We had friendly service, delicious food & great drinks! We were seated outside on the patio for "Tini Weenie" night. It was a lovely late summer evening. We had such a wonderful overall experience and will definitely be back! Thank you!

One of the best hidden gems near the Virginia Beach Boardwalk! This woman-owned organic vodka distillery offers unique flavor combinations you won't find anywhere else. We spent part of an afternoon here enjoying several creative cocktails crafted by a truly talented bartender, and every drink was excellent. They also have a great selection of merchandise if you're looking to take home a souvenir. If you're a vodka fan, Waterman Spirits is an absolute must-visit.

This is such a cute place inside with lots of merch to purchase. They have a bar and seating with tables and couches. I went on a Monday for their martini night and for their Tinis and Weenies night on Wednesday. They are very different but both awesome. Mondays....you can't beat a $6 martini. The bartender was awesome. The service was great. And the martinis were perfect. Wednesday....Tini's and Weenies.....a lot more damage to the wallet. And you will be taking your card out twice. Once for drinks and once for hot dogs. Service was wonderful too. So friendly and I love the tableside service. Martinis were perfection and I love all the different kinds to try. The caprese was delicious. And keeping with the theme I had a caprese weenie. They were definitely delicious...but the night is pricy. 2 drinks and a dog can cost you $50 with tip. Or you can go on a Monday and get 3 drinks for $18. Would I go back for Tini's and Weenies?? Yup! Sure would. Bring your friends and be prepared to spend money but have fun. And get there early!!!!

One of the drinks we made was their take on an espresso martini!

This was either the third of fourth time my friends and I have done a drink making class here...one day we'll actually go for drinks lol. We always have such a great time at the drink making class and this was no exception. Marissa was our teacher and she was excellent! She was knowledgeable about the product and great with helping us make the drinks. She was also fantastic when she let my friend and I swap one of the syrups, hazelnut, for almond since we don't like hazelnut anything lol. The one sort of downside to this particular visit is it would've been nice to know they can't sell any bottles of alcohol after nine. My friends and I spent some time chatting after the class and when we went to buy some bottles, we were told we couldn't because it was after 9. Not a huge deal, but it would've been nice to know.

Logan was a great host. I recently went to the holiday spirits class with a group and we had a great time making cocktails. Logan was very informative and engaging. I highly recommend for a ladies night or a group of friends to check this out. The pineapple upside-down martini is a must try!!

My beautiful friend, Natalie, celebrated her birthday at Waterman Spirits, where we got to enjoy her special day while making cocktails at their Spring Cocktail Class. As soon as we walked in, I couldn't help but notice how beautifully decorated the distillery was. It was very inviting and all of their spirits and merch were openly displayed for purchase. Our class started at 7:30pm and the host was amazing. She explained how Waterman's originated and how their vodka was made with 100% organic corn. Before we began making the drinks, she walked us through all the items displayed at our station and taught us a few cocktail making tips as well. Throughout the hour class, we made 3 different cocktails; Lavender Bloom, Strawberry Cream Soda and Smoked Orange Espresso Martini. It was a very interactive experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and even made some new friends. I highly recommend going to Waterman Spirits to enjoy a cocktail at their bar or attend one of their amazing cocktail classes! We had a wonderful time and I'll be back for sure!!!

The drinks here are excellent, super well balanced. I had an Orange Crush, their specialty, and it was the best I had in Virginia Beach. I also got another drink, a habanero daiquiri, it was excellent as well. We sat at the bar and the service was fine, friendly but mostly focused on getting the work done. Everyone else in the party was very happy with their drinks as well. Atmosphere was clean and light. Nice place for a drink in the afternoon.

Wow! This place is amazing! Waterman's is one of my favorite places when visiting Hampton Roads. I was excited to see they now distill their own alcohols and let me tell you- they are good! I bought a few bottles after tasting them. The bartender was really nice and informative. We were told the drinks here are different than the restaurant and honestly you could tell- they were SO good. I tried two fall menu cocktails: cinnamon White Russian and the holiday crush. Both so good and perfectly crafted. My partner got the pumpkin spice martini which was SO good and the pineapple upside down which was also great. Highly recommend trying this place! We didn't have enough time to return, but it's even dog friendly! Will go back when we are in town in the spring.

This place was fantastic! The bartender whipped us up some samples the moment we walked in. Parking was easy to the right of the shack around 3pm on a Friday. Ambiance was awesome and I love the bar top (maybe quartz?) everything we decorated beautifully for Christmas. We did not have any food and I did not see any food or snacks menus... there may be some peanuts for sale but we did not get any. I will be back! Everything was very clean, staff was kind, and decor made me feel like I was in a wonderful Christmas shop. Very elegant and plenty of cocktails to choose from.

Strolling on a windy Monday was made perfect when we strolled on in. Great atmosphere and totally awesome server. Small world she even came to our table and then knew people from a nearby town that we are from. The Passionfruit Martini with the jalapeño infusion was soul warming and delicious.

Ladies Night our way! My sorority sisters and I decided we wanted to do something different so we signed up for a mixology class at Waterman's Spirits. We made three delicious spring cocktails. Everything we needed was in front of us. We received the recipe for each cocktail at the end. There is a bar inside Waterman's Spirits so we took our cocktails outside to enjoy the patio with gas fireplace. The Shack was jumping' so we were able to enjoy that vibe as well.

I took the Vacation Pours class this time. All the drinks made me feel like I was on a tropical island. The instructor was fun and lively. It was easy to make the drinks because everything was laid out for us. As per usual I'll be returning again for the next class.

What a great concept with a classy vibe. It was my wife's birthday on a chilly, Thursday night when she saw the place glowing off the street with very few people around. She said "lets try it", so I pulled over parking on the street and walked in. The place was very clean, classy and comfortable but with a very unique view of the distillary behind the bar. Reminded me of a modern "Willy Wonka" factory with that brass look and colorful bottles all around. I thought it was way cool but a "different take" from your typical distillary vibes. Usually you see something like this in a brewery or a place a bit more "rugged" however this had a... "females touch" to it but yet fitting for anyone. We met the owner Mariah and her staff member (possibly Ally?) working with her to which they were closing things up for the night. We had a couple of suggested cocktails that was from organic vodka and to my surprise, it was delicious. I had a Vodkarita that was clean but yet a hit of spice in it. The vibe and conversations with the both of them became so welcoming, warm and comfortable that we stayed until they closed sharing a great ending to the wife's birthday evening. Comes to show that you should take chances in life because if we didn't stop here, I would never have know how cool of a place this is. Definitely give this place a check for a relaxing time with great, organic Vodka that just might surprise you!

It has quickly become our favorite place to relax, enjoy great company, and discover new wines. We also hosted a private event here, and Mary and her team went above and beyond to make it special. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and our guests had a wonderful experience. Most recently, we returned from Tinto's wine tour in Italy, and it was beyond anything we could have imagined. The trip was beautifully organized, and we felt cared for every step of the way. It was an unforgettable experience filled with incredible wine, amazing people, and memories we'll cherish forever. The wine tasting is still my favorite part of the Cooper's Hawk experience. It never fails me. And Nightjar? That one has my heart. The brandy gives it just enough attitude to remind you that you are, in fact, an adult with excellent taste and nowhere important to be afterward. Once the tasting is over, we usually migrate to the bar, and that menu has quietly collected some serious favorites over the years. My longtime love has always been the shrimp and scallop risotto. The risotto itself is still consistently creamy, rich, and beautifully done. Unfortunately, the seafood portion just isn't what it used to be. The scallops seem to have entered witness protection, and the shrimp are often tiny and a little overcooked. At this point, it sometimes feels like a gorgeous bowl of risotto waiting for its seafood to come home. Maybe toss a little crab in there and restore some dignity to the situation? Just a thought. Thankfully, there are plenty of other winners. The burger is easily a 10/10 for me. The chicken piccata completely surprised me because I am not usually a big piccata person, but Cooper's Hawk somehow won me over. The Parmesan-crusted chicken is simple, familiar, and absolutely phenomenal. The green beans are always tender, the mashed potatoes are divine, and the quesadilla on the bar menu deserves far more attention than a quesadilla has any business demanding. Dessert and I have not spent nearly enough time together here, but I did try the chocolate mousse dessert, and yes -- she was worth meeting. The atmosphere is elegant without feeling stuffy. Depending on how lively the locals are around the bar, it can get a little loud, but that is honestly part of the charm. It always feels warm and welcoming, and somehow I manage to meet new people, make new friends, and then find myself back there celebrating with them later. That may be my favorite thing about Cooper's Hawk. I originally came for the wine and food, but over the years it has become a place tied to people, birthdays, family dinners, friendships, and plenty of "one more tasting and then we'll go" lies. The wine keeps me coming back. The food gives me plenty to love. And the memories make the reservation worth it every time.

Hubby and I were thrilled because one is opening near our home outside of Charlotte, NC. Make reservations! This place was packed and we quickly figured out why. Everything is so good. We didn't quite figure out the "lay of the land" but there appeared to be a designated place for tasting that was packed. We enjoyed looking at the "wine toys" while we waited for our table. There are sooooo many unique things that I can't wait to purchase from a location closer to us when it opens; traveling with glass didn't seem too smart. Our server was great and I wish I knew her name to shout her out. Ask to sample any wine you're curious about. And let me say... the sampling pours are more than just a sip. I was astonished! I chose the red flight as rendered. Everything was good. I'm not a fan of Spanish reds and should have substituted that one. Next time! They are so conscientious about food allergies and preferences that you can customize everything (except the jambalaya). I already knew before arriving (because I look at menus ahead of time) that I was getting the scallop and shrimp risotto, especially after I learned I could have it without the disgusting peas and asparagus (but with extra spinach.... I do love some veggies). It was AMAZING and will probably be the dish I always end up getting at the Indian Land, SC location when it opens. No room for dessert so you'll have to read my next review for that. 10/10

We were the only patrons for much of our visit. My birthday daughter and I ordered wine sample flights and chatted up the owner. Wife shopped the gift area and picked out a nice bauble. The good: the owner was very engaging and told us about the wines (and wine slushies) they offer. We asked where the grapes came from and she explained that some came from Chile, some from California (I believe) and other places, and that she blends them here. (This would be expected with no attached vineyard.) The place was very clean, and the restrooms were easily accessible and spacious. The price of the flights was a mere $5 for six communion cup sized samples -- you choose 6 of I guess 12 - 15. Mulled wine is a welcome option on a winter day. The disappointing: While there is a good assortment of wines, and many were on the good side of okay, none stood out and said BUY A BOTTLE OF ME. The fruity sweet wines were VERY sweet, not really good for dessert wine or sipping. (Sorry.) But again, the reds especially were drinkable and pleasant. Verdict: a good stop if you need a break and a glass or two to go with your conversation. Just don't set expectations too high and you'll be fine.
