Specifically asked the office to have the cleaners here on time as I have to leave for work and the previous time they got to my house about 30 minutes late. This appointment was scheduled almost a week in advance. 2 Cleaners showed up 40 minutes late. They left the house super dirty, dishes in the sink, mirrors and shower doors dirty, all wood tops are dusty. Had to point out to one of the cleaners that the kitchen top is super dirty and full of water, he seemed very annoyed, so I just let them continue and hoped for them to leave as soon as possible. They promised to send 2 cleaners instead sent 1. The lady they sent was not good at all. I had sent pictures of my bathroom ahead of time asking specifically for deep cleaning. It included removing of mold from the tiles and the water stains from the shower glass. The lady did not do a thorough job. She did not clean the mold or the stain from the glass. I gave her a cleaning machine to help her. Gave her cleaning sprays (she did not bring anything). Showed her how to clean the mold as she had no clue how to clean. I found them through Yelp! When I booked, they quoted me $265, but with the Yelp discount, it came down to $195 for a house a little over 2,000 sq ft. I asked how many people would be coming and how long the cleaning would take. The person told me they couldn't estimate the hours without seeing the condition of the house, but they also didn't mention that only one cleaner would be coming. Although they are sending the cleaner, they did not disclose this. On the day of the cleaning, I was expecting 2-3 people, but only one cleaner showed up. She stayed exactly 3 hours and did a very minimal job. Some furniture, like the bookshelves, was still dusty. All of the bathtubs and showers were still dirty--I honestly wasn't sure if they had even been cleaned. The kitchen was the only area that looked reasonably clean. There were still bits of debris on the floor, and it looked like a dirty mop had been used because parts of the floor appeared oily. I do not recommend this company. read more

Still had not arrived by 12:30. Had to cancel & reschedule. Another cleaner came next day on time and did a good basic cleaning but did not clean oven or baseboards which are part of standard cleaning fee. Rescheduled for job to be completed and again cleaner did not come as scheduled. No call. Upon calling company was told of 'unexpected issue on road'. Very frustrating. Needed some heavy clean up inside due to the fires. Fortunately, my windows held up and not too much smoke and debris came through. But I still needed a deep clean. Called Wave House after reading some of their good reviews. Glad I did. Making an appointment is very easy. Everything is done online, including payment, and you can choose from two packages: the standard and upkeep. Chose the former as I didn't need a regular upkeep (I rather enjoy cleaning myself). Customer service is very thorough. They are good at following-up via text and email. Bonus points for that. When you choose the standard option, you can pick and choose add-ons to clean, like windows, walls, blinds, etc. Those are extra, or course. I wanted pretty much everything cleaned up, so I clicked almost all the boxes. The price for this cleaning I thought was very reasonable. Scheduling is very easy as well. They have many days and times to choose, from 8 am to later in the day. I scheduled a time for the following day, and Karla and Jose came by...even a little earlier than the appointment. The two did a great job cleaning my windows, floors, tables, etc. while using their own professional equipment. They were pleasant and easy-going to communicate with, even asking questions and pointing out things they had seen that might need cleaning. It has caused me delayed in communication as I had to call the operator to translate my words for me My bathroom tile mold was not cleaned at all and I have told the customer service. Your house is better off as-is than dealing with this terrible service. First, I booked a house cleaning on Sunday with the arrival window between 12-1. At 1:15, I called to get an update on the when the cleaner would be arriving (15 minutes after the end of the window wasn't a big deal, just wanted an update since I needed to leave around 2!). 1:45 I get a text that a cleaner wouldn't be coming. Great. Obviously the cancellation would be frustrating regardless, but I was mostly annoyed that I had to reach out after the arrival window to even be notified of this. They offered to reschedule later in the week. I had to request a discount for the inconvenience, but they did end up giving me one which was appreciated. Rescheduled for Thursday between 9-10am. At 8:55, I get a text that they won't be arriving until 10:30 due to traffic. I was a bit confused how they could know this 1.5 hours in advance, BUT they proactively told me this time. Progress! No big deal. 11am rolls around, and nobody is there. I call for an update. Cleaners arrive at 11:15. I was hoping to have them done by 3:30, which would be feasible for the size of our space, but went ahead and let them know that so they could get to work. My husband gets home 2 hours later and they're done. BUT the condition of the place was not anywhere near expectation. First off, I paid extra (PER window) for them to clean windows, and they couldn't be bothered to spray down with Windex. Areas completely unvacuumed. And best of all, didn't dust any surfaces before spraying them so every surface had now-dried clumps of dust all over them. I honestly would have understood if they hadn't had time to do a thorough job because I asked them to leave by 3:30, but my husband got home at 1:15 and they were gone. They ended up refunding me for the windows (as they should) and offering me 25% off my next service (which is what they offer existing customers -- i received a text that morning with a code for 25% off my next service). I would give it a zero start if I could. I booked my appointment at 10am and was given an arrival window between 10am and 11am, which was fine. I took the morning off from work since I needed to be at the apartment to let the cleaner in, and I also wanted inspect the work after the cleaner completed the job. I anticipated that the cleaning would be done by 1pm, so I could return to work. I reached out around 10:45am to check on the ETA, and I received a response around 11am, stating that the cleaner, Beatriz, was running late due to busy holiday bookings, and I was quoted with an 11:30am arrival time. At 11:34am, the cleaner was not present, so I reached out via their online portal again, but I did not receive a response. I called the number listed on the portal at 11:59am, and the person who answered the phone let me know that the cleaner was about 10 minutes away, but no one showed up. At 12:28pm, I received a call from the company, asking if the cleaner had arrived yet, and when I said no, I was told to give them a few minutes for them to sort it out. At 12:39pm, I reached back out, and no one responded. At 12:51pm, the cleaner finally showed up, which, coincidentally, a rep from the company replied to my text, stating that the cleaner was running behind due to the busy holiday bookings. At this point, it was clear to me that I had to take the rest of the day off from work, which resulted in loss wages. Additionally, I hadn't had any food and planned to eat sometime around 1pm when the cleaner was supposed to finish the work. Here's the backstory, I'm finalizing the move-out, so the apartment was completely empty, no food and no water. The cleaner spent less than two hours to clean the entire apartment (around 780 sq ft), and she wiped everything with water. No cleaning supplies were used. When I checked and let her know some spots that were not cleaned, she told me she couldn't speak English, and she proceeded to using Google translation and gave me excuses instead of cleaning thoroughly. At this point, I was exhausted and extremely frustrated and hungry, so I didn't want to deal with her any longer. I stayed behind to clean what she missed instead of getting food right away because I couldn't afford to have the apartment complex deduct anything from my deposit. I was given a break-down of what would be taken care of with the service I requested, and she didn't fulfill the service, such as cleaning the baseboards and ceiling fans. No cleaning products were used besides water, so my kitchen counters and the hood remained greasy and sticky. I could've wiped everything down with water by myself, especially given the amount of time I had waited. I thought that the cleaner would've done a better job to deep clean the apartment. Also, the cleaner used an incredibly large amount of water to mop the floor, and the bathroom floor, which she cleaned first, was still wet almost two hours later. She decided that she didn't have to ask whether she could use my bathroom or not, and she proceeded to use the bathroom at the end of the cleaning. This was so disrespectful. I reached out to the company and asked for either a refund or at least a good portion of payment back, and I was told that I had received the maximum discount of 25% off when I first booked the service. The 25% discount was for first time customer, so they shouldn't have mixed this with the poor service I received. I experienced loss wages due to the cleaner being almost 2 hours late, and I was physically ill from not being able to eat anything all day from having to wait around, but the company was unwilling to compensate me in any way. This is unacceptable. If the company can't handle the amount of work around the holidays, don't overbook customers. I could've looked for another company if I had known the service would be this bad. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with both the cleaning service and the customer support from Wave House Cleaning. On 12/19, my home was not cleaned properly. Several areas were clearly missed, and the quality did not meet expectations. I reached out to customer support immediately and provided photos showing the problem areas. I was told they were confirming with the manager and that someone would return the next day to re-clean the missed areas. No one showed up the next day. Since then, I have followed up at least seven times trying to get an update or a confirmed date for the re-clean. I either receive no response at all or get left on read when I ask when someone will be coming back. It is now 1/9, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. This is especially frustrating because they advertise a re-cleaning guarantee, which so far they have not honored. Mistakes can happen, but the complete lack of follow-through and communication is unacceptable. At this point, it feels like they are avoiding the issue instead of standing behind their service. I'm pretty bummed to write this negative review because I've had such positive experiences for a while and thought that I found regular cleaners for my home. The last time was such a letdown. The cleaner came multiple times before and did a great job but this last time was quite bad. She skipped cleaning a room altogether. There was still dust on the edges of the bathroom countertops. There were little pieces of trash lying around. On top of that, ran more than 30 minutes past the scheduled time with no communication. Days after as I'm looking around the house I see what a poor job was done. We did not inspect the work before paying the 20% tip, which I regret. My previous experience before this was a bit subpar compared to the usual work but thought we'd give it another chance to which we experienced even more disappointment. read more

The cleaning service we've received in the past when they've actually shown up was adequate and a good value. My 1-star review stems solely from their appointment booking system. Not sure what's going on over there, but the cleaners can never keep the agreed upon service arrival time, nor can they communicate with the customer that they're running late. This review is long overdue. I hired them to do a deep cleaning, but not only did they do a poor job, they didn't clean the oven and microwave (which was included in the service). They left the tape on the floor unremoved, and told me "it was impossible" to remove it. I ended up buying some spray bottle to remove it myself, and showed it to them. After some back and forth, they finally sent a second crew to do the rest of the cleaning. However they ended up charging me TWICE - see receipt . I suggest you double check your credit card. Not only that, they charged me $4 for parking - when the street parking is free!! I complained, and initially they had the gall to say they can't refund me, but can give me a credit for the next service . There isn't going to be a next service! It can be hit or miss with the cleaners you get. Sometimes you'll even get somebody who has obviously never cleaned in their life. We've had some good experiences with some of the cleaners but also some very bad. Our latest experience the woman asked me if I could advance her some money. She had only cleaned for us a couple times so it seemed very weird. Then she kept sending me texts messages nonstop for months asking me why we wouldn't let her clean for us anymore. It was very uncomfortable. Another time I heard a loud crash in the bathroom. When the cleaners left I noticed a big chip taken out of the sink. I talked to the manager about replacing or repairing the sink and she promised for months they would fix it and even said they had the replacement sink but now it's been over a year and nothing has happened. read more

This place is completely unprofessional and I've had nothing but problems with them. First of all, their booking system calendar is formatted in a way that it's easy to schedule the wrong day (who provides a monthly calendar but starts the week on Monday?), which I did twice. Fine, that's really annoying, but that's on me for not double-checking. I scheduled an arrival between 11am-12pm. They arrived at 2pm with no call that they would be late. My husband had somewhere to be that afternoon so he had to reschedule it because of their delay. The cleaning itself was good -- EXCEPT that, after my husband had given the three cleaners their tips and they left, he discovered that our bathroom mirror was totally SCRATCHED. There clearly must have been something in a rag or sponge and the entire mirror from top to bottom was noticeably scratched. He then discovered that they put the plastic bins in our fridge wrong and ended up cracking them. A huge window in the living room was also not cleaned even though I had added window cleaning. I reported all of this immediately, and they said they'd start an investigation. The next day, when I was at work and my husband was working from home, all three cleaners AND THEIR FAMILIES arrived to look at the damage. I had a 2-year-old child running around my house. NO ONE called us to ask us if this was okay or if we were even available at this time. They denied making the scratches in the mirror (an outright lie) and apologized for the fridge bin being cracked. They also cleaned the living room window, which honestly was the least of my problems at this point. I complained AGAIN for how unprofessional this was. They took over a week to get back to me, and offered a discount on a future service or a partial reimbursement. Absolutely not -- I have to replace the bathroom mirror, which is already about the price of the cleaning, plus the fridge bin, plus I never intend on using their services again. They agreed to a full refund which they said would arrive in my account in 3-5 days. 13 days later and no refund! I complained AGAIN and days later, they said the refund would arrive in my account 5-7 days later. By this point I already requested a chargeback from my credit card company. I'm sad to have to write this review because I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience was so awful with this company that I feel like I need to be honest and share. My first cleaning with them was fine. Not incredible, but not awful. I decided to sign up for the bi-weekly reoccurring cleanings for the reasonable price and convenience. I'm really upset I did. I came home after the second time to a very dirty apartment. Whoever cleaned barely vacuumed and they charged me extra to clean my blinds, which were left filthy. You can see in my photos. The worst part is how they chose to deal with it, or not deal with it. I was sure the bad cleaning was a one off and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I wrote multiple emails to give them the opportunity to at least refund me for the extra charge for the blinds that were never cleaned, but they never wrote me back. I've been looking for a reliable cleaning service for years now, and Wave has been exactly what I needed. I've been using their sister service Sitter 4 Paws for years for my cats (I'm obsessed and recommend to everyone), so I love that I can use them for taking care of my house as well. We set up recurring cleanings but can easily reschedule from the app in case our plans change. We've had 3 different cleaners for each of our cleans but they've all been quite solid and lovely. Don't use this service if you value your home or furniture. They ruined my Restoration Hardware coffee table. I specifically asked the crew to not use any harsh cleaners and they clearly did because my table was damaged. In addition to the damage, their customer service was terrible. When I contacted them about the issue, they refused to take responsibility and compensate me for the damage. They claimed that without video evidence, they couldn't prove that the damage was their fault. This is unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect better treatment and accountability from a company. What a ridiculous joke of a company. This place not only does a poor job in cleaning services but they're also shady and unprofessional. I thought my situation with this place was resolved but unfortunately, I have to give yet another update. So about a year ago, Wavehouse provided unsatisfactory service with a cleaning I had booked including carelessly damaging my roommate's property. After reading my review, they reached out to me and offered compensation in the form of an Amazon gift card and a free re-cleaning service to be booked at the date of my convenience. They also asked me to update my review which I upheld as you can see. This week, I tried to book the cleaning service that THEY offered to me. Instead, I was told that they weren't going to honor the service because they already gave us the Amazon gift card. The thing is, they were the ones who said they were going to give us the free re-cleaning service REGARDLESS which I thought was great customer service at the time. And they fed me some BS rule that their free re-cleanings must be booked within 24 hours and since my cleaning took place last year, they can't book it for me. NO WHERE IN THE INITIAL EMAIL WHERE THEY OFFERED ME THIS DID THEY WRITE OUT THESE TERMS. Either they made up this fake rule or they conveniently left that part out at the time they offered this to me. Sorry not sorry that I'm reinstating my original 1-star rating for this atrocious company. As you can see from many reviews here, a lot of people seemed to have had an initially poor experience with them. Seems like they do follow up with compensation to try to rectify the situation which is cool and all...if they actually would honor what they offer. Don't even bother taking the risk with this company when there are other cleaning services out there who would do a better job and not pull this bullcrap. I've also attached photos of my correspondence with them. You can see that: 1. In the first email, they offered me a re-cleaning free of charge at the date of my convenience. No where does it state that I have to book this re-cleaning service within 24 hours. 3. Super inconsistent. I've used Wave about 6x this year and had 1 crew that did a great job and after the last poor job, I requested her and team a month out. The scheduled day, no one showed so I called and they said they'd have my requested team available in a couple of hours so I rearraned my schedule only to have a different crew show up. Well, this crew was even worse than the last. Kitchen looked untouched - counters were still unwiped and corners had crumbs. Stove top was untouched, same with appliances. Sink was maybe rinsed off? I just used a clorox wipe and it did the trick -- is that not simple enough for a PROFESSIONAL cleaning crew to do? Stairs were left dusty, same with bathroom floors. I honestly was hoping to relieve some time/energy by paying professionals, but I am spending MORE time/energy cleaning up after them and then filing this review and asking for a refund. read more
