So for a Friday evening I call for a reservation, name taken and number of people 2. So we get there on time, entered, told to take any place you wanted. I even said we had reservations. I got a shrug. ‍. Sat down next to entrance, place was 70 -80% full. They even have an overflow room in the back. I ordered the special whole Lamb shank with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Demi glaze sauce. The wife had her usual linguine with seafood clamshells and prawns in a white wine sauce. The fresh bread was delicious and the olive, garlic, oils and vinegar dip was also good. If you're in the area and craving a solid Italian place, it is worth giving it a try. Does not have a view of the water. The food was surprisingly good for being in a strip mall - not wow, but very good. I was told it might be good for a first date but I think it's good for later dates, not the first one, because it's in a strip mall. Service was alright. Location: This is tucked away in a small strip mall. Remember it is right near the water but you cannot see the water and it does not have a view of the water. If you are a little too full after the meal, you can walk across the street and walk along the water to get a view of the San Mateo bridge. It's a small space and it looks like mostly locals go there. Appetizers: For appetizers, we had the calamari and bruschetta al pomodoro. The calamari had fried onions in it. The calamari was not quite served hot and was lackluster. It was not overly battered which was nice though. It would have been much better if it had come out hot. The portion of bruschetta came with four pieces. The tomatoes were nicely seasoned. I liked this appetizer the most. For the mains, two friends had the special of the day which was a seared seabass with rice. Someone else had the salmon dish. They enjoyed the dishes as well. I had the fettucini alla portofino which is fettucini in a creamy garlic sauce, white wine, shrimp, and scallops. After being seated, we were served some nice warm bread before ordering the Bellini Meatballs, Calamari Fritti, and Fettuccine Alla Portofino. First off our appetizers arrived. Both were good but not amazing. They hit all the notes they needed to but definitely didn't wow us. The meatballs were flavorful, and the calamari was crispy. The fettuccine was also good, but I do wish the pasta was cooked a little bit less. The flavor was nice on the sauce though, and the server went ahead and split it into two dishes for us. Foodwise, I think I would give this a solid rating, but what really excelled was the service. We were taken care of and the server checked in a good amount. This place is popular neighborhood restaurant. Folks that dine-in seemed to have some familiarity with the staff. I have been here a few times and have had a good experience. I figured this casual yet homey atmosphere spot would be a good place to catch up with a friend. When my friend arrived a few minutes earlier than us, she seemed to have received a bit of an icy reception. But once we got seated, things warmed up a bit. I enjoyed the bread dipping as always. It had a subtle punch of flavor. The spaghetti con Vongole was fresh and very flavorful. The Salmon entree was good and generously portioned. And the Chicken Marsala (though looked gloopy was tender and savory. We closed our meal with the homemade decadent tiramisu and a highly-densed chocolate mousse. We arrived just as they were closing for lunch but served us anyway without any pressure on us to order quickly. The food was delicious. We ordered for take away and got one order of Penne Al Pesto added Chicken and an order of Garlic Bread. Now for the one entree and appetizer it was just over $40 + tip. I thought this was kind expensive when I ordered and when I paid. When I got home and served it up, there is definitely enough for a meal for two (for us anyways) and the flavors were absolutely spot on and delicious! I was not disappointed in any way! Went for the first time the other day and their homemade bread with the garlic sauce was amazing! Definitely makes the restaurant stand out from others. The calamari was good but pricey and they added fillers so it made it less worth it. We also ordered 2 different salads which were also good but not very large portions. I ordered the eggplant parm which was good but the sauce could've been more flavorful. Everyone else ordered pastas which were very good. January 2026, my family -- myself, Junior, and Mom -- stopped into Bellini's Bistro for a late dinner around 8:30 PM. One of those relaxed, end-of-the-day meals where you're not rushing... just hungry and hopeful. I noticed a new item on the menu that had only been there about a month -- Pasta Pomodoro. I've always loved that dish, so I had to try it. Fast forward to about a week ago: we used a gift certificate and went to Il Fornaio in Burlingame, only to discover that my longtime favorite, Pasta Pomodoro, was no longer on the menu. Disappointing... until I remembered Bellini's. I'm happy -- no, thrilled -- to report that the Pasta Pomodoro at Bellini's was actually better. Fresh, balanced, bright, and perfectly executed. Simple Italian food done right is hard to beat, and Bellini's nailed it. Great little Italian spot in the corner of the strip mall if you're in the mood for pasta. It might look small but they have an entire dining room in the back. To start, the bread and the dip is amazing. The bread is soft and the oil and vinegar has garlic in it, I think. I'm not sure because we ate it so fast. I got the special of the day, which was a fish. It was just what I wanted, a light dish with vegetables and rice on the side. My friends ordered pasta dishes and they both asked for extra spicy, which turned out really well. We could definitely taste the spice. We also ordered some desserts and they did not disappoint! My first time in Bellini and the food was amazing. Fresh homemade bread so perfect with their delicious prosciutto and mortadella! Pasta was aldente and my Aunt loved her Risotto. Tiramisu was so good it's not super sweet and goes well with my Pinot Noir. Our server Ercon was so nice and accommodating we didn't have to wait long for our food. I came here to meet with my team for business. We were greeted with complimentary bread that tasted sweet, and was the perfect amount of weight. The bruschetta or whatever the bread is called was a little bit too crunchy for me, but the proportions of tomato, cheese were perfect. The Calamari was a little soft for me, I wish that it was a little crunchy and a little more juicy inside, but the sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and spice. The special was excellent. First of all, the portions were huge, which is what is expected at an Italian restaurant. The ravioli was filled with Elk and Pork, not sure what the elk tasted like but the pork was a bit dry but it was complemented well with a pesto marinara sauce! What a fantastic restaurant!!! The host Memo was super welcoming and attentive to every detail. We had a large party (8) for dinner for my birthday and everyone agreed their dish was wonderful. Not only was everything so tasty, the food was all beautifully presented. We were all scratching our heads why the roasted vegetables had such a pleasant roasted taste that was a perfection our grilling could never come close to. Omgosh! This was the first time we've been to this restaurant and we only have great things to say about it. The owner, Memo, gave us a very warm welcome, was extremely friendly, and was our waiter as well. We ordered a dinner salad, crab cakes, and garlic bread, and everything tasted fresh and was presented extremely well. Two of us had their one special, sea bass, that was the best we've ever tasted. The sauce and veggies served with it were delicious too! Another person had their other special, lamb shank, that was also out of this world. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the veggies were cooked to perfection. The fourth person ordered the Alfredo and was extremely pleased with it. The servings were large, the cost was very reasonable, and the ambience was fabulous. It was also very clean and well kept up. Parking is plentiful in the private strip mall lot as well as on the street. Both indoor and outdoor dining were available. The restaurant is more of a neighborhood joint. Started off with the complimentary bread basket and it was edible. it came with a side of olive oil. Moved on to teh insalata caprese and it was also decent. The tomatoes were okay and the slices of mozzarella were also okay. I've had fresher and riper tomatoes at other Italian restaurants. The veal marsala was decent. The veal was tender and the sauce was tasty although I was very thirsty throughout the evening... The side of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables were a perfect complement to this entree. We have always loved their food, we haven't ordered from Bellini in a little while. We were looking forward to dinner, ordered items we have had countless times. The chicken (all three dishes had chicken- 2 were pasta) was of very poor quality, it was hard to cut & very chewy (almost like it had gristle). The Alfredo was more like butter pasta (no flavor) with almost no sauce to speak of. The chicken Marsala was Cold, a teeny tiny scoop of potatos and the worst piece of chicken out of all tree dishes. With how high prices are for eating out we wasted a huge amount of money on food that was virtually inedible. Suffice to say we were extremely disappointed with tonight's meal and will have to think hard about whether or not we will be continuing to frequent this restaurant. read more

Busy bistro with wonderful staff. Friendly and gracious. My sister and I enjoyed a large shared Caesar salad which was divided and plated separately. We enjoyed the fresh soft bread and olive oil and basalmic vinegar and garlic dip. We ordered the skirt steak and chicken parmigiana. I think the skirt steak was different in that the edges of the steak were crispy and delicious. Interesting presentation. We didn't order a pasta as a shareable primi but saw others order the gnocchi which seemed to be a larger pasta dish and more popular.
