He said we were not allowed to ride out the storm and continue to play and that the course was closed. We had to end our golf round and when we got back to the club house the rain stopped. Only 4 holes in and the only day we could play this week since we are visiting. Pretty disappointing.

And he was fairly rude about it. As for the course, the fairways and greens are decent, but the tees and rough and dead. Bunkers look like they haven't been raked in days. Layout is good. Just ridiculous that they institute a "no walking" policy even though I have walked this course multiple times in the past.

Each hold had unique character, there was a nice balance of risk/reward on each hole, and the course was in nice shape for the lack of rain. The range was very large and was in great shape. The staff was very helpful and we saw a marshall every so often even though the pace of play was reasonable for a private club. Check out my photo of the 18th hole which was super fun to play. I wish I could have emptied a bag of balls for my second shot to this par 5 until I hit the green, but Tin Cup was not playing on this day. Didn't ask the membership costs since I already belong to a club, but this one is nice for the golf enthusiast.

Bashing into each other? Standard procedure. Plowing friends into the barriers? A rite of passage. Spinning the slowpokes like they were caught in a tornado? Oh, you bet. Chaos? Yes, oh yes - it was glorious chaos, plus this kind of mayhem wasn't just tolerated, it was practically the norm back then. Yes sir, those were indeed the good old days! Presently, they have some sort of remote device they can (and do) use to throttle the kart down to a standstill if anyone gets crazy. No more playing demolition derby, no more t-boning or ramming each other, and in a nutshell, no more shenanigans on this track. No sir indeed, those good old days are gone! Be that as it may, it's still only $8.00 a race with no helmets required! Therefore, this track still stands as THE BEST Go-Kart Track of ALL-TIME in my opinion. ALL-TIME!
