It is very, very sad to me that in the day when we works so hard for money, that doesn't go very far at all and then to choose to spend it with this establishment and then be treated with such total and gross disrespect does not make any sense at all. If I were as evil as the manager was to me. I would say, I hope this business goes out of business.But that would put a lot of people out of work, and that would not be good. I manage an establishment with 20 employees and if I ever heard one of my employees talk to any customer or not make it right for any customer. I would unfortunately have to do some corrective action in a possible separation. To employ somebody who literally talks to People with blatant disrespect, literally waiting until you close your mouth so they can jump on top of you has to have the last word unwilling to do absolutely anything to help you is absolutely ridiculous. I will never in my lifetime. Go back to the store and anybody that I know that wants to buy furniture. I will make sure that they stay far far. Far away from this store. I will also be trying to see what I can do to seek some. Type of legal action. Because none of the things that I was told after purchase and receiving damaged furniture was disclosed to me at the time of sale or during my shopping experience. However, the sales guy was great. Unfortunately, like a previous reviewer, said, once you sign the papers, it's no longer an issue for them. Never again.You got me once, but you won't get me twice.

The second visit, we got Ashley who greeted us, was very professional and made clear he would respect our privacy but also check in periodically. I'm not one to complain but it is very frustrating being a young couple in our 20s, going to spend thousands and get treated like we are kids. I get that we are young, but to assume that we are oblivious to information such as a card balance, how much the "monthly payment" is and to repeatedly not listen to what we wish to not add on to our purchase.

    LET THE BUYER BEWARE! Zero stars for the O'Fallon/Shiloh Illinois Lazy Boy Store! We purchased a…read morehigh end motorized reclining sofa and love seat with console, one of the most expensive sets in the store, on Labor Day 2022. We were told it would take a few months to get our furniture delivered. On 22 October the furniture arrived with both pieces having non-functioning motors! We were told they would be fixed or replaced soon. After hearing nothing for more than a week, I visited the store and the manager was present as I presented our displeasure with no one contacting us but he chose not to get involved. On 22 November the new furniture arrived and this time never left the truck as the first piece was unwrapped the truck driver discovered a large gouge and inch by inch V shaped tear in the leather on the left end that went down to the wood frame. Again, no one contacted us as we rejected the second set of furniture. We visited the store and asked for the manager who told us we could not get a refund! He would contact the warranty company on our behalf and see what he could do. We told him after two failed attempts to deliver a quality product, we weren't interested in furniture that clearly left the Chicago warehouse in poor or non-functioning condition. A warranty does not go into effect when nothing has been delivered. Again, the store manager refused to refund our nearly $10,000 purchase! He said he did not have the authority to refund. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!! There is another furniture store next door; there is also a store in Fairview Heights that specializes in leather. We still don't have our money back or any offer of a solution!

    Short: Ordered furniture at end of December 2020- now being…read moretold August 24, 2021. 8 MONTHS waiting on furniture. Details: Ordered a sectional a the end of December. We were told by the Macy's sales associate that it would be a while before it arrived- maybe April or May. Received an email in February from Macy's stating they would let me know when my furniture was in the warehouse. Seems like all is moving along & would arrive about April/May...the same time we were told by the Macy's associate at time of order because expected delivery times is often a deciding factor when people are purchasing furniture. At the end of April- I decided to check in on my order and was told the order was now expected at the end of August. Eight months waiting on furniture!? We expected a delay of about 3 maybe even 4 months due to COVID, but after being told April/May and then doubling the wait time without a word is BAD BUSINESS. Was sooo happy to find a sectional big enough for our family & within budget, however, this ordeal is Definitely leaving a very bad taste for Macy's. In fact- after we get our furniture, hopefully in August- this will be the last thing we ever buy here (if they don't go out of business first). Especially after being told we lose the deposit if we cancel our order. If we find a couch we like that's deliverable before August, it will be worth the loss or small claims court (I got time) or the CC bank will eat it, and Macy's can stick the couch you know where. It will be in stock for the next sucker. More informative updates and more accurate estimations of delivery time from sales associates on our furniture would've avoided this. We ordered this based on an April/May delivery- NOT August.
