When I arrived, they were having some technical issues as the Internet had been out all day. Everyone was so polite and accommodating, and kept apologizing profusely. I got pictures taken of my teeth and was able to share some of my concerns and desires with Jennifer before Dr. Cozad came in to speak with me and examine my teeth. He had a great bedside manner and explained things to me in a way that was easy for me to understand and also decide how I wanted to proceed. The office itself is absolutely gorgeous and everyone I encountered was super friendly. I can't wait to receive treatment at this office.

The doctor and assistants were all very patient with me and were able to placate many of my concerns in regard to the treatment. I was told my pain medication and antibiotics would be called in, but when I went to the pharmacy, no prescriptions had been sent. After speaking with Marrisa hours later, I was still left without the medication I needed just minutes before the pharmacy closed. I would not recommend this office. The care, communication, and attention to patients are unacceptable, especially after paying such a high amount.

It was explained to me that after their investigation, they realized that a policy was wrongly communicated to me regarding wax distribution and charges. The policy states that wax, rubber bands and storage boxes are given to patients currently in treatment at AVA - AT NO CHARGE. Patrons who request the aforementioned items who are not AVA patients are charged a small fee. Now this... THIS MAKES TOTAL SENSE! It was an honest mistake and misunderstanding on the part of the person my daughter spoke with that day. The doctor assured me the staff had reviewed the policy, and this would not be an issue moving forward. He also communicated how important it was to him and the practice that we were happy, and I truly felt that came from his heart. As a final gesture of good faith he offered us a second retainer when she finishes her treatment. And as we all know... every kid needs that... because eventually they lose the first one:) The value of this retainer is about $600. I made sure he knew I didn't write the review to get anything for free and tried to tell him this was not necessary, but he insisted. I am happy with how this was all cleared up. And I can honestly give them a five star rating... not because I got something for free... but because they addressed the issue and did so in a professional, respectful manner. What stood out most to me was that Dr. Amin M. made multiple comments about my teeth in a way that felt more aligned with general dentistry rather than orthodontics. This came across as unnecessary and somewhat out of scope for the consultation I was seeking, which made the experience feel less focused and less professional.
