I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Watson's regarding my hot tub cover. When I purchased it, I expected a quality product that would hold up under normal outdoor conditions--because that's exactly where hot tubs are typically used. Now that the cover is failing, I reached out for warranty support, only to be told it wouldn't be covered because the hot tub was not under an additional cover or structure. That requirement was never clearly communicated at the time of purchase, and frankly, it seems unreasonable. A hot tub cover should be designed to withstand being outdoors without needing to be protected by yet another cover. It feels like a loophole to avoid honoring the warranty rather than standing behind the product. Very frustrating and disappointing customer service experience. I would not recommend based on how this situation was handled. read more

When I got to the desk, the person working behind the counter asked me if I'm alright? Not sure why. I was patiently waiting for him to get off of the phone. When I presented my pool scenario and questions, he avoided that topic and told me it was brave to wear a dress that doesn't match my fingernails? I again asked a pool question, but when I accidentally stuttered he asked if I have a speech impedement or if I was from the country where my foreign language tattoo is from. I did bring a small container of water with me to the store (not knowing if someone could help me test the water, since I am a new pool owner) and he asked me if I brought it for him to drink? I eventually had to walk away without answers, help, or products that I was ready to purchase to set up my pool. This establishment came highly recommended by a couple friends, but after my first visit I will never come back here. Bought a swim spa at the Watson's in Chesterfield, MO. First why they don't thrown in steps with a significant purchase line that who knows...it should be a red flag. Second my Bullfrog swim spa padding started peeling up. Tried to get Watson's service to respond and they have not. In person they were non responsive to my situation. Email and calls either don't respond at all or they promise to review and get back to you. I knew the purchase would be over $2000 and was surprised that I was barely acknowledged when I went into the store. A very elderly man was on the sales floor and didn't seem to care whether he made a sale or not. When spending that much money for an umbrella, I felt the least he could do is explain the features and benefits of the umbrella. He barely made eye contact with me and yet told me that he's been working there for a very long time. I ended up leaving the store without making a purchase. Purchase a pool at the beginning of August. The salesman stated we would be in the pool by the end of the month. Mid-September and still not ready for use! Delivery was 2 weeks late. Had to call the store a dozen times to try and get a scheduled date set for the install. Third-party installer who ran his Bobcat until almost midnight because he didn't show up until 7 pm! Filled the pool as directed, and the skimmer box leaked, and the connection from the pump to the filter was damaged by the installer. Lost 3000 gals of water! Called the store and they were in a hurry to schedule a tech to come out, "I think I can get someone to you in two or three days". Would highly recommend going to any other pool store than Watson if you are looking for a pool! read more

He started showing us some options, then I mentioned that we wanted to look around and would let him know if we needed anything. Not refusing to cover anything....they will give us the parts, meanwhile the pool; that was installed by Watson's, is half in the ground, where Watson's installed it. After searching all over St. Louis, I decided to try Watson's for pool patio furniture. When I say I looked everywhere, I looked everywhere from "high end" stores to online. Watson's has a huge selection, but thanks to their sales team, the process went off without a hitch! I don't recall our sales rep's name, but they guided us to Tropitone chairs and a Treasure Garden sunbrella. Our furniture still looks amazing! We scheduled delivery, and two of the nicest guys ever Khyle and Nick brought it out. They were awesome! After they left I noticed a tiny hole in the console. I immediately called Watsons and they were able to send the guys out with a new one. SAME DAY! Long story short, the dye lot on the one of them was not the same and my being picky they bent over backwards to make us happy. I have been a customer since at least 2012. We purchased a pool and had it installed. There was a hole in the liner which they patched the first year. Although I wasn't happy about having a patch in a brand new pool, we agreed to let it ride. It has not leaked at all. We have replaced the pump motor twice. The first was under warranty and was replaced at no charge. The second was within the last two years and was caused by our own negligence. They no longer make the same pump so we purchased a direct replacement which they had in stock at a reasonable price. We had to replace the liner this year after at least ten years. The liner we received was the exact same liner and it was in stock. Any parts we have ever needed to replace have been ordered and we have received. read more

It was already broken by the middle of December and service came and were unable to repair it. We were told that a new one was ordered. I strongly suggest a second thought when purchasing from Watsons. We have made two large purchases. The first one was fine, because nothing was wrong on delivery. The second item was delivered with a broken piece. The deliveries are subcontractors and not part of Watsons so I had to call Watsons for the piece. And when I said I had to call....I had to call 8 times over a 7 month period. Each time I got an apology and they would check on the piece. I never received calls back and they never followed up on it. The service manager admitted they have no reminder system to follow-up with the manufacturer. So as a consumer I have paid 8,000 for a broken item that I had to be their reminder to keep checking on it with still no update on them checking on it. HORRIBLE SYSTEM and I will NEVER make a large purchase with them that I may have to have the trouble of being the "follow-up" person on a piece delivered broken. read more

Purchased a power reclining leather sectional unit. The bottom fell-out of one reclining section after only a few weeks. It was replaced a week later. The new reclining section would not fold completely from day one. At removal of the entire set another week later, I learned that the legs were not installed on the replacement section. Therefore, it was unable to fold correctly. To summarize, (1) poor quality product, (2) slow and poor service and (3) no refund of my $4,000+ seven days after they have had the piece of cXXp. Mike has been great trying to help me troubleshoot the problem. Wasn't able to get it started last Monday so I called Mike on Tuesday. We bought a hot tub from Watson's 13 years ago. They were always great on coming to our house to service it over the years. Just recently the pump was not working. Because the company no longer makes the model of our pump, Watson's recommended a place that could fix it. Getting it fixed turned out to be an ordeal, but Watson's was great. They worked with me and had to make several trips to our house. The manager in the service department was great at getting us scheduled and Mike the man who came out to our house was very nice. We had already went elsewhere and bought a tub but he still offered to mail us a credit to the store. He did everything to correct the issue and assured me it should have never happened the way it did. I really wasn't expecting much after this experience but I am pleased with the outcome and the fact that they tried to make this right. Bought a hot tub from them and after two years we discovered delamination's in the fiberglass. These areas are weak spots in the fiberglass in the spot where you enter/exit the tub. When we reached out to them they initially said they would be replacing the tub. Now they changed their mind and want to put patches on it. I could have spent all day at Watson's. They have a HUGE selection of beautiful patio furniture, billiard tables, message chairs, hot tubs, pools, and more! We went in to look at above ground pools and ended up leaving having financed the pool we went in to look at. The financing process was easy. My only complaint is that we had to ask for help from a sales associate where other couples were getting approached by the sales team. Maybe its because we are younger and they did not think we were there to buy. I bought a hot tub for nearly 6,000 dollars. Three months into it stop working correctly. I scheduled an appointment to get it repaired and took off work. No one showed up or even bothered to call me. I called Back and rescheduled a few days later. The service manager said the part was ordered and it will be a week. He could not tell me what the part was because no one ever showed. I waited a week and called back. Then, They sent service man to come out and trouble shot the issues and said he will get the back in a few days and be back. Two weeks later I call them and the service manager the part was ordered but they have no tracking and it was the manufacturer fault. I told them to get it fix ASAP. It was over a month already. They sent out another service man and he did the same thing. "Ordered" the part and it will be a few days. A week later I called again and they did not have the part. I spoke with a person who claimed to be the general manager and said it will be resolved immediately. Another week passes by and still the hot tub is not working correctly. I call Back again and they state they will remove the part from their display and be here Wednesday to fix it. Wednesday comes around and no calls or shows up again. I demanded a refund, which they refused. Then had the nerve to call me a lier staying they called and talked to me and then changed it to they left me a voicemail saying when it will be fixed. It took over two months to get it repaired and absolutely the most incompetent business and unethical workers around. One lie lead into another and another, until they blamed me. They offered a gift card which I refused. I will never step foot into their business and I stronger recommend you do the same.
