I simply wanted someone to run thinning shears through the bottom of my hair--a quick touch-up that would likely take only a couple of minutes. When I called, Kelly answered the phone and was dismissive, telling me no one had time to help. When I called back to ask for a manager's name, her attitude changed and she suddenly seemed more willing to help, but it did not feel genuine. I was repeatedly told that everyone was booked, despite my request being very minor. What disappointed me most was the lack of customer service and willingness to accommodate a long-time client. I wasn't asking for a new appointment or a lengthy correction--just a quick adjustment following a recent haircut. I would have expected a salon of this caliber, especially with directors such as Amy on staff, to make more of an effort to ensure customer satisfaction. I have always enjoyed Pure Lux and hope this feedback is taken constructively, but this experience left me feeling undervalued as a loyal customer testing out the salon.

Initially, she didn't even apologize or give an explanation. I drove back home, made an appointment with a different massage business, and left a message cancelling my rescheduled appointment. To the business owner's credit, she called me within five minutes apologizing and offering a free massage. She was very understanding and professional. (If I hadn't received such a prompt, professional, and kind call from Stephanie, this would be a one star review.) We don't have many massage options in Oak Ridge and my past experiences with Oak Ridge Sports & Therapeutic Massage were fine, so I will probably try them again. However, I will be sure not schedule it with Shania.
