I called the after-hours line and was seen this morning without a lengthy wait. AND, there wasn't an astronomical charge attached to this unexpected visit. Dr. Joon Kim, Dr. Huynh, Raven, Rochelle and the WHOLE staff are very compassionate and caring; which is very rare these days. They take time to ensure that you are comfortable and pain-free before procedures are started. Whenever you decide to visit, be sure not To let the exterior portion of the building fool you. The office is clean and the equipment is sterile. Good hand-washing techniques are practiced. I even noticed that the exam room chairs are sanitized between each patient. In other words, even though this practice serves mostly those who are indigent they treat the people like they are important. (Which they are. ;) I truly believe that God is going to reward and bountifully bless this thriving practice to become one of the leading dental establishments in Houston. My first check-up consisted of 4 parts: First, a sit down consultation, with a staff member, asking what I wanted to do with my teeth. Second, I was escorted to a dentist chair for not only x-rays, but high definition pictures of my mouth. X-rays and photos where taken from all angles. (photos are used to evaluate tooth and gum health) Everything is explained to me, so I can understand what is going on. Third, I go over to the dental hygienist's chair for my cleaning. Lastly, I spoke with the dentist as we looked at the photos and x-rays. We talked about the concerns and questions I brought up in the consultation. Talked about what I wanted to do with my teeth and the most urgent problem areas that I needed worked on first. I have already recommended him to friends. Down side for me is I have a new insurance which makes him out- of -network. I'm in the process of finding an in-network dentist, but I don't think I will find one as good as him and his staff.

Immediately the staff member I was talking to Anna was so welcoming and helpful that I knew right away that I wanted to start here. I went in for a cleaning and a complete set of X-rays just so that they could know my true needs. Turned out I needed two VERY old fillings replaced with crowns afterwards. I have honestly have never been to a dentist where it did not hurt in anyway at all. Dr. Kleypas gives painless injections for numbing and all the other work was completely painless. The entire staff works so well together, they are like a family who are nice to each other and so friendly and welcoming to me as a patient. Each time I've been to the office they make me feel like I've been there for years like I too am part of their family! Liz and I talk about running and Anna and I talk about working out in general. Even though they refiled claims, Delta Dental has upheld their original adjudication of covering services 100%. This practice has become non responsive after multiple emails and I have therefore filed a complaint with the insurance company and disputed the charge. Consumers should be wary of their billing practices based on my experience.
