about thier shoddy service. After cutting into my tooth nerve mid operation and causing me the most pain I've ever experienced in my life. Watts then referred me to another dentist to complete the work while in pain. The dentist they referred me to then told me the work Watts did was bad. Watts them lied and said that they offered to redo my work and I declined (this was a lie)which why would I let them back into my mouth after that? Only after my insurance agent got involved did they fold? I will be speaking about it in full on my podcast Medicine Ball Ls3 on ALL DSP and coming back to update once the money has been refunded. But this was absolutely ridiculous up to the fact that they tried to hide me in the back room because A grown man was crying in the office in pain and they didn't want the other clients to see. Meanwhile, they boast perfect reviews and being one of the most stress-free and caring dental offices around. After my experience it leads me to believe that they either paid for the reviews or they are coaxing their guests to give them a review and exchange for some type of incentive. This place is by far the best dentist office I have ever visited. It is a little far from where we live but I will keep coming back here. We found this place out when we had to have some emergency dental work done. I called several places very late on a week night and none of them picked up or even called us back. Watts dental however, had is in their office the next day and gave us advice on pain meds to take in the mean time. Since then I have been coming here for all my dental needs. The staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. They will definitely take good care of you. Also, they have a toy Aussie named Zeus who roams around the office helping calm down any patients who aren't too fond of dentists. read more

Today, I saw Dr. V at the fishhawk location for my wisdom teeth removal. I was so impressed that my meds were ready for pickup yesterday! The procedure went really well, the team made me feel super comfortable and Dr.V called me herself this afternoon to check on me! I don't know about you, but for me, going to the dentist isn't fun. Myself being prior military service and a military family also, we have moved many times and had experiences, not so good, with many dentists. I feel like I have found our new "dentist home" with Watts dental! I was instantly warmly welcomed when I walked into the office. I was offered something to drink and I barely had time to pick up a magazine and found they were already ready for me to go back! I was 15 mins early too! I was shown around the office, she explained each room to me and finally we got to the room where I would be having the cleaning. I really liked how, before any step of the cleaning process happened, it was thoroughly explained to me and that I was able to ask questions. I never felt rushed and I felt like my hygienist, Rachael, was already my friend! Dr Watts came in to talk with me and I have to say that he is very kind, patient, and is the first dentist to ever take time out to talk with me and answer my questions without feeling rushed! All of the staff here is amazing and I am so thankful I happened upon this dentist office! I highly recommend if you are looking to find your new "dental home" then Watts Dental is the place to go! I recently moved to the area and saw a dentist at this practice yesterday for a loose composite filling on an upper front tooth. I really liked the dentist, who explained that I needed a crown on that tooth and set up an appointment for next week. It was loose and last night it fell off, leaving a gap half the width of my tooth. I am not in pain, but started calling at 7:30 am, to see if I could have the tooth repaired today while keeping my original appointment for the crown. I really feel like I have been given the run around. I even drove to the office to show someone what the tooth looks like. Their response was that someone would call me. They finally got back to me at noon, saying that there was nothing they could do today. While I want to be delighted with this practice, I am not feeling that way at this time. Do they not consider a broken tooth an emergency and worthy of immediate attention? I will review this practice again after my next appointment. Everyone I have talked to has been polite, but very vague and somewhat dishonest in their responses. I wish they had told me the truth; were they were short staffed or didn't rate my tooth as a high priority since I wasn't bleeding or in pain? read more

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed at the Apollo Beach office In June. They charged me over $1000 and upon receiving the explanation of benefits from my insurance company, I discovered that I was charged almost $500 more than I owed. I've been requesting a refund for months and to date have not gotten anything and have been given the runaround. I had to contact my insurance company who contacted the office and advised them that this refund was owed to me.It has been four months since her appointment and I have not received my almost $500. They have acknowledged on multiple occasions that it was due to me and have told me that they were expediting it and that they were going to mail a check, but have not refunded it to date. It is appalling that a practice would be run this way. Next step is filing a lawsuit in small claims court, which I will absolutely do. I wonder how many other people they have done this to. read more

Came in to get a filling replaced. Told me they only do crowns. So decided to take the advice and get the crowns. When they printed my treatment plan the price was crazy high and that's fine. I have insurance and it covers crowns a 50% my problem is the treatment plan was not 50% off and when I questioned it I was told that they numbers are correct. Called my insurance company and they told me they don't even see the plan that was submitted in they system. Called WATTS back and they got an attitude with me like I shouldn't have called my insurance company. Let's just say went to another dentist office and was told fillings would be perfect for me. I had to much good tooth left to be shaving it down for crowns. Switching dentist company saved me over 1000.00. Do your research. Watts is trash read more

When I called to follow up for the fourth time, I asked to speak with the VA rep tried speaking with the rep as she claimed she was one...she wasn't the rep! The staff were friendly & professional, however as a new patient I want to warn others that if you need to schedule a filling or other work after a check up, they will tell you that you have to prepay for your treatment, "if you want to reserve an appointment." This is even with good dental insurance! This is totally unacceptable to expect to be paid prior to a service & in order to even be allowed to schedule an appointment! Our family will not be back! Be prepared to be confronted with this at the end of your appointment! read more

I love this dental practice and their team. I go to the Fishhawk location and everyone is just so personable, funny, knowledgeable, and available. They also make you feel comfortable while getting dental work done. I love that I can get emergency help quickly when needed and getting an appointment when non-emergency hasn't been an issue. Lastly, the service dogs are so cute and nice! How can anyone turn down an office that has sweet little dogs to pet? I love that the offices have them. read more

I have been meaning to write this review fro some time now but just kept forgetting until today when I was contacted by Watts. Let me start by saying if I could give less then a one star review I would. Honestly at first they were very friendly and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. I soon felt I was not at a dentist office but a used car lot, while under severe pain I was talked into several procedures I really did not need at a ridiculous price which they never shared until it was time to pay. One procedure was a bone graft that lasted only two days which I was charged over $700 for which took them 5 minutes to complete and very little materials. While extracting my tooth they broke a crown on another tooth which soon created a bad infection which required me to get root canal and new crown. At the time of them breaking my crown they said they would take care of it but when I tried to make an appointment they wanted to charge me full price and did not care about the failed and very expensive bone graft. Eventually I found a new and better dentist to fix what Watts destroyed at a fraction of the price. I can go on and on and complete the story, let me finish by saying after this experience I now know they only see us as a dollar sign, as mentioned they are kind and friendly when trying to get your business but if something goes wrong they do not want to know you unless you are willing to pay more. read more

Wow. I cannot recommend this team enough. I have had a few dental issues and finding a local dentist who available on my schedule and understands my teeth has been a challenge. Other dentists have had no answers to the issue and Dr Watts figured out that the issues were the result of a botched root canal several years ago that was affected. Once that was sorted out, It ended up I need 2 crowns and the entire procedure was excellent. I have seen Dr K and Dr Watts. Highly recommend. read more

I moved from New Tampa to the Riverview/Brandon area. I was looking for a new dentist office closer to where I live. I googled dentist near me Dr. Watts Dental popped up. Did my review and was interested. Filled out a form on their website and receive a text the next day. I set my appointment for April 10th. April 10th arrived I entered with warm welcome by MIchelle , who made the first impression for the office an amazing one. It was all about me. Received a cup of hot tea with honey and cranberry almond thin cookies by THIN addictives ( which the office was aware I am love with). I was then introduce to Christine who also gave me a warm embrace. She gave me a tour of the office. I meet Natasha who also was warm and welcoming. Both Natasha and Christine made sure I was comfortable and relax. They made sure my experience was a smooth sailing. I did not feel like a patient. I felt like a friend and that we knew each other for years. I meet the head boss in charge Dr. Jason Watts who was and always welcoming, gentle, easy going, confident, no judgement, always smiling, and very knowledgeable. I've meet Enrique who make sure to greet you even though you are not under his care. The last but not least is Pam who also is welcoming . she is the insurance guru.
