This place was rough! Although it is directly on the water which is a positive, tables are falling apart, the bottom almost fell through my, I understand that but we're in the backseat which makes it rough multiple drinks were not available that are on the menu, and the music was rough. I spent the weekend on Buckeye Lake with friends and visited a few establishments. The first place was Waterfront and I ordered a double Tito's on the rocks and the cost was $28. After the Waterfront we headed over to the Port and a double Tito's on the rocks was $12. The last place we visited was The Island House and a double Tito's on the rocks was $8. I don't think we will ever go back to the Waterfront. read more

This place is a joke! The bartender who was basically lying on the bar said sit wherever you want so we sat at one of their filthy tables. After sitting there for 15 minutes with no one coming to our table we left. The servers that were 10 feet from us were all too busy talking to take care of us. No wonder the place was empty. read more

We waited for almost two hours for food and when it never came we left. Told the waitress to charge us for drinks only and added a tip. They charged us for all the food we never got. Experience started ok and then plummeted. We ordered the jalapeno cheese bites that had good flavor but were not cooked through (not a big deal) the girls got a pizza they enjoyed and we ordered the buffalo pizza. We literally took ONE bite and it tasted like chemicals. We told our server and she said because we "ate" the pizza there was nothing she could do. I very nicely asked her how are you supposed to eat it if you don't take a bite? She said she would talk to the owner whom was onsite. She came back and stated that the owner agreed we had eaten it. I again replied there is ONE I repeat ONE bite the entirety of the pizza remains! She shrugged her shoulders and said "ow well". Credit card fee NOT listed anywhere. That was a surprise on my bill. Mediocre food - I toasted sub, and barely toasted quesadilla. She asked me six times for my extremely weird order - Italian sub and fries - and still forgot my fries. Appetizer was brought out AFTER the food (and it was cold). Our server was absolutely clueless, and never checked in, and kept forgetting my drink. It's a great spot to enjoy the breeze and drinks (and pizza from what I read). I've dined at some of the finest restaurants around the world and at every restaurant/bar on & around this lake. I've had great times at every one of them on this lake with the exception of this one, I've have given it a dozen or so chances but I've come to the conclusion that,, THIS PLACE STINKS ! No air conditioning, Over priced, marginal food and drinks. Service has always been terrible with the exception of a couple of great bartender that where doing there best to compensate for the shortcomings of the rude/angry at the world owner, which is always present. The only thing I could imagine going back for is if you're favorite band might be there. But i will certainly choose to eat & drink at any of the other venues on the lake such as the ISLAND HOUSE , the PORT SMOKE HOUSE , the BOATYARD, PAPA BOOS, DIRTY OAR or BUCKEYE LAKE WINERY, all of which I have great rapport with, then sit out on a boat out on the water in front of the place and listen to the show if it's a band I have to see/hear, it will be plenty loud on the water. Food is substandard, even for bar food.No one in our group liked their meal. It simply had no appeal whatsoever. Highest rating is bland. I got a "steak salad" where the steak appeared to have been peeled from a burned husk. Dark brown/black with char, not a smidgeon of moisture to be found. Looked like/tasted like shoe leather. Haven't been here for a while. Woodys is now called the waterfront. Good drinks. You have a great view of the lake. This is definitely one of the hotspots on Buckeye Lake always a good crowd. Generally they always have a band just a fun lake party atmosphere. read more

This was my first time eating here, the service was great, the atmosphere was awesome, had a great live band. I ordered the philly cheese steak, a bit pricey for only coming with chips. French fries were another $2. The sandwich had an average bun, and ok steak, I wish I would have ordered the chicken option. But the server did bring it promptly and it was still hot! First time eating here. It was early in the afternoon and we were basically the only ones there other than some Budweiser Reps (who were drinking Busch Light). Food was really good other than the shrimp appetizer. It was still good, but it was 84 degrees outside and these shrimp were served at room temperature. They should really put them on a bed of ice instead of lettuce. Other than that, wings rocked, boneless wings were a bit on the small side but delicious, fries were from the freezer but cooked perfectly. Beer was nice and cold. Shots were a good pour. Woody's on Buckeye lake is fantastic! Their buffalo chicken pizza is great! The beer is cold and very reasonably priced when compared to the other lake locations. The atmosphere is clean and kid friendly, and both times we were here, live entertainment was performing on Sunday afternoons. It makes for a great family-friendly lunch or dinner. The wait staff was very polite and attentive. Best of all, they have lake access. We've been to a few other locations since moving to town. We will be regulars here! read more

I tried this place two days ago. It is now called waterfront. Server said the burgers were fantastic. So we ordered the cheeseburgers. Mine with fries, wife got onion rings. Now there were about 30 people there. It took 40 minutes to get the food. I asked if they had coke because I did not see it on menu. Server said yes we have coke When it came it was not a coke. I took it to the bar and told them it was not good. Girl said, yeah it is not really coke. I ordered burgers medium with American cheese. They came over cooked and the cheese was not American, and I do not know what it was. It is too bad because they were nice burgers on big buns, but there was no taste at all. The fries were not good. Just run of the mill frozen fries. Two burgers one with mushrooms and rings, cost us 27.73 and I did not eat half of it. Was not worth the calories. I did not send it back because what could they do. Between the slow service and the poor quality would never go back. read more

NEVER. AGAIN. Our food took 2 hours and 12 minutes to arrive, we got it and it was cold. Obnoxiously cold. Not even warm. But how long would it have taken if we asked to send it back to be warmed up? We had already missed the first hour of our fishing trip at this point. The cheese had been sitting for at least 30 minutes. Our waitress was nice, but by the time we got our refills the ice had melted. That's how little she checked up on us. I can't even stress how horrible the food was, we knew it and they knew it as well. After everything, they still charged us full price. The least the could've done was taken off the appetizers that the waitress admittedly told us she forgot. We got the appetizers with our food 2 hours and 12 minutes late. Absolutely horrible. Did nothing to make things right, then the waitress had the audacity to ask my father who paid if he needed any change, when he gave her $80 for a $68 meal (asking for a $12 tip in a roundabout way).
