When we first entered, we were a bit disappointed as it was a small patch of garden that was quite crowded with people taking photos (family photos, graduation photos, the works...), but once we turned the corner to the massive field of flowers, it took my breath away. This place was fantastic to view tulips and experience the magic of being amongst a field of flowers, and we were so excited to have the opportunity to order bulbs to plant in our own garden from the varietals we saw in the gardens. Note: restroom facilities and food options are quite limited during peak season, so plan accordingly!

I got flats of so many things, but also my favorite purchase was an indoor succulent garden for $8.99 (that had at least 6 different succulents curated together beautifully.) The best part? Free beer. I had Tangerine Space Machine while shopping. It's fun to check out the garden art, waterfalls, dragons, and dinosaurs. There is also a place to get lunch that has Italian sausages and delicious fries starting at $10. This place is HUGE so you may need a nosh at the independent food truck as you leave. Enjoy! Don't spend your whole pay check... it's easy to add stuff and be surprised at check out, especially after free beer. lol.

They used to have a lot of help out in the store, most looked like college students and were always really nice and happy to help. Today I had to walk all over trying to find help. Finally found someone, asked her a question and she didn't even stop to speak to me, just walked past saying, "HE works in this department" and was gone. I looked around, and 2 aisles over there appeared to be the "HE" she mentioned, a younger guy watering plants. i walked over there and he didn't even stop watering or look at me, so I said, "Excuse me, do you have organic vegetable plants?" He turned to look at me seemed annoyed I disturbed his plant watering, and said, "No." Then turned away. The store doesn't seem to carry anywhere near the amount of plants they have in previous years, not the selection I expected there at all. Very disappointing. They don't give you plastic sheets to protect your car anymore, which seems like a cheapskate move on their part, and just another drop in customer service like having so few employees on hand to help customers. In past years I've gone back several times and left with my Jeep loaded with plants. I won't bother with a second trip this year and probably won't bother going at all next year or in future years. Shopping at Countryside used to be simething fun I really looked firward to. Looks like those days are over.

You will not be able to go out the same way you came in, so pay attention to the map you get when you enter. We purchased 15 Yew bushes, and paid around $250. These are about as close to wholesale prices as you will ever get during their Memorial Day sale. I was impressed by how organized the yard was, and by the sheer variety of landscaping items. The staff is friendly and patient and super busy, so bring a little extra patience with you when you come- it's worth it!
