My husband had a terrible massage from Kristen that he did not ask for then was told that it was $20 more than the price on the website which the owner tried to say that the specified price listed was the " starting price " which it does NOT say starting. It lists $250 for a couples massage, so that is what the customer is expecting to pay. That is how it used to be. The owner then called and interrogated my husband about his experience instead of trying to reconcile it. Was overall a very uncomfortable experience that we were so disappointed by. We traveled 3 hours for this and 100% will not do again. We will still be returning to Morro Bay though just sans Spa By The Bay.

Herbal tea on arrival, one hour gentle massage from Don, a foot soak and a light lunch, manicure (his very first), pedicure (his feet never looked better) and facial from Melissa, Dad practically floated home. He loved every minute, was still floating 2 days later. As he wrote us: "It's luxurious, yes, but also therapeutic, a body healing. Medicare should include it." And I suspect he will be back. I had injured the shoulder in a fall during hiking 3 years ago and I have had recurring pain, which in the last year turned to constant pain at a level of 4-5. Not to mention reduced range of motion. My back had been my weakest link physically and I figured stiffness and chronic pain was the payback for all that running along with all those years. Shawn came highly recommended and I initially went to him knowing I had much to gain if he could help and only a few dollars to loose if he couldn't. Working with Shawn has been an extremely positive experience both physically and spiritually. I've recovered flexibility I've not seen since college, my core is stronger, I no longer have ANY back pain, I feel healthier and I'm back to running pain free.  Just being pain free has made my visits well worthwhile.   The improvements in my running are icing on the cake. Sessions with Shawn are great.  Initially he focused on relieving my back issues and now he focuses on getting me more efficient in my running while maintaining a healthy and sound body.  Throughout it all Shawn has given me exercises to do at home and has, in a sense, become my coach and also my friend.
