Just okay. Steak was grey looking and lacked flavor. Was expecting the home fries to be homemade but tasted frozen. Only thing really going for them was the French toast that looked and tasted home-made. Service and waitress were nice, but personally wouldn't go back. Also to mention it's a CASH ONLY place. Poor Service. During our last visit we watched tables that came in and ordered after us get served before us. A full hour went by between getting our coffee and getting our meal. Our waitress apologized after about a half hour. She said she put the orders in but had no control over the order the tickets were taken in the kitchen. The order of the day should be customer service not excuses. For better service find your way to Moonlight Diner in Williamstown or M&J's in Adams. You'll be much happier at either of those businesses. read more

Nice little place for breakfast or lunch. Sunday is apparently a busy day but we hey accommodated us quickly. I had the chicken fried steak which was tender and tasty and they filled my coffee without me having to ask! So yes, a good experience and a good meal. read more

Cash only!! On our first attempt to dine in, we had to leave to get cash. Luckily, there was a bank around the corner. I'm glad we decided to head back because the food was delicious!! They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating looked nice and sunny but really busy so we opted to sit inside. The indoor seating space was small but we were the only ones inside for a while so we didn't mind. The staff is great! They're very courteous and have great personalities. The coffee was nice and smooth, which is particularly important for my fiancé since he's picky when it comes to coffee. He may have had 3 cups? 4? Who's keeping track anyways. The food was the star for me. Everything tasted wholesome and fresh. I got the country hash, which can be greasy but this was not at all. It was hearty, delicious and not overly salty at all. I didn't feel guilty eating my breakfast. My fiancé got the biscuits with gravy and they look amazing. I'd definitely recommend this spot for breakfast. I'm glad we stopped in. Please do not go here. I hate to be negative but it was a terrible experience. Prices aren't bad but they up charge u a few dollars for every little thing. A bit deceiving but whatever. Here's the part that makes me sad for paying customers. We overheard the servers discussing how they were out of regular coffeeand they then proceeded to serve decaf as regular to myself and other tables, not disclosing that it was decaf in black pots. Sadly enough one member of my party got the eggs benedict and suffered severe food poisoning and had to seek a doctor. We are guessing the hollandaise sauce did it but are sure this place is the cause. Tried to call them all day and no answer. Looks like their phone may be down. Anyways, don't go here. This small diner feels a little tight post pandemic, but it is worth it! On beautiful day, grab one of the picnic tables out front and spread out. Went to this cute little diner after reading the Yelp reviews. It is located between North Adams and Williamstown. When we got there, we saw mostly locals, regulars enjoying their breakfast. I got a Veggie Omelette (Made with Egg Beaters) and my BF got a Bacon/Cheese/Egg sandwich. Both were good...the sandwich was crispy and tasty. My omelette was just OK. Not overly flavorful, but definitely very very oily. I'd think if someone asks for an Egg Beater Omelette, they would cook it with Pam or another healthy option, not with lots of oil. Saw the great reviews and came in for breakfast. Do have nice outdoor seating. The reason for the lower reviews and the rest of the ratings I believe is because we personally thought the food was very very very greasy. The bread was dripping butter and also we had healthy egg white omelettes but they were somehow still super buttery. I'm talking about glistening butter.. For the price the food isn't bad just very unhealthy. Also they are very very busy so service is pretty slow. read more

The home fries are terrible. They're just bland fried potatoes squares. Cook these things on the grill! Add onions! And butter! Maybe even peppers! Or garlic! After ordering our food, the owner (Renee) came in to the restaurant and sat down with two patrons. She then proceeded to talk for the next hour with these two people at an incredibly loud volume. There were not many people in the restaurant, so perhaps she thought that it was okay to be so loud. We did not appreciate it. When I am paying $30 for breakfast, I expect to be able to hear my friend sitting across from me. We will not be going back any time soon. read more

After staying in North Adams overnight on a celebratory post-vaccination visit my family visited Renee's diner for breakfast. I read online that there was outdoor seating and when we arrived there were two available tables out front. We arrived just before the brunch rush at ten thirty on a Sunday morning. We noticed a sign that said cash only and we're about to leave to head to an ATM but a waitress stopped us and said why don't you sit down place your order and one of you can go grab the cash while you wait for the food. We took her up on the offer. Between the four of us we ordered Belgian waffles, a veggie and cheese omelette, and a breakfast burrito. We also ordered tea and juices. Everyone is happy with her food. The total for the four of us was just under $50 not including tip. The weather was beautiful and our waitress had a sunny personality to match. Stopped for breakfast when we were in the area overnight. I loved the veggie skillet with feta and hubby enjoyed the hash plate. The homemade hash was very hearty. Coffee was good, customer service was quick and friendly. It was great to see a small business keeping their head above water in these challenging times when so many have had to close. read more
