An excellent place to eat and enjoy some of the finest musicians in the area. Couldn't ask for any better atmosphere.

Before you read the novel below, I will summarize within the first couple sentences…read more We had heard about this small hole-in-the wall place and read rave reviews prior to reserving our table for a birthday celebration about a week in advance. We reserved for 4pm on a Sunday. 2 stars instead of 1 because 2 out of the 5 steaks ordered were cooked as ordered and were delicious. When we arrived it was to our surprise it was empty..no one else waiting/seated at the restaurant. It appeared to have one employee working, who happened to be the owner it turns out. We were seated and asked for drink orders and brought cans of pop, and told that Dr. pepper would have gone bad before it could get used so they didn't carry it. No big deal. Ordered a full spread of appetizers, didn't receive one item, asked about it and it was made and brought out. No big deal. Drinks were empty almost the entire time despite being the only table in the place and we were hardly checked on. Everyone ordered Rib Eye steaks except kids and one person ordered sirloin. We were told he was out of 10oz, so had to "upgrade" to a 12oz. All steaks were supposed to be medium rare. We were still the only people at the restaurant at this point...40 minutes later. The kids' items came out first, smart move. Then came my 12 oz steak which was burnt on edges, about 1/2" thick, and Well Done. Then, out came the 16oz rib eye and it was 3/4-1" thick, juicy and cooked to medium rare. As ordered. Then came my husbands steak, a 14oz cooked medium well and also about 1/2" thick the lobster tail was probably a 2oz tail and served meat side down on a leaf of lettuce...cold in the center. Then came the other 14oz that was about 3/4" thick, juicy and undercooked. Then came the birthday girl's 16oz and it was about 1/2" thick and well done. At this point, it was no longer a maybe because the 12oz was smaller it was over cooked, but a do they even know how to cook a steak? When I addressed the issue, I was told " Well, I cook on the plus side of what people order because some people say one temperature and mean another." I said "well, medium rare to me means warm red center. " He left and came back stating "I only have one steak left, so...." Just walked away. No apology, no explanation other than what was said. A table of 3 showed up about 5:30 and his attention went to them. We are business owners and know staff/supply shortages are real, we get it. BUT there is absolutely no excuse for the lack of service/explanation especially when charging over $20/$30 from a so called Wagyu bloodline that was over/under cooked 4/5 steaks. All he had to have said was, "hey, we are short staffed I am by myself, bare with me. I'm sorry it wasn't cooked to your liking, can I throw it back on or get you another/something else in its place?" But when you dismiss a complaint, offer no explanation, don't care to strike up a conversation with customers or even thank them for coming in there's a bigger issue. Especially when you shut down your Facebook page's option to leave a review after a message was sent directly to you regarding the service received is ignored. Something tells me maybe this wasn't the first time, maybe it wasn't an "off" night. Either way, reviews can still be left on other platforms and will be. We are not typically hard to please, be friendly, keep glasses filled up, bring us what we order and you receive a very generous tip and review. This was not the case here and people have a right to know what could happen during their visit especially since it seems any negative review is reported or replied to with a snarky come back.

Tried 3 different oysters- delicious. Finally got the scallops as an entree and they were some of the best I've ever had, plated over a thick cut of pork belly. They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

The menu offers an excellent variety, from authentic Asian-inspired dishes to delicious Cajun specialties, so there's something for everyone. The full-service bar is a great addition, and the beautiful atmosphere reminds me of the famous Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, creating a fun and relaxing dining experience. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and extra courteous, making us feel appreciated from the moment we arrived. To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and generous portions. I highly recommend UNITY Seafood Grill & Bar to anyone who loves great seafood, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

My real hang up with our visit was the server situation. We weren't truly adequately waited on and to be honest it was a little odd. When we were seated we were told our server would be right with us. After 11/12 minutes of just sitting there the gal had come back and asked us if our server had ever come over, which we told her he had not. She explained that she would take our order and then switch it to him later on. She grabbed us drinks, took our order, and delivered our food. Shortly after getting our food, our server came back to us while simultaneously putting on a coat saying that she was leaving and that he would be our server now. He never came back until it must've been obvious that we were looking for our check (keep in mind that our meal took a while to eat because crab is work). The funny thing was that a third server brought the check! It was a weird situation and honestly for the price of the food, service she be better. The food overall had great flavor and the portions were a good size. We tried the calamari and then for our daughter ordered the fried rice and lobster bisque. Everything was pretty good. My husband and I both got crab; I did the garlic butter and he did a spicer Cajun. He said his was great but unfortunately the corn with mine felt like it just was pulled from the fridge. I think this restaurant has great potential but they really need to brush up on service. I'm a little iffy if I would return.

It was every bit as good as I had hoped. Shuck's knows seafood--and they know how to make dining fun. From their lively, engaging servers to their inviting atmosphere and unique menu offerings, everything comes together to create a memorable experience. Most importantly, the quality of the food consistently shines through. My wife and I ordered the Deep South Risotto, a delicious combination of fresh shrimp, Andouille sausage, and green beans tossed in a spicy, creamy risotto. We also enjoyed the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, featuring perfectly cooked teriyaki-glazed salmon served over a blend of brown rice and red quinoa with tender sautéed broccoli. Paired with Shuck's famously ice-cold draft beer, these excellent entrées made for the perfect lunch before heading over to Big Ten Baseball at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. If you're visiting Omaha and find yourself downtown, make time for Shuck's Fish House & Oyster Bar. Great seafood, great atmosphere, and great service--you won't be disappointed.
