I am writing this review because I hope potential referral partners read this and realize that referring this company will make them look more professional/credible. And as for customers thinking about using this company, they need to know that the way the owner runs this company helps to reduce stress at an exceptionally stressful time in their lives. After flooding and resulting mold growth, we were referred to Optimal Solutions to remove and dispose of many sections of our interior walls which had Asbestos. The moisture/mold needing to be mitigated was growing inside the walls in different apartments as well as the laundry room, all in the same building. We worked directly with William, the owner, and time and time again I found myself taking mental notes about how compassionate he was, how ethical he was, and how much he went out of his way to make this experience less painful for us, emotionally, logistically, as well as financially. With the crazy logistics/timing/parking/noise demands relating to various insurance claims, a half dozen tenants being rehoused, other work being done by other workers on the exterior and whatnot, and having to be mindful of the needs of other tenants in unaffected units of the building who were still living on site, he truly rolled with the punches without showing the least bit of frustration. Also, I recall being impressed that he was ready and able to send over a team each time I needed them to do something with very little notice and zero oversight. Excellent communication was another thing I noted and appreciated. William was consistently accessible. I am a texter and William was always responsive to answer questions and help me figure out what I was doing, even past business hours and on weekends, again with no evidence of frustration. And where any questions arose, he made sure to find out what I wanted before proceeding. You would assume this is the norm with all contractors but I assure you it most definitely is NOT! (I once had a general contractor paint the interior of an apartment assuming the color would be white without even asking me - and semi gloss at that! Also I had one who took it upon himself to paint a wood beam which was stained to preserve it's natural beauty. Just two examples of things that can happen when you get a contractor who doesn't communicate when in doubt...) And finally, sometimes it turns out to be the smallest things which really matter the most. I was pretty overwhelmed with all that was going on with this mitigation (on top of some significant personal issues going on with my family at that time) and before I even realized it myself, William saw that I was unnecessarily running over to the building giving various people access over and over. Not only did he suggest/offer to lend me some lock boxes (one for each apartment and another for the laundry room) but he also went far out of his way to get them to me. Things were repeatedly too hectic and I just could not coordinate my schedule to meet with him. No matter, he saw what was going on and the next thing I know he had made a special trip from Santee to the building in Point Loma on a Sunday to place them for me, texting me the codes afterwards. And more telling yet, the team completed the job over a week ago (air quality test passed on the first try) and knowing that I am now in the rebuilding phase with various workers still coming and going for a while longer yet, he continues to lend those lock boxes to me... still helping me offload stress and he is not even working on the building anymore. read more

I would recommend this company to anyone that has any issue you run into in your home. We called them out to look at some popcorn ceilings in our home and they notices what looked like a roof leak and as they don't do water damages they refered us to a great company that is fixing our leak. He provided a very competitive price, and was very responsive, available for questions anytime I called him.
