Awesome waterfront spot with delicious food. Their chicken kabob plate is a favorite. The rice and salad are good complements to the fresh chicken and the grilled tomato is a nice addition. Had lunch today at Waterfront Pizza located at an open air strip shopping center in Foster City. A friend and I had seen its favorable review on Check Please. We submitted our order to the owner/cashier around 2 o'clock. The restaurant has a pleasant outside area next to a calming Bay tributary so we chose to sit under one of the umbrella tables next to the water. As we placed our order upon arrival (2 o'clock) with the cashier/owner, we were told that the dessert, Kunafa, would take some time to prepare. Since this was a favorably reviewed dessert shown on Check Please, we were excited to try it. Once we sat down, the dolma appetizers and shawarmas arrived but our lemonade and ice tea were missing. We had nothing to drink with our appetizer and main course after waiting for twenty minutes so we asked the cashier to send out our beverages. They finally arrivred although we had finished our lunch except for the dessert. Although the restaurant was not busy since it was around 2:45, we noticed that the all male wait staff were sitting outside next to us. None of them seemed motivated to clear out plates or to bring the dessert. Finally, after waiting another ten minutes (3 o'clock), we went to the cashier and asked him to prepare our dessert for takeout. He did so and we took the dessert upon leaving. Observation: the all male wait staff had no one, including the restaurant's owner, coordinating their work as they sat at a nearby table shooting the breeze. This was an epic fail of the restaurant. I only thought that the wait staff were his relatives so he was afraid to motivate them to work Didn't know this for sure but also didn't understand why the owner allowed such lack of service. I would emphasize that a lunch in Foster City costing $82, without alcohol, seems a bit over-rated given the uncoordinated service. We should have not had to resort for our dessert to turn into a takeout order. We will not return to this restaurant but hope the owner changes the restaurant's mediocre service to allow it to survive. I would like to think that it was just a bad day for restaurant but really feel like this was a standard one. If the owner continues to let the patients run the asylum, mediocrity will continue to flourish... no matter how good the food seems. Good luck and goodbye... read more

Best advice if you wanna sit outside make sure you check in if there's already a queue totally worth it beautiful view, and there is a side that you can still smoke hookah on if you choose to and no, you can't smell the hookah from the other side if you choose not to. We ordered all my favorites chicken tikka with delicious rice so yummy, a side of fries I really enjoy their fry style so good love the portion size for sharing. Was in a mood for some Mediterranean food and this place was close by . The place itself is quite large and on a Saturday lunch time was full w families and kids screaming and running around . Decided to order 2 things - the fatteh hummus which is very rare to find in this area - this was quite good and the quantity was large (enough for two people ) and the cheese fatayer which was very good and fresh (love the Arabic cheese in it ). So here for my first time, but my wife had been coming here years ago and recommended I try it. The area is located in a small mini-mall with several places to shop and dine. There are many good places to check out and recently they opened a Japanese Super Market. We went during the weekday since I am semi-retired and luckily there wasn't very many people there. So you order your food and then grab a number and choose your seating. Since it was a beautiful day, we decided to sit outside. I always loved the view of the water in Foster City, growing up in the bay, I spent time here and always liked the area. So my wife recommended trying the Pizza and have to say it was very good. I ordered the all meat and what I loved about the Pizza was the crust. I generally like my Pizza with thin crust because I don't enjoy it when it is to doughy, "if that's even a word". The crust was done very well and the topics were fresh. We also ordered the wings and a salad. The wings and salad were also very good. I loved the way they made the chicken, nicely breaded and not greasy. I also would recommend the strawberry lemonade and lemonade with mint. Both were a perfect choice for our beverage. I read one of the reviews that said the service wasn't that great. My experience was different, the workers were quite pleasant and was very attentive. Our server was young man who was very polite. Overall for my first experience, it was great. As mentioned, my wife had been here before and highly recommended I try this place and so glad we did. Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty experience. Parking was plentiful in the mostly deserted strip mall. Ordering and payment were done at the counter with the staff and staff brought out food to the table. There was also a bar area next to the cashier to pick up drinks. Started off with the salad where the vinaigrette was overpowering... Moved on to the kafta plate and it was gigantic. There was a small bed of seasoned rice topped with 3 super juicy and flavorful kaftas. The salad that came with the entree was tasty, although the tomato on the side wasn't fully ripe yet... The dining room was heated by the cashier area. The secondary dining room was quite cool with the door open and the evening breeze coming into the restaurant. Salad was crunchy but seasoning was poor. Parking was plenty. Service was relatively quick. If you come in the winter, make sure you can sit outside if there is sun because if there is no sun better to sit inside. They have lovely bubbly. My partner and I walked in here on a Sunday perhaps 1:30 ish. It was an afterthought. The restaurant we wanted to go to had run out of food. For the extremely hungry us, perhaps the worst decision we made. You get to pick among 1. a very rude person behind the order counter (maybe he was hungry, angry and tired all at once after the Sunday lunch hour), 2. almost half the indoor seating closed , 3. seating by the lagoon welcoming pigeons and cranes that literally land on your food. Or 4. the gross trolly of plastic tubs that the boys rolled in right next to you to clean up the neighboring table. I pick #1. I will not a mistake again. How was the food ? Loved this place. Order at the counter and then find a table inside or outside. There is plenty of seating in the back. We enjoyed our dinner with a view of the water watching boats go by. The menu has plenty of options. The hardest part was deciding between pizza or Mediterranean items. Fortunately they have pizzas that combine pizza with Mediterranean food. Such a wonderful ambiance! Came out here with my family over the weekend and we all thoroughly enjoyed both the food, and the literally water-front atmosphere. Ordered the combination plate ($26) and the fatteh hummus ($18). As you can see here the prices are slightly out of touch but not bad on occasion. The portions are also huge, I could have split my plate with another person easily. The kufta kabob was delicious but the chicken tasted like it was marinated with a bad lemon. Nonetheless it wasn't inedible. The fatteh hummus, despite being so expensive, is always a fan favorite. Service was also incredibly quick. Around 2 pm, no crowds, no one guests inside and a few outside on the deck. I looked around for an attendant; in the back room I saw two folks talking and I said hello; they didnot hear me. Alas, a lone guy working on his computer said he would get someone. I ordered the shawerma lavash with beef. After a good ten minutes outside, it arrived with a free dish of Faoul and eight pieces of tender pita bread and the shawerma. The pita bread came with a delicious bean spread with a piquant spice; it was very good. The shawerma was nice looking and after a bite I knew it was low rent: it was mostly tahini sauce and the meat was over powered. Every bite tasted like tahini sauce. I could only eat a third of it. I did not want to finish it. I took it back to work and ended up throwing it away. $16 bucks. Not sure what's going on here. read more

Tried multiple dishes on several occasions. The portions are large and tasty. They're pizza is delicious. And they're really good about making substitutions. After multiple visits the only think I would avoid is the kunafa: it's the worst one I've ever had by a long shot. It's a crazy orange color, floppy, and bland. Not worth the calories. And the restaurant has a nice view of the water. You can enjoy hookah outside. Not fancy inside like a cafeteria setting.
