Bartender jerry is great. Drinks was on point and very informative. I would come back here. Chill vibes and quick service. My shrimp tacos were delicious!! My gf had the chicken wings and fries and enjoyed every bit of it. Let's talk about this mango chamoy drink!!!!!!! Soooooooooooo freaking good and strong with the tajin rim. I'm definitely coming back and especially for Jerry's great service!!!

I loved that this bar had a very family like vibe to it, everyone seem to know everyone. It wasn't loud and everyone was friendly, even the customers. Food took a minute to come out but the bartender explained it was because they had a large party of 7. The wait for the food was worth it, fresh, well seasoned and not your typical bar food.

UPDATE: Support this place, love this place, allow it to grow and turn into the community staple that this neighborhood deserves! A great addition to the neighborhood and in the best location. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful, I've only been a few times but the owner knows my name already. Scallion pancakes and the wings are the only food I've tried so far but they were DELICIOUS. The sauces with the pancakes were great and the wings were perfectly crunchy. The buffalo sauce on the side is great since it lets you decide how much crunch and sauce you get in each bite. Cocktails are simple but great, they don't have a ton of beers on draft but they're new and growing so I'm sure more will come. Let's make sure we support these guys and show them love so they can prosper (especially once their patio open)

    Shrimp tacos! Fucking crazy good

Update - Today we ordered for delivery the brunch burger and challah French toast with berries. The star of the show was definitely the French toast. Slightly overdone on the outside which provided a delightful and slight crunch and the inside had the traditional custardy texture. I believe we found a wonderful new brunch spot.

The salvaged wood interior and candlelit ambiance create this inviting space that feels both historic and lived-in. It's cozy enough for a relaxed family dinner but still feels special. We've worked our way through quite a bit of the menu over the years. The mushroom tagliatelle is rich and satisfying, the crispy chicken sandwich hits the spot, and the charred orange cauliflower couscous topped with smoked salmon is a real standout--beautifully balanced. The pan-fried okra and fried shrimp are great for sharing, and the rainbow beet salad adds a nice fresh note. I also appreciate how kid-friendly they are without dumbing anything down. My kids are happy with their chicken poppers and quesadilla while we enjoy the more adventurous stuff. The place is named after Jacques Cortelyou's famous 17th-century map of Manhattan, and somehow that history feels present without being gimmicky. It's just a really solid neighborhood spot that makes you appreciate Ditmas Park. Cortelyou Road has a lot to offer; The Castello Plan is a great option to grab a tasty bite while exploring the neighborhood. Extra point for a killer music selection the night we visited, featuring Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Queen, Dire Straits, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Simple Minds, Eric Clapton, and more! ------------------------------- [1] https://www.yelp.com/biz/ditmas-park-halloween-house-brooklyn

It's stylish without being pretentious, and the space just feels good to hang out in. The drinks are really well made, balanced, interesting, and clearly crafted by bartenders who know what they're doing. The crowd is always chill, too. It has that neighborhood-but-still-trendy energy where you feel comfortable right away. They've got small bites if you want something to snack on, and there's a really fun back room that almost feels like a hidden little lounge. And I have to mention the bathroom because... it's definitely interestingly decorated. Unique in the best, quirkiest way. Overall, Ruth's is an easy favorite for a casual night out with friends, a date, or just grabbing a great drink in a beautifully put-together space. A real Flatbush gem.

Wow - what a great little spot!!!…read more Ruth is not on the beaten path for me, but I was heading down to King's Theatre for a concert and looking for a nice bar for pre-gaming. And, guess what? Ruth was just what the doctor ordered. So how would I describe Ruth? It's a cross between a speakeasy and a trendy neighborhood bar... and they serve up some tasty drinks and snacks!!! The interior is cozy with a number of arranged seating areas so parties of folks can gather together. The bar area has stool seating where you can watch the bartender make drinks... and there's even a separate back room area that looks like it could be rented out for private events. As for bartenders and staff, they are all awesome!!! Final thoughts = if you are nearby and ready for a nice drink, hit up Ruth. You'll be happy you did!
