballs about the size of tennis balls with ample marinara sauce and topped with Ricotta cheese. My family and I came here for dinner after going to the MassMOCA museum. I highly recommend this place. The only reason for taking one star off was that we got conflicting information regarding making a reservation. I called ahead since we had a large party of 7 people. I asked if we needed to make reservations and the woman on the phone said they didn't take reservations but that if we came over immediately they could seat us with no wait. We headed over immediately but when we got there we were told we needed reservations, a direct contradiction of the info I had just gotten on the phone. The staff was reasonably apologetic and after conversing and a few minutes wait they were able to seat us at the outside table. It was an unique space - a small patio space themed beach style with sand on the ground. Sadly there were a lot of bugs out there and the air conditioner blew the warm air into this space. But the food was so good and at a great price. We had the appetizer sized portions of the mussels and clams which were both really big, basically entree sized. The calamari with hot pepper marinara was good too and the green bean fries were awesome. Even though we were the only outside table the waitress didn't forget us and was really attentive. Wonderful find. Some friends and i went hiking out this way and needed somewhere for lunch. A Google search led us here! I had the New England burger which was delicious. Cooked perfectly (medium-well) and still juicy. The waffle fries, which I usually don't like as whenever I have had them previously, were always greasy and never crips, were stunningly fantastic here. Crunch, perfectly cooked, not at all greasy. Our waitress was knowledgeable and kind, if a bit slow, but nothing too bad at all. Their menu options are very good, and you can check it out online. I love the ambiance and decor. Great little spot with sports, craft beer, and good food. We were road tripping through New England, and came upon Water Street Grill. Based on the other yelp reviews, we decided to pull in and give it a shot. It was everything you'd expect from a small New England pub and grill, plus some. As far as parking, they have a small lot that is free, so parking was not an issue. When we walked in, we were seated near the bar, so the bartender was our server. This worked out very well for keeping our drinks topped off. There were a few others seated around the bar, as well as some locals at a few of the tables throughout the establishment. Everyone was friendly ans enjoying themselves. The bartender was easy to talk to, and helpful with the different selections. As far as food goes, everything we had on the menu was cooked correctly, and tasted great. We had a few different items, and were happy with all of it. Again, the service was fast and efficient, so that was nice to see. They have a chalk board beer menu along with wall, so I am guessing the taps rotate pretty regularly. They had a bunch of different local stuff that I had not seen before, so it was nice to be able to try a few beers I cannot find back home. The prices were what you would expect - $10-20 per person for lunch. We got more food than we were able to eat, and left fat, dumb, and happy. The decor is very New England inside. Lots of different signage and random deco on the walls. All in all, a wonderful experience while passing through, and I would have no qualms about stopping back if I were in the area again. Decided to stop in for a late lunch after shooting some pictures of the autumn landscape. I had the half sandwich and salad, I opted for the tomato and mozzarella with a balsamic glaze and a side salad. Both were delicious, I would highly recommend this little café. They have an extensive craft beer menu, and I really like their food menu as well. It's thoughtful and there's a little something for everybody. Super interesting menu, with incredible food! I got the steak tip alfredo, and is something I'm going to have to try and replicate, but wont be able to find anywhere else! It was delicious, however, there was not a lot of steak in the pasta compared to the price I paid for the dish, and they mixed fresh and sundried tomatoes in the pasta, which I thought was unnecessary. Food price / quality rating 9. Atmosphere is Country Pub/tavern. This place is a prime example of "don't judge a book by its cover". The exterior is very unassuming, but the inside is very nice. Well rounded menu that includes a few nice surprises. Decent draught beer selection. Prices are quite reasonable. I had the California Chicken and Avocado sandwich on a ciabatta roll that came with waffle fries, and the wife had the Asian Chicken salad. Both were excellent. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, and the service was very good. We will certainly come back. read more
