I've been here twice and each time there's open tables...I'll never understand why, it's so good! Seafood, steak, momos, bahi me after hours, full bar; a little bit of everything and the perfect size menu. This time was Crudo, fried momos, and scallops. The crudo was tender and tangy with a slight spice. The fried momos had a crisp outside with flavorful pork. And the scallops? Beyond! A rich, buttery taste on a bed of lentils. I don't know how but the combination made the already great scallops, really elevate. The interior is cozy and dim, with table lights to create intimacy. You can watch the semi-open kitchen or look out through their large windows. Service is great, as they work as a team. Will definitely be back!

Great spot. I took my hubby here for a nightcap for his birthday. There was some fun live music, I had a great new drink, a crazy good dessert (the cream puffs) and their delicious momos. It was a good time!

Went to Cattle Call for the dumplings. My husband is OBSESSED with theirs. We had multiple orders of them. But I left impressed with their unique menu. More than just dumplings!!!! Chef driven menu. The chicken dish I had was bursting with all kinds of crazy flavor. I enjoyed my lychee coconut martini too. Not a super big place FYI & you will likely be sitting pretty close to other parties

Cattle Call is such a great spot downtown, close to so many great local attractions such as the Orpheum, Old Market, and other event venues. This is a place that has both great food and drinks, and I've never been disappointed with any of my choices here. The spicy margarita is my personal favorite, and they have drinks for every taste. The momo is my favorite menu item, having ordered both pork and chicken, both fried and steamed. While I love them both ways, fried is definitely my favorite. I also really like the sauce options for the side, where they have both sweet, savory, and spicy options. The menu has other great options too, though it's hard to not order the mono every time! Both indoor and outdoor dining options are nice, where inside can feel like a great date night spot since it's a little dark with moody lighting. On the patio, it feels like a nice little relaxing spot to sit, talk, and drink. This is a great spot for both a couple or a small group. They're open late which is great if you're looking for dinner and a drink before a show at the Orpheum, and/or a drink afterwards! The late night kitchen is the best part for having a great spot to grab a quick bite of looking for an after dinner snack. The staff has always been amazing! They're super attentive and helpful, offering great recommendations and checking in often.

Since we regularly attend performances at the Orpheum we are always looking for places nearby to dine beforehand or grab a drink afterwards - this place fits the bill! It's a theatre inspired restaurant just down the street. Their menu is small, but unique - great options to choose from and it's a nod to the theater with the appetizers being called the "First Act" and the desserts the "Final Bow". They also have specials based on the current production at the Orpheum. We went before The Outsiders and I ordered the "Stay Gold". Very attentive wait staff, beautiful moody vibe, and they take reservations. They also have live music so check their website for that! The 2 reasons I didn't give 5 stars is because with the open kitchen it got a little smoky at times, and it's a little rougher corner in Omaha with people experiencing homelessness. There's a lot of construction going on down there right now so I would recommend inside seating. We had a little table by the window and it was lovely.

I've been here three times over the course of a couple months now (one time included Omaha Restaurant week) and I can confidently say Cattle Call is one of the TOP restaurants in Omaha! Starting small, this place is perfect for date nights or elevated nights out with friends and family. The dark lighting and cool decor create such a fun atmosphere that makes me feel like I'm not in Omaha, but a bigger city! The service has been fantastic all three times with attentive and accommodating hostesses and servers (I'm still so thankful the staff put tables together for one of my groups to sit out on the patio!) Speaking of, the patio is beautiful and so fun when it's a nice night! The food is FABULOUS! The first time I came, I nearly blacked out eating because it was so good. The pork belly under Act One is to die for! But really everything is amazing. Of course, i've loved momo's so them being available to order here is so fun. A must order every visit. We tried the fried one time and they weren't as good as the steamed though. I wouldn't order fried again. The drinks also have been great! The lychee martini is AMAZING and they have a very extensive wine list - lots of by the glass or bottle options! Overall, I would put this restaurant in my top 5 in Omaha! Add this place to your must try!

Stopped in here looking for a drink Friday night and was surprised to find the origins of my favorite place in Inner Rail! We sat at the bar and had a nice time and the bartender was fantastic. He was super helpful and offered suggestions and answered all of our questions. I tried the lychee martini and my friend had an amaretto sour. Both good but I don't know if lychee is for me. We then got the chicken momos, mine steamed and hers fried. Unfortunately, they don't have soup momos like Inner Rail does but the steamed momos were so good I didn't mind. So juicy and flavorful. The place is interesting inside, combining a bit of old Hollywood glam with greasy spoon diner vibes. I am not fully sure what the vibe is going for but I was comfortable. They have different menus for different times of day and are open late so check them out!

Chef Angie was so very helpful. I have limited diet - so it's above and detond-- emergency the chef comes out their selves to ensure your goof will be tast7'y, and work around your intolerances.

Stopped into Cattle Call before a show at the Orpheum and was so glad we did! The vibe is cozy and cool, and their happy hour (Monday-Friday, 4-6 PM) is a total win--$3 off cocktails, which made it even easier to try a few. I had both the espresso martini and a spicy margarita--and honestly, they were phenomenal. I was a little hesitant when they mentioned the espresso martini includes cream (not usually my thing), but it totally worked. Smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. The spicy marg had just the right amount of kick without being overpowering. Cattle Call serves food from Kathmandu Momo Station, a local favorite. While I didn't try the momos myself (not a fan of onions or cabbage), the person I was with raved about them. They said the dumplings were perfectly cooked and would definitely order them again. Whether you're heading to a show or just looking for a solid happy hour downtown, this place is worth checking out. Great drinks, friendly staff, and a unique collaboration with one of Omaha's most popular food spots.

This is easily in my top 5 favorite Omaha restaurants. We came in for the restaurant week menu and were not disappointed by the range that this menu has. I don't think it's possible to go wrong with your order here. The dishes are thoroughly thought out with unique flavors that are blended together perfectly. The inside is nice and it's cool to see into the kitchen and watch them work. Staff was super friendly and they go the extra mile to explain exactly what you're eating. Such a fun date night!

We always an amazing meal at Cattle Call, it is one of Omaha's best hidden gems! We went during Restaurant Week, and their menu did not disappoint! The tagliatelle was my favorite (as it usually is, I think they slightly alter it from time to time); the flavors were so complex and buttery - to die for! My fiancée had the pork belly entree that I tried and was delicious as well, but very rich! We will continue to come back when we are in the mood for a wonderful meal!

The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. Paired with cool yogurt and chili crunch, they ascend into another level of deliciousness. A tear of fresh bread across bits of remaining sauce, and then (not a minute sooner) "we are satiated, thank you!" and the server can take the plate. The restaurant is adjacent to a theater that shows unique offerings and they will sometimes coordinate events with menus. We liked the simple cafe style tables and openness. Their rotating cocktail menus are one of my favorite things about this spot -- each one has its own creative theme, and the current Halloween menu is such a fun touch. On my most recent visit, I tried the Poltergeist and the Bahama Rita on the recommendation of the bartenders -- both were absolute hits. The drinks here are always beautifully crafted and well-balanced, with a lot of thought behind the presentation and flavor combinations. My only complaint (and it's a small but sad one) is that they no longer serve entrées. I miss when Mercury had a full food menu -- their pasta and burger were truly underrated. These days, you'll only find light bar snacks, which pair well with the cocktails but don't quite replace a meal. Still, for creative cocktails, a stylish atmosphere, and great service, Mercury remains one of the best spots downtown.

First off, the interior is pretty cute, so I will give them that. But the feng shui of the inside was not super conducive to holding a large crowd of people. Random smattering of chairs in different heights and sizes, so it can be too small for a large group and too big for a couple. There were two big shows downtown, along with the CWS people in town, so it was crazy down there. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, they sort of looked around to see if there was a seat for us (what was the purpose of the reservation?). They first were going to seat us at a low set of arm chairs with a coffee table between them. Somewhere you'd like to sit and have a drink, not a full meal over a coffee table. So then they sat us at a gigantic eight-person high top table when there were only two of us - pretty awkward. We weren't really acknowledged for the first ten minutes or so, but as I said, they were very busy. Our server was great, though, once he got to us. We decided on a few things to eat as we ordered our drinks, knowing we were on a time crunch before the show. We started with the "Devils in Disguise" deviled eggs, and those came out pretty fast and were tasty, with a nice egg base and a candied type bacon on top. They were not too big of eggs, too, so not the type you have to unhinge your jaw to eat, which I appreciated. After the deviled eggs, everything slowed down immensely. Food was coming out around us, but not ours. Large groups who came after we had been there a while, and had ordered way more than us obviously, were getting their food before us. Entree-wise, my husband wanted to try the Prime Rib, as it was the special of the evening. But our server let him know that it was cooked a little over, but in his opinion was still good, so my husband took a chance. Well, let me tell you, it was NOT good. Very dry and almost inedible. The jus that came with it did help a tad bit, but not really actually. The potatoes that came on the side of it also were literally inedible. Burnt and oily and hard, we couldn't even chew them. I had two of the Bao Buns, the Bao Chika Wowza and the Shrimply Irresistible. They were each pretty good, but a little on the spendy side for how small they were. We let our server know about my husband's prime rib being gross, and they did offer to make him anything else he wanted, but we did not have time to wait any more (since the first things we ordered took forever to come out), so he declined, and they just took it off the bill. The decor is cute and our server was nice and doing everything he could to help the situation, but overall, we left still hungry to our concert and got takeout elsewhere when we got home.
