I have a relative and know of others living here. First the food quality is mediocre at best. It fluctuates as they tend to cycle thru chefs. Secondly, don't ask them to go out of their way on anything, especially the entitlement Becky in charge of the transportation. They are supposed to provide transportation to doctor's appointments and the like, but often times leave elderly people, sometimes on portable oxygen, waiting for 30 -45 minutes or longer. If they need a wheelchair or some other reasonable accommodation, don't expect it without a fight. Customer service is not their specialty, but attitude that you owe them is. Then at the end of the year instead of the company paying their employees a Christmas bonus, they squeeze the residents for it. We're not talking $100 - $250. They "suggest" $2 -$3 a day. That's $730 - $1,095 per unit, they have 190 units, so they can rake in over $200,000 extra that they don't tell you about when you move in. They just say "oh there's no tipping!" I guess until the end of the year. If you're loved ones use oxygen, just also be aware they do NOT have any back up generators, so the next time there is a hurricane, (and one will surely come, and when it's mercilessly hot too), they will be left sweltering in the dangerous heat with no AC. The ground floor also flooded during Harvey, which knocked out most of their amenities for quite some time. Don't be fooled by the grand lobby, the service here does not live up to what you might expect at first blush.

I immediately hit the call button. After 10 minutes nobody came so I called 911. The nurse and someone came after seeing EMS headed towards my room. They quickly came in to my room saying they were trying to help me and I didn't need EMS. EMS told them to get out of their way and they were taking me to the hospital My husband later got a phone call and voicemail from someone named Mary asking that he call her back. Most 99% of the staff is great. People like Elizabeth, Linda, Ivory, Laurie,nurses Robert, Lillisette, Sarah, Mrs T & Tran, PT Director, Nicole, Emily, Melanie, Yvonne & Rhoda in PT

My mom fell twice in less than a week under the care of Charlene at His Grace Senior Living...The…read morelast fall landed her in ICU with a fractured face and brain bleed...I'm appalled at how she claims Christian values while taking absolutely NO accountability in what happened to my mom...She has a video stating that if your love one has experienced falling then it's time to bring them to His Grace...I beg to differ because my mom fell twice...just saying..if you have NO care at all regarding your love one's well being then this is your place..I wouldn't trust her to care for my dog..plus be aware..some of her positive reviews are written by her one and only staff..I as well would give her a zero rating...

My MIL lived there for about a month, the communication was horrible and her treatment wasn't much…read morebetter. My MIL got a UTI which made her very anxious, paranoid and angry. We could no longer care for her at home and decided to find a memory care facility for her safety. Auberge seemed great and looks nice, but they didn't know how to handle her and ended up sending her to the psych ward later that month (October). They didn't explain why and we have yet to receive a call to this day. My MIL spent 3 weeks adjusting to new medication and was back to her loving, sweet self! When it came to her release from the psych ward, Auberge had to re-access her before coming back. They were given about 4-5 days notice from the social worker. Auberge was VERY hesitant and waited until the last day to schedule it. Most of this was communicated through text with Auberge (apparently they didn't have time for a phone call) and the social worker. At that point we had to find my MIL a new home just in case Auberge didn't approve her coming back in and frankly, we didn't want her going back to a place that doesn't communicate or show any care or excitement to have her back. The only positive feedback I can give is the nurse's in her "neighborhood" were nice and did communicate with us when we visited. Other staff didn't really say much to us, they did when we toured, but not after that. I think it's cruel how dismissive they were of my MIL because she was more difficult than others. They can't handle the tough side of Alzheimers. There are plenty of memory care facilities in this area, don't send your loved one to this one!
