I had a good initial visit here My nurse was great Doctor gave me quite a few prescriptions for several issues Initially the Doxycycline I told her I needed for cystic acne never got called in. After calling 4 days in a row (and initially ranking them 1 star here for still neglecting to call in the prescription) they called it in today So I don't know if my initial displeasure registered here had anything to do with that but thank you to whomever called it in I didn't have to wait long to be seen, the nurse was great, the doctor was knowledgeable and quick which I like and staff were nice. I want to start off by saying it has taken me so long to find a doctor like Dr. Kellie Mosley. I walked in office and every single staff member was so professional and nice. The weight was not long was taken right on time once Dr. Kellie and nurses came in. She instantly made me feel at ease. I had an abscess that needed to be removed, and it was not very nice looking . I was very much embarrassed by it. They were extremely sensitive and caring to my situation and I could not be more grateful for that. I just found myself the best Dermatologist. read more

The staff at the front desk is extremely inadequate, and the office manager is rude and not in control of situations. In contrast, the doctors, nurses, and specialists are of high quality, but even they are exhausted working in such an environment. I'm surprised this place has even 2 1/2 stars. They're trained to not offer help or let you sit down until they get that 20 dollar co pay. I paid on line my first visit and had to tell her that. I have a suggestion to those who were not happy with their care and/or service at Water's edge. Unfortunately, with the healthcare system as it is, patients need to be more proactive than ever. If you talk to someone who promises a timely return call, get their name and follow up explaining that this person assured you some one would call within whatever time frame. Check insurance on your own ahead of time. Explain to your provider what you want - if it is a complete and through assessment of your condition and next steps, SAY SO! Payment agreements should be provided in writing before scheduling any procedure. As a top provider of dermatology solutions in Florida, these folks are extremely busy. Offering the best experience possible can only happen if patients do their part as well. read more

I had been going to Water's Edge Dermatology for several years without any problems until July 17th. 0f this year. On that day the girl at the front desk took my Debit card and copied it. Took $12,750.00 from my bank account and did a wire transfer to a credit union and also stole my landline phone number. I will never go back there again. Dr Mosley Mendez and nurse I saw at my appointment were so rude and unprofessional. I felt like she barely cared to give me the correct treatment and I wasted my money buying products she had barely any interest explaining to me. I never returned for my follow up appointment because of how she treated me. Her nurse started taking pictures of me without saying a word, she did not ask permission or even say she was taking photos of my skin. I went in for a routine checkup and enjoyed every moment. The staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The PA and assistant was fun, caring, and very professional. My questions and concerns were all addressed and wait time was minimal. I would highly recommend this location and I look forward to my next appointment. Terrible service and even more terrible staff. Staff does not communicate. Each person will tell you something different. I was told that I can do a payment plan for my thousand dollar surgery. But five minutes before I was supposed to leave to go there they called me saying we cannot do a payment plan and cancelled my appointment. Dr. Mosley just looked at me for 30 seconds and said I was fine but she wanted to get the spot removed for $1000 I asked her about a new spot that had popped up she said don't worry about that she did not seem interested at all she does not care for her patients and she is just worried about getting a check. Dr. Mosley-Mendez treated me for 2 months and the did a peel which ruined my skin and brought all spots back (melasma) and new ones.

Will never go back. I am in medical field so know quality care. Dr Moseley Mendez examined me for all of 30 secs. Said everything looks fine mind you I have two new mold growing on my face that do not look normal so I asked about removing them she said it would not be covered under insurance and would cost $150. I went there w one because it's been bothering me. It took 2 secs to remove by razor which I could of done myself being a nurse. After I called my friend who is a dermatologist and said insurance should have covered due to being new and appearance of it..as she was walking out door I asked about Botox which she had nurse quote me 900$ and MD left the room. I paid 260$ w insurance, never asked if I had any other concerns which I do and put on my paperwork. Just overall more of Aesthetician then Dr and will never go back or recommend read more

Dr Elias is always super friendly and open with what he thinks is the best option for your skin. I got treated by mosely mendez years ago at another location but felt like leaving a review anyway. she does not take her time with patients.. at that time i was dealing with bad acne and scars and all she did was prescribe me with rx and out the door... i also had a laser hair removal that she and her assistant did on me and ended up burning part of my eyebrow.. they were snickering like little kids which back then I didn't do anything about it. but just shows how unprofessional she is. I called to make an appointment with a doctor at the lake worth office. When I arrived For the appointment I was told I would be seen by the PA. I told him I did not want to see a PA I made the appointment to see if position, a dermatologist. I was told the physician was there once a week. The practice seems to run by PAs, not physicians. I've gone to Cleveland Clinic for many years, but it became very difficult to get an appointment, etc. I have a history of melanoma so I wanted to find a dermatologist who did an excellent job, but had an office that was easy to work with and get appointments every 6 months. I went to Dr. Mosley-Mendez today and my experience was fantastic! The office staff was great, I didn't have to wait long for my appointment, and she was wonderful! She was thorough with her exam and so pleasant. I was nervous to make the change, but I'm so glad that I did! read more

As I grow older I deal with more and more 'specialists' spending a lot of time in doctor's offices. From my very first visit to the office of Matthew J. Elias, OD., I have never had a problem. After yesterday's visit they are still 5 stars. From the receptionist, Susan to the doctor's assistant Yvette to Dr Elias himself I was treated as a person and not only that but as an intelligent person! Susan was kind enough to call in a prescription for me, Yvette called me the next day in sort of a follow up and from the first moment to the last Dr. Elias was friendly and positive. The office is spotless, bright and looks as new as it did the first time I went there. Coincidence or whatever you call it I just got a call from Yvette offering me a solution to a problem I had regarding one of the medicines DR. Elias. Going to a doctor's office is always a chore, and time consuming, but going to the Water's Edge Dermatology office in Lighthouse Point is a fast, pleasant procedure that makes being old a bit easier. read more

Visited this dermatology franchise in November for rosacea. Was seen in a reasonable amount of time and give several scripts. Over the holidays, the rosacea went out of control - like a burn victim, I look. Had an appt for the 5th already scheduled - got a call from the office - the Dr. Elias was leaving the office and they wouldn't have any Dr. available. Could put me with a nurse-practitioner on the 12th, but since my eyes are now affected...wtf? On to a new dermatologist and staying away from big groups since they don't seem to keep the Dr.'s. BTW, my insurance lists 4 derm Dr.' s for this office and none of them, apparently actually work there. read more

I was seen by Dr Kellie Ann Mosley Mendez twice and I am pretty sure after the 1st visit I said I was going to see another doctor next time but a year past and I made my annual check up with her. I feel she is more about the cosmetic side of dermatology then the growing old gracefully side, being a 46 year old who was diagnosed, treated (surgery/chemo/radiation) squamous cell carcinoma I am perhaps expecting a little extra but I did not even get what I would call a thorough full body check that would of sufficed if I never under gone what I have went through. Then the billing, I paid my co-pay, then got hit with another bill for additional $85, then another bill from lab which I have got before, paying now- yes a little bitter you can say. If i could give NO stars I would.. I've suffered from eczema for 10+ years. When I came down to Florida, it seemed the warm weather exacerbated my eczema 200x. Anyways, I started going to a dermatologist when I was like 22-23 and after countless times trying different meds, and nothing working, I found Dupixent. It has honestly been a miracle!!! So before I found Dupixent, I get charged $250 to get a biopsy done to see if what I have is (what I thought it was at the time) psoriasis (my insurance doesnt cover this dermatologist). I was planning on starting Humira. Turns out I have eczema. So I find out about Dupixent and go into the office to start the process to start this medication. They took pictures, write up their paperwork. I get charged $70 for the office visit. Then my insurance approves me after a week. I take my 1st loading dose on October 26th, 2018 and my skin starts to drastically improve. 3 months goes by and I have to go back to my derm so she can see my skin and, after bloodwork is done, refill my prescription. I get charged $70 for the office visit. 3 months goes by again and I have to go back. She says "You should just get your bloodwork done before you come so I can fill your prescription as soon as you come in here." Not a bad idea. So I go to pay for my office visit ($70).... NOPE!!!! $113 and change. My mouth dropped open. I asked why so much? One of the nurses tells me it was a biologic visit, so thats why I was charged more. A biologic visit? I wasnt given any medication, the derm just looked at my skin and told me to get blood work done. The last two times I was charged $70 for the same exact thing. She says "oh well someone must have entered it into the system wrong." Whatever, so I paid them. The very next day, I woke up early so I could go get my bloodwork done and make it to work on time. Now, mind you, the last injection I gave myself was on April 15th. It's now April 30th. I get my blood work done on Tuesday and it arrives at my derms office on Friday. I called my pharmacy at the end of the day on Friday and they hadnt received my refills. No big deal, they got it at the end of the day on a Friday, I'll call Monday. I call at the end of the day on Monday and still no refills. Tuesday? Nope, no refills. So on May 8th I called at 8am and explained the situation to the woman at the front desk of my derms office. Called again after calling my pharmacy at 1140am (just so I could catch them before they went to lunch) still nothing. I called a 3rd time around 3pm and they said they would have a nurse call me back; they said the dr was out the previous day and they got really busy (yea, but you werent busy enough to not go to lunch and it takes 10 seconds to fax something). I get called back around 350. It was the nurse saying she was faxing over my refills now. So I call my pharmacy an hour after the nurse said she faxed the refill. The pharmacist said it can take up to 2 hours for refills to appear in the system, they literally get 100s of refills every hour. So I call back 3 hours after the nurse told me she faxed it and they still dont have it. It wouldnt have mattered if I had my bloodwork done before I got to my derms office, its been almost a week with them having my bloodwork and NOTHING IS BEING DONE!!!!!!! Guys, I have been seeing this dermatologist for close to 10 years. I have NEVER been treated this way. I am beyond frustrated and so angry. I am switching dermatologists. Why is it so hard to send a fax? You all make sure you go to lunch, but you cant take 10 seconds out of your day to fax over my bloodwork so I can get the medication I need? I called them 3 times on May 8th and still nothing was done. This is absolutely the worst feeling in the world. I am LIVID!!!!!!!!! So I get a phone call.. Its the manager/supervisor at WEderm telling me he had a months supply for me, but I had to come in and pick it up. Really? I'm thankful for that guy, whoever he was, but honestly this whole practice is a joke! He was probably the only one who even attempted to make this situation a little bit better. You guys just lost my business for good!!!!! read more

I would highly recommend Dr. Mosley. I have been to many different dermatologists over the years to address my melasma, but her treatment is the only one where I have seen a noticeable improvement. She has been extremely patient with all my questions, she gave me different options for treatment, I never feel rushed thru the visits and she never tries to upsell me on products. With my history, I must see a dermatologist every 6 months for a full body check. No doctor has ever examined me as thoroughly as this doctor. Very disappointing first visit - it was over in 4 minutes. I came to get a bump on my forehead looked at. Dr. Moseley sawsaid more than one and they were benign and could freeze them off for additional $250. My insurance would not cover this because it is considered cosmetic since they are benign but this doctor got $198 for that visit ($30 of that was my co-pay). I would have been ecstatic if she had just frozen off the one I came for but I felt like I got no treatment for that visit. I am going to go back to my previous derm even though I will have to drive 28 miles now that I moved but she always did a little treatment. read more

I feel so passionately about how absurdly bad my experience was here that I'm actually leaving a yelp review! Basically, You're just treated like a number here, I came in with serious acne concerns on my face and back and the dr never even examined me! He just started writing up prescription number one on his list.. No results after 6 weeks of constant use of everything he gave me, just burnt my flesh, but I wanted to be consistent and keep going and give the drs a chance. So next appointment, after waiting literally an hour in the waiting room, as usual, with the rude front desk ladies (that think it's ridiculous if any ones annoyed at all by the ridiculously inconvenient wait time) I go in, get drilled with a bunch of standardized questions from a nurse that doesn't even make eye contact with me, dr comes in, talks with me for 3 minutes I tell him no results, he writes me a new stronger prescription and new topical, at this point I know were just testing out whatever new drugs that are trending now, but I wanna be hopeful still and give them the benefit of the doubt, I stick to this treatment for another 2 months! No results, I come back again, aright well write you another prescription! Try this! At this point, with all these random poisons they're giving me, I've probably only increased my cancer risk by 40% and lost my ability to bare children. I will never come back here again, totally impersonal experience that just wasted my time and money and reassured my doubts about prescription drugs. 6 months of guinea pig testing was enough for me, I've gotten better results with my own home regimen, drinking water and laying out in the sun. read more
