As he had a 70g fresh water & 30g saltwater (5 ) he would spend every penny he had & beg us to take him weekly He recently took his 3yr clown fish in hopes to sell it back - as he has done with a few of his other previously purchased fish from BF. The young person offered him $5 he bought the fish for $8 and it's tripled in size.. hands down bigger than any clown fish in the store (1 ) He told them that was insulting - as would I & asked to speak to the mgr - the kid said, I am & all I'm giving you is $5 (1 ) Needless to say, Nemo was happily donated to our family chiropractor. It isn't about money, it's about principle & doing what's right. Shame on you, kid behind the counter Monday afternoon 3/14/22 at BFA. We'll gladly spend our money elsewhere

I brought in a sample of my water(had aquariums for over 20 yrs.) and the water tested out fine, a little high in salt as I have a softner for my well water. There are 8 Zebra Danios in the tank as well, they have been in the tank for a few months. NO REPLACEMENT FISH WERE OFFERED!! THEY SELL SICK FISH!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!

There was a large dead fish in at least one tank. I had planned to buy several more fish, but we got out of there as fast as we could. I would like to support this local pet shop. When we came in we were greeted by a worker and asked if we needed assistance. Asked about prices on mealworms. Sheet is on the table. Asked about spiders, took us straight to the spiders! Sadly - I think the business would be better off with hiring more employees or cutting down on animals to keep up with housekeeping. It's understandable being short staff nowadays but the poor animals don't deserve to be in dirty tanks or crammed spaces. Many meals, accessories and supplies to choose from for your pet. We spent a good thirty minutes in the store. It is a decently sized store - when you think you hit the end you hit another corner. Kid-friendly. We had a friendly older gentleman who informed us of the sea hare slugs that surrounded the tree that was growing in a water tank. It was pretty cool!

The fish section is particularly impressive with some of the best and widest range available. It's always fun to just stop in and look around even if you aren't looking for anything specific!

I'm in complete shock. My husband called this store earlier this morning asking about buying a 125…read moregallon tank and wanting a price quote to have someone come clean our home tank on a regular basis. On the phone the owner told him he, his son, and his wife all clean tanks and "they could get us a good deal on a tank to buy." Then he ended the call because "He was too busy working" so my husband just asked if we could come by the store in person and the owner said that would be fine. We had a pleasant 10 min conversation with the owner's wife who asked us several questions about the tank we wanted to have cleaned but she was unable to give us any price quotes so she went to the back to get her husband. He comes out of the store and starts off with "so you want a job cleaning tanks" to my husband and went on for another full 2 minutes that "he would have to be a loyal paying customer and making him a lot of money before he could work for him." He continued on about what "opportunities he may have for work" for my husband and my husband finally said "hold on, let's end this conversation" because he wasn't there looking for a job and even if he were, he wouldn't work for a business owner who has this kind of attitude. Didn't the owner remember us from the phone call that morning?? Anyway, that flipped some sort of freakish switch and the owner lost himself, saying "get the f*ck out of his store" and "we wasted his f*cking time" and "what kind of man comes into someone's house acting like that" (the store is attached to his private home but it is clearly a business and has a private parking lot). He then GRABBED A SCREWDRIVER and started going after my husband with it, coming within 3 feet of him as we were frantically trying to get out the door. He belligerently yelled the whole time that he "was going to call [my husband's] boss to get him fired and make sure he never works in this town" and he was getting his camera to take pictures of my license plates, and at that point I was in the car and couldn't hear the rest of his crazy threats. This man is completely psychotic and unstable. We were literally trying to give him business. I would NEVER come back and had to put this online so hopefully someone else sees it and doesn't go either, especially if you're a female or were planning to take your children!

NEVER GO HERE! I have been a customer for 7 months since I moved to the area. Recently the owner…read morehas been having his young (maybe 10/11 yr old) son come out to help me with fish food. The owner has been nothing but rude toward me and yesterday I stopped in during business hours but his son the child was taking forever. 10 minutes after close he comes out yelling about "why are you still here?" And complaining that now he can't buy his lottery. When I explained I was waiting on his son to bag up my food he yells "F*ck You" and shoved me to the door, continues to yell and carry on and slammed the door in my face! He then texted me and told me I was inconsiderate for showing up 5 min before close (the transaction should've taken less than that time). He's been rude before but this was over the top ridiculous!! He has literally no stock of fish like he use to, once again he was out of the food I came for, even though I called ahead to verify he had it in stock (not the first time) the tanks are disgusting and the fish look sick and underfed. I would NEVER refer anyone here nor recommend them. Clearly the owner has some issues. He's a psycho!
