My husband's grandmother is a retired hairdresser and she was impressed with my hair for the big day! Laura has taken my rich, dark (almost black) hair to blonde and back to natural, and has done a great job every time. She also offers Brazilian blowouts, which are great for straight-iron addicts. Management did respond and apologize. They stated it would be up to Laura to refund the service. I am writing to address a service that my daughter had done last week. I will attach pictures that speak for themselves. When addressed with Laura, she gave numerous excuses and flat out lies of why my daughter's hair turned out like this. After being in the industry for many years, I know for a fact that she knew she made a mistake by bringing Alex back to the sink for a second toner. All that was being requested was a simple partial highlight of her "virgin" roots. When my daughter stated she was unhappy with the outcome, Laura said she would fix it next week for another $65. I find this completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Laura never apologized, only gave a slew of excuses and said it was a "corrective color." That was never discussed. The only thing Laura offered was the tip back, shameful. I didn't even address the fact that Laura started a haircut, stopped in the middle of it and left my daughter soaking wet. She had to leave the salon this way after she was told her she didn't have time to finish the service. She now has to go elsewhere and pay for someone to fix the mess Laura created. UPDATE She has since had her hair fixed and it looks fantastic, besides the few places she didn't lift enough the first time with Laura. The experienced stylist at Salon Bogar had no words for what Laura had done to her hair or why she did what she did!

It seems you still have no accountability for your actions, just empty public promises. Please don't ask me to contact you to "look into what happened" a decade ago. Replying to a 2014 review in 2026 isn't customer service; it's a transparent PR stunt to clean up your Yelp page. The only "best next step" was the one I took 12 years ago when I permanently took my business elsewhere. To anyone reading this: don't let this performative response fool you. The EXACT review comment the owner posted on Jul 15, 2026: "Waiting 30-45 minutes past your appointment time and leaving with color on your skin isn't acceptable, and I'm sorry you dealt with that. The ongoing color transfer onto clothes and linens after your visit is especially concerning. We also should've followed up when you called. Please contact us directly so we can look into what happened with your appointments and figure out the best next step." I received a private message from Luisa shortly after I saved this update. Full of more non-sense and pretend apologies: Luisa G G. "Thank you for sharing your perspective. I completely understand why receiving a response so many years later felt frustrating. To provide some context, we did not have access to our Yelp business account for many years because it remained under a previous owner's account. We only recently regained access, which is why we have been responding to older reviews that we were previously unable to address. It was never our intention for the response to come across as a publicity effort. I'm genuinely sorry that your experience left you feeling unheard. Regardless of how much time has passed, it's disappointing to know that you left with that impression of our salon. While we cannot change what happened years ago, we do believe every guest deserves to be acknowledged, even if that acknowledgment comes much later than we would have liked. I learned about this salon from a client at my own job - she is an employee there. I decided to go in and check out their menu of services on my lunch break. Prices seemed reasonable, so I called and booked my appointment. I had checked out all of the stylists online and had hoped to be booked with Kristen M. as luck would have it, that's exactly who I got! She was very friendly and welcoming. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and actually said she was reluctant to do a service until my color grew out, stating it would make my hair unhealthy and she didn't want to be responsible. I appreciated her honesty and concern. I got the best cut and color from her and was thrilled with the price. My color has held up well and looks natural - just the way I like it. Kristen took the time to ensure I walked away loving my look! In observing other stylists while waiting under the dryers, they seem talented, too. It's not a salon with a lot of frills, though it's very clean and inviting. They have a separate nail area. I loved that I could tip on my credit card. So many places require cash tips now. This makes it easy and allows me to tip a bit more generously, as I rarely have cash. They offer coffee, tea, etc. I recently had my second cut with Kristen and was equally pleased with the results! It was also like sitting and chatting with an old friend. She gives pretty awesome scalp massages during the wash, too! They don't hard sell products like many salons I have been to. Brought our teenaged daughter here for a cut and she loved her hairstyle as well! So happy to have found a consistent, friendly, reasonable and exceptional salon!!
