    Chicken Marsala

This place is popular neighborhood restaurant. Folks that dine-in seemed to have some familiarity with the staff. I have been here a few times and have had a good experience. I figured this casual yet homey atmosphere spot would be a good place to catch up with a friend. When my friend arrived a few minutes earlier than us, she seemed to have received a bit of an icy reception. But once we got seated, things warmed up a bit. I enjoyed the bread dipping as always. It had a subtle punch of flavor. The spaghetti con Vongole was fresh and very flavorful. The Salmon entree was good and generously portioned. And the Chicken Marsala (though looked gloopy was tender and savory. We closed our meal with the homemade decadent tiramisu and a highly-densed chocolate mousse. Both were very good but the vote went to the tiramisu.

First time eating here today and was extremely satisfied. The restaurant is small and quaint. We arrived just as they were closing for lunch but served us anyway without any pressure on us to order quickly. The food was delicious. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, Spaghetti Alla Bolognese and some delicious garlic bread. They were reasonably priced and the portion was plentiful. We couldn't order any dessert because we were full. Would definitely go there again to try other entrees and the Gelato. If you want some authentic Italian food, give them a try... you won't be disappointed.

We recently gave Bellini Bistro a try one night when I really felt like pasta and did not want to cook. We ordered for take away and got one order of Penne Al Pesto added Chicken and an order of Garlic Bread. Now for the one entree and appetizer it was just over $40 + tip. I thought this was kind expensive when I ordered and when I paid. When I got home and served it up, there is definitely enough for a meal for two (for us anyways) and the flavors were absolutely spot on and delicious! I was not disappointed in any way! I'll be back!

I wish I could do a 3.5. Everything was fine. The owner waited on us & was very pleasant. Service was great! We had the complimentary bread & garlic oil. I liked it but friends thought the bread just ok. I had mushroom ravioli & it was tasty. Hubby enjoyed his fettuccine portofino . Friends had chicken Parmesan and it was fine. Other friend had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken & he liked it. Other guy had the special--wild boar ravioli & loved it. The restaurant is nice, with some outdoor dining available. It's a nice place.

I came back and it was just as good as the first time. The bread was warm and soft and you could smell it was freshly baked. The fried calamari was delicious and the antipasto platter was good. The carbonara was cooked perfectly and portions were large. I also enjoyed the raspberry sorbet for dessert. Definitely love the service and staff here!

It's been a long time since I've been so impressed with an Italian buffet ! We stared with a huge spread of anti pasta dishes - the rolled eggplant was amazing - the caprese salad was so fresh and amazing -pesto on toast was also a hit - the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto was amazing everything we had was excellent! The pasta course another hit - they make their own spinach ravioli and you can tell - I'm not usually a fan of ravioli but I had 3 beautiful plump raviolis - the marinara sauce yummy! Gnocchi my favorite- soft tender pillows with a beautiful cream sauce excellent! At this point I was FULL yet we still had the entree course - had a very small taste of the veal which would have been top on my list if I hadn't been so full - love the capers in this dish! Oh I had head about their Tiramisu! And guess what we had for dessert! Yes this is made in house too - very light yet full body flavored! Next time I'm going direct to dessert! I can't say enough positive things about the service here! These people are amazing - they were always clearing plates- offering refills of water or drinks- helping parents with children for food! If you're going to entertain a group this is the place! Yes parking can be intimidating as there is only street parking but at some point you will find a space. Great people with awesome food!

We submitted our order to the owner/cashier around 2 o'clock. The restaurant has a pleasant outside area next to a calming Bay tributary so we chose to sit under one of the umbrella tables next to the water. As we placed our order upon arrival (2 o'clock) with the cashier/owner, we were told that the dessert, Kunafa, would take some time to prepare. Since this was a favorably reviewed dessert shown on Check Please, we were excited to try it. Once we sat down, the dolma appetizers and shawarmas arrived but our lemonade and ice tea were missing. We had nothing to drink with our appetizer and main course after waiting for twenty minutes so we asked the cashier to send out our beverages. They finally arrivred although we had finished our lunch except for the dessert. Although the restaurant was not busy since it was around 2:45, we noticed that the all male wait staff were sitting outside next to us. None of them seemed motivated to clear out plates or to bring the dessert. Finally, after waiting another ten minutes (3 o'clock), we went to the cashier and asked him to prepare our dessert for takeout. He did so and we took the dessert upon leaving. Observation: the all male wait staff had no one, including the restaurant's owner, coordinating their work as they sat at a nearby table shooting the breeze. This was an epic fail of the restaurant. I only thought that the wait staff were his relatives so he was afraid to motivate them to work Didn't know this for sure but also didn't understand why the owner allowed such lack of service. I would emphasize that a lunch in Foster City costing $82, without alcohol, seems a bit over-rated given the uncoordinated service. We should have not had to resort for our dessert to turn into a takeout order. We will not return to this restaurant but hope the owner changes the restaurant's mediocre service to allow it to survive. I would like to think that it was just a bad day for restaurant but really feel like this was a standard one. If the owner continues to let the patients run the asylum, mediocrity will continue to flourish... no matter how good the food seems. Good luck and goodbye...

This cafe offers both breakfast and lunch, but also sporadic delicious items like pasta, various protein and starch plates, specials like mujadara (which is healthy, flavorful, delicious, and a textural treat), alongside their regular sandwich and salads. Some plates come with a side salad and bread which taste very fresh; I love their homemade dressing, which tastes like some type of bright and citrus-based subtle vinaigrette. Their tomato-based pastas could use thicker sauce, but I loved their creamy pesto pasta special. You can also order online so takeout is very convenient and quick.

The Foster City location is pretty new and located in Alma Point at Foster Square. We placed an online order for pick-up and arrived around 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was practically empty except for two tables of two. There are a few tables for indoor dining, pretty spacious for a pizzeria. We got four large pizzas and 40 wings. This ended up being way too much food but pizza is great for leftovers! I would rate this as a slightly better than Round Table pizzeria. I like that there are unique combinations but the quality and taste are similar to RT pizza (taste somewhat like cardboard). For the wings, we tried the lemon pepper (not bad), tandoori (really good with a bit of kick) and achari (not bad). For the pizzas, you can select thick or thin crust. We got one thick and one thin: - Meat lover's - Aloo chaat - Chicken tikka - Butter chicken The best one was the butter chicken. The rest were average. At $40 for a large pizza, I'd prefer Slice House or Toto's instead.

The restaurant was a little more than half full when we had dinner there on a Friday night and the ambiance is lively but not loud. The ceviches were bright, limey, and tart in the best way, the chicken wings were crispy and juicy, the papa rellena was especially interesting (almost like an inside-out, deep-fried baked potato) with olives and raisins that were a pleasant surprise, and the lomo saltado was as comforting and dependable as it usually is. To top it all off, they even offer Peruvian beers, which was the perfect way to wash everything down. The eggs on the Benedict were poached perfectly, which I very much appreciate. Not only were they poached perfectly, but the eggs themselves were beautiful. Very fresh with that vibrant bright marigold color. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and delectable. The breakfast burger was amazing! It comes served on Filone bread which I thought went perfect with the burger. This bread is similar to ciabatta. Crusty on the outside, with a good chew on the inside. Firm enough to handle all the contents of the burger, but soft and chewy on the inside. The meat itself, chuck and brisket, was sensational. I'm not the type of person to ever order a burger without cheese but this burger could've definitely stood alone. Melted Monterey Jack, thick slices of bacon, fresh slices of avocado, and a perfectly cooked runny egg were just added bonuses. There was something on this burger that had a slight sweetness. I don't know if it was the samurai sauce that they put on it or the bacon, but it was delicious. I love that. It came served with a light salad tossed in vinaigrette as well. Coffee was served beautifully with a nice frothy head. Service was excellent. Attentive without being overbearing. Our server, Da, was so sweet and made our experience even that much more wonderful. Can't wait to come back. My one gripe was the size of the potatoes that came served with the eggs Benedict and the burger. This is not a cheap place to eat. For two of us to have breakfast with one coffee and an iced tea is $60 before tip. Don't be so chinsy on the tater tots and French fries. 10 tater tots? Come on now. It's not caviar. It's potatoes. I don't need a mountain of them just a decent portion. I almost knocked off a star for that, but everything else, specifically the service, warrants the five stars. Thank you for a wonderful meal and for the great hospitality.
