Do not use for replacing batteries in watches!! All though they are mostly a shoe repair place, they said that the could do watches too. When I picked up my watch the next day it was damaged. The man working there refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the watch, although it was very obvious that a piece of the watch had been damaged. When I asked him about it, he got upset, starting yelling and stormed off to fix a pair of shoes. I was left standing there and his wife came and said that there was nothing they could do about it and that they didn't damage it. I assured them that the watch was not broken when I brought it in, but they refused to do anything about it and the man working there refused to speak about it. It is terrible customer service and now I have a watch that a piece has been broken off and he refuses to acknowledge it! Worst customer service I have ever had! read more

Wow so impressed with this place. I had $350 waterproof leather boots with very worn heels/soles, which made them not very waterproof anymore! I contemplated just buying another pair or repairing them myself as I've never had shoes repaired professionally before. The cost was $73 which I thought was very fair considering the extent of wear and the repair required. When I picked up my boots it was like there were brand new- they were even polished which was a nice touch! It was a quick job- pick up next day. The man who owns this business is very pleasant too. It's been about 2 weeks now of wearing them every day in snow and heavy rain- they are doing great (and are waterproof again)! I have never written on Yelp before but feel compelled to because of my experience with this business. Based on the earlier Yelp reviews I went to see him. I won't write out the whole saga, but I'm $50 short and was treated terribly and the service I paid for was not provided. I would strongly advise you not go to this man for shoe repair. The first time he repaired my shoe he did a good job, but the second time he handed me over less than acceptable work. When I asked him, politely to fix the problem he laughed, refused and said 'what can you do? Call the police?' Honestly one cannot make this up. The re-heel and new sole he gave cost $50 and the new heel broke after half of day wear. But he said he doesn't care because 'he did a good job and it's my fault'. So save your hard earned money and don't bother going here. read more

Excellent !! So pleased with this shoe repair !! I brought a pair of leather boots to be re-soled (MSRP $600 - so a little worried off the bat if something went wrong). Ended up fixing them, polishing and shining them to look BRAND NEW when I picked when up two days later.Only charged me $22 to do so! Incredible work. He doesn't know it, but I call this man the Shoe Wizard. I have brought him three different pairs of heels in the last 6 months and he has not only fixed them flawlessly, but he has also polished them to (as close to) perfection as they can get (I mean, scratches are scratches, man). I give him 4/5 because I've only taken heels that have been worn down to the nail, and I have no idea how he is with other shoes. He was recommended to me by a coworker, though, so there's that. If I could give this place 10-stars, I would. The man that owns this store is extremely kind and charges unbelievably low prices, especially compared to the astronomical prices shoe repair stores in the vicinity would ask for. I've been there a few times now and each time the turnaround on the shoes have been well shorter than expectations. One time I came back to the shop quite a bit past closing in hopes that the store was still open so I could pick up my shoes after work like I had previously told the man earlier that day I would. The man was still there, and you could tell he was holding the shop open for me. What a stand up guy. I would and have recommended this shore repair store to many colleagues and friends. Daniël the owner of the store is such a gentleman. Not only did he repair my shoes at an incredibly reasonable price, he also for free, polished, cleaned off random glue from the previous shop that almost destroyed the shoes, as well as fixed my shoe lace that was coming apart. And when I tried to just carry the shoes, still gave me a bag for convenience. He's likely the best shoe repair person I've ever came upon in Vancouver. I've taken about a dozen pairs of shoes/boots here - mostly for re-heeling or slight stretching - and I have to say, I've always had very pleasant, fast and value-for-money service. Often you can get your heels renewed while you wait and at no extra charge, which is a rare thing these days, or else within 1-2 days. Ladies' heels are reasonably priced (especially for Downtown) at $11 for shoes and about $12 to $15 for boots. I've been quite happy with Leslie's on West Broadway too but pick-up averages 4-7 days later, which isn't always convenient. read more

If you have those high end red soled heels (yelp doesnt seem to like it when you write the brand name) and want to get sole protectors, this place has red sole protectors! This guy charge you the same price as the normal black ones whereas other places chage you extra. I get my high end designer heels repaired here and I am very happy with results every time. Oh and yes, as I said in my previous review, he is really good  - I wouldn't have left my babies with him if I had any doubt in his skills. read more

I needed to fix some ankle boots that were worn down on the heel. I first went to the shoe repair place in Pacific Centre and they said it would cost $30 to fix... I thought this was pretty steep considering the state of the shoes was not that bad and they only cost $60 to begin with. I'm glad the next place I went to was Waterfront Shoe Repair because the man there said it would only be $15 to fix. It was a little embarrassing when I handed the shoes over because there was gum stuck to the bottom of one shoe... but he didn't seem to mind. I was very pleased with the work he did and he even cleaned up my shoes (no more gum)! I gave him another pair of boots to fix and he did a great job with those as well and he shined them for me. This man is a crook. He is dishonest and when confronted with it he will pretend he can't understand English well and acts confused. He was going to charge me $50 for new heels on my boots, we had agreed he would be replacing the heels with stacked rubber heels for $50. He took my name and phone number, he could have called me when he changed his plan and decided to do something differently. There was no problem with understanding my english when we agreed to the deal. I went to pick up my boots and they don't have new heels, they have a new wrapping around them. He acted confused when I said this isn't what we discussed and just kept repeating himself re. what he did, as if I was not understanding him ...a classic way of just trying to frustrate someone with broken english. He said since this is leather it is very valuable and also costs $50. This isn't what we had discussed or agreed to, and I didn't feel this was worth $50. He claims it took him two hours of labor. He is a flat out liar. It doesn't take two hours to glue two strips of leather over a heel. The bottom of the heels now have some cheap cover on them and they sound really loud when I walk on wood floor or tiles. I will never go back to this guy again, I need to have my heels fixed on my boots to fix the heel he charged me $50 for. read more

I brought my shoes to be repairs a few days before the Christmas holidays. I was pleasantly surprised on how fast the turn around for my shoes were.... Within 24 hours. I took my Alexander Wang boots in and the guy quote me $26 to add sole for the forint part, but when I picked up, he ask me for $29. He told me that he put on better quality sole and it is more expensive. I hate it, it looks horrible. It has the brand of the material that he used. To be fair, the work itself was pretty good. I've been taking my shoes here for the past ten years, even though I don't work in the area anymore. I've always received friendly service and excellent workmanship. Mainly I've brought in shoes that just need new soles, but they also saved a very expensive pair of boots with a leather wrapped heel that had been butchered by another repair place.
