Ask the Community - Watson Adventures Scavenger Hunts

Thinking of doing around the world virtual scavenger hunt. Family of 4. We have 2 computers. Can 2 people share a computer? Do I then pay for 2 or 4 tickets?

HI Isabelle -- Great questions! You'd be able to play with 2 people per computer, or you can get really cozy around one computer if you'd prefer. The price is per person (so 4 tickets.) Have fun!

We are considering doing the family "Who done it" hunt at the Met? Its pretty expensive and wondering if its appropriate for a family of 4 with 2 children (8 and 11). Does everyone need a cell phone? Is there much interaction with an organizer?

Hi Irene, Thanks for your interest in our hunts! The Whodunit at the Met is recommended for ages…

This isn't an intense cooking class, just in case you're wondering but it really can't be because it's designed as a fun group activity. Therefore, everything is prepped really well and with basic kitchen skills you and your team can prepare the food. I did learn a good onion dicing technique that I used the next day. In any event, our supervising chef was Ryan and he was great. Really energetic and helpful. There was plenty of work to do for all of us and the time went by quickly. When it came time to eat, we were all very hungry. I thought all the food was delicious. I was surprised at how generous the portions were, especially the dessert. Of course that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing. This was a really nice group activity and the staff there do a great job of getting things done so the program moves along without feeling rushed. Definitely recommend this for a corporate event.

We asked about it, and they said they could actually do a quick demo for us-which was so nice! We played one game (the waiting one) and had so much fun! The next day, we decided to do the experience, and were paired off with another team of six people. The host was different this time, but both were so high energy and positive-we loved their vibes! Anyways, we played several games, from drawing blindfolded to a reverse family feud style game, etc...it was soo much fun! Btw, the host was recording while hosting (great job multitasking!) and ended up sending us a cute reel of the game highlights-loved it!! We will definitely be back, and will be checking out their other locations!!

We split up into 2 teams of our choice and our game show was hosted by the lovely Danny. She was very entertaining and kept the energy up throughout our time! She gave us the opportunity to pick between trivia, chance, or physical games as well, which we liked having the options. The chance games made everything more "fair", but trivia def kept the vibes fun and competitive! We were ~10 min late, so we weren't able to play all the games available, but had a BLAST regardless! This spot was located conveniently by Times Sq. If it weren't for its bright lights, I would've missed it since it was under scaffolding! If you're a smaller party, you'll likely share the room with other small parties. There are multiple rooms, so multiple Game Shows are occurring at once! There's a 10 min grace period for the reservation, otherwise it'll start without you and/or you'll have less time to play their games. Don't forget to fill out their quick waiver before/upon arrival. Staff is super friendly! Would highly rec this experience for any occasion and to have a fun time!!

When signing us up, I mentioned in a note that her dream is to become a chef. The class included seven or eight adults and us, and Chef Paul went out of his way to make her feel welcome. He took her under his wing, showing her basic techniques and treating her aspirations with such respect that she felt truly seen and encouraged. We arrived early, and Chef Paul shared that he began cooking in a professional kitchen around the same age as my niece, then apprenticed under a famous chef in Paris at 15. He later became the head chef of two restaurants before opening his own culinary studio. The class focused on French cooking and included a four-course meal. I loved that it was small and intimate--just 10 people--compared to other classes I found that had 16 to 20 participants. Although we worked in groups of four to prepare each dish, Chef Paul brought everyone together where he demonstrated key steps across all the courses--techniques that many cooks get wrong--and showed us how to do them for the best results. He even provided special recipes for us to take home and ensured that each student got hands-on experience with parts of multiple dishes. It truly felt like a shared and collaborative learning experience. By the end of the three-hour class, our class of nine or ten had shared a delicious meal and great conversation. My niece was absolutely thrilled and left even more inspired to pursue her dream. If you have a child who loves cooking, I can't recommend Chef Paul highly enough. He even offers children's group classes upon request. Thank you, Chef Paul, for such a warm, generous, and unforgettable experience!
