Realized I never came back here to provide an update. After my review, I paid for more tests through a certified testing company, which found hazardous levels of asbestos left behind in every room that Watkins worked, ranging from 160% to more than 11,000% above the hazardous limit. (See images) I also contracted a second licensed abatement company to clean up the asbestos Watkins left behind and safely dispose of the carpets/contaminated furniture. Here are some side-by-side comparisons of how the two companies approached asbestos containment. In Sept 2022, I submitted a claim against Watkins through the CA State Licensing Board, which was passed on to an investigator who then escalated the claim to arbitration through the CA State Licensing Board. The arbitration took place in May 2023, and the arbitrator ruled that Watkins must reimburse me for all the damages they caused, which totaled more than $20,000. Watkins paid this in July 2023, and I've finally been able to pay for the last of the work needed to move back into my home. read more

Had an unfortunate event of water heater exploding and waking up to a massive flood from the garage to the driveway.... big bummer... thank goodness we have our awesome plumber who was available for a much needed upgrade to a tankless water system... with that being said...of course with all upgrades with an older house built in the 50s you have asbestos. This company is just amazingly kind, helpful and quick!! They literally were able to come out the next day!! Sent over everything via email to sign and fill out and explained the process of removal of asbestos. Affordable!! Yes these things can be an unexpected costs, but they are Affordable and it's not the labor or the removal, depending on the job, but it's the fees to dispose of the asbestos and reporting to the county etc it's a headache I'm sure. They handle all that for you. Prompt and on time! When managing a crazy household of toddlers and work schedules, on time is a very valuable thing to me when it comes to scheduling. Very clean!! After finding asbestos tile underneath the two layers of carpet in the new commercial space I was leasing I became very discouraged. One of the carpets was glued to the asbestos tile making this even more complicated. Watkins Enviromental to the rescue. He told me he would be able to get me the estimate right after he looked at the place. Guess what? Its January, 11th, 2020 and still no estimate. I messaged him and he doesn't respond back.
