I'm a paraplegic and just traded in my old car for a white 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. My previous car had scratches all over the drivers side back door from constantly breaking down and putting together my wheelchair every time I would drive by myself with hand controls. So I was looking for a company that would cover the back door with a protectant to prevent the paint/door getting scratched and damaged. I was referred to Gordon Watson and just took my car in yesterday. I am SO happy with the job he did!!!! The covering he put on is self healing, protective, and so whenever my wheelchair bangs against the door the protective cover will prevent it from damaging the door. Gordon was amazing, did such an awesome job, was so friendly and nice to chat with while he worked, and I brought my seven month old puppy in with me who he allowed to be in there. After the car was complete, he even gave me a couple strips of the protectant material to put over the metal areas on my wheelchair that get banged up! Gordon Watson installed window tint on my vehicle for $425 Less than a year ago. This is supposed to be guaranteed for life. Already there are corners beginning to peel up through no fault of my own. It took multiple voicemail, emails and text messages to finally get a generic emailed response that Watson's window tinting "no longer provides that service." No longer provides that service? Unbelievable. Gordon had the best Yelp reviews when I was looking for a window tinting company. This is why I chose him. He was also twice the price of most in town. I assumed I would be getting the best product and service and didn't mind paying his high fees. Unfortunately, I paid him in cash and have no record or receipt of our transaction. I should have realized something was off when he wanted me to come back after-hours a couple days later to so he could remove The way too dark Tint installed on my drivers door window. A service he says he usually "doesn't provide" but was doing me a favor by peeling it off (which took 5 minutes tops.) Before arriving he texted to just pull down behind the building and into the shop bay. I did as instructed. Upon greeting me he promptly pulled down and closed the roll-Up door. That should have been the first red flag. I began to wonder if he might be living at the shop after seeing that the shower in the bathroom (yes there's shower) had just been used. Combined with the fact that when he encouraged me to hop inside his Land Rover (which was also parked inside) to see how dark HIS windows were tinted I noticed the back of was laid flat with nothing but an open sleeping bag sprawled out. The advances quickly followed. Let me ad that this shop is located in a run down building on dark S. Rodeo Gulch. It is part of a small strip of "businesses" that have a lower level which face a dark wooded area accessed by driving around the back of the building. There is little to no outdoor lighting and although it is close to Soquel Drive it FEELS very secluded - and after hours it is DARK AF . I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Fast forward a few months and when I finally get the courage to call and schedule the replacement Tint that I long ago had paid for but had been too uncomfortable to reschedule. And I receive the "no longer does auto tint" email. No mention of warranty, who else to call, nothing. I may not have a receipt for what I paid Gordon Watson but I do have complete email threads confirming the price paid for service. As well as all text correspondence including not only details of service Rendered, price paid and appointment times, etc but the very unprofessional, inappropriate and unwelcome messages received after the fact. Shady is putting it lightly. Steer clear of this business and this owner. read more

I expected more. Gordon installed my skylights and has not stood behind his claim to support them. The painters damaged them in cleaning and Gordon was perfectly willing to help me get the job repaired until he found better work. Now he says he is not interested. Don't expect him to stand behind his work. And this is even with the painter's taking responsibility. Gordon the owner was the silver lining in a long list of unfortunate events for me. I was in a car accident and dealt with getting body work on my car. After the body work was fixed we found the windows/tinting also had been scratched and who was at fault (car accident or body shop) was a grey area. Gordon was booked out for 2 months but heard about my long list of unfortunate events and said he'd do whatever he could to help me. After 4 days he called and said he'd fit me in the next day. He was so nice, professional, and helpful. I wish I had taken him to get my windows tinted in the first place as I went to his "competition" and they scratched the roof of my car. (They did fix it, but after a few in person meetings and me insisting it was them that scratched the top.) I didn't know about Gordon at the time. Gordon went over and beyond dealing with my car today and offering good advice. He was even willing to go pick up the glass himself, tint in, and put it in without my involvement because he wanted to turn things around for me as fast as possible. I can't review Watson's work because he no-showed. We set an appointment for 8AM. The night before I got a text confirming. This morning, I left my house at 7:30 because I live 1/2 hour away from his shop. 17 minutes into my drive, I get a text that Gordon is running behind because 'gettin my daughter to school at 0815'. So, I think, well, maybe he had a little family mix up. It happens. At 8AM, I text him that I am waiting outside his bay door. No response. At 8:35, I text him to never mind, I am leaving. It is 9:20 now and still no response. I am also going to have to break the news to my wife that when she gets back from her business trip that she will NOT have tinted windows on her new Subaru Legacy. Very disappointing. I would tell all my friends to look elsewhere. Update: At 9:46AM I got this text: "Not sure if you went to the wrong place, I was here at the time your message was sent... Still have time to do your car..." -- But, I WAS at the right place. I was parked right outside the bay door that has watsonwindowtinting.com on the wall. And when I arrived (on time), I went into the open office next to that bay door and talked to Jim, the guy who owns the space that he rents out to Mr. Watson. Jim knew I was waiting for Gordon.
