Jimmy's on the Edge Review We came here for dinner, and to be honest, I wasn't sold from the moment we sat down. The overall vibe just wasn't for me, and I wasn't sure the food was going to be very good. The person I was with chose the restaurant, though, so I went along with it. Service: Our server was excellent. She was attentive, checked on us frequently, and made sure our drinks stayed full and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Atmosphere: The restaurant is located on a rooftop with an open-air setting and a DJ playing music. It's a very casual, laid-back spot with nice views, but it's definitely not somewhere I'd consider upscale or memorable. Food: We ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with fries, and that was the highlight of the meal. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right. I really have no complaints about it. We also ordered the birria tacos, and they were a huge disappointment. When I order birria tacos, I expect crispy tacos filled with beef and melted cheese, served with a cup of rich consommé for dipping. Instead, these came on soft flour tortillas with shredded beef, corn, black beans, and other toppings, with no consommé. The beef was also very dry. It wasn't at all what I expected, and it's not something I'd ever order again. Overall: While the service was great and the chicken sandwich was enjoyable, the disappointing birria tacos and the overall atmosphere just weren't enough to make me want to return. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that I'd choose before coming back, so this isn't a place I'd personally recommend. read more

Stayed at the edge hotel with the glass wall pool on the gulf. This bar is attached and at the rooftop. Such great views of South Beach are of clearwater beach. Had some appetizers and cocktails and listened to an awesome one man band! Service was super fast always took care of us quick! read more

Very nice location, but very disappointing food and service. We had a chicken rice bowl that was supposed to have chicken and queso and pico de gallo. We got a bowl of chicken and rice and nothing else when we complained. They came back after the bland, chicken and rice and offered to give us one to go, by the time they came back to our table to address our issue we were done eating at the time. My boyfriend ate half of my cheeseburger because his food was so bad and my other friend barely ate anything because she had to chopped up little pieces of chicken with no flavor and no condiments! Even after complaining, nobody cares there is nobody here in the restaurant and they still did not address our issue. There are too many places to eat in Clearwater do yourself a favor... avoid this one.! read more

I've been here so many times just to watch the sunset and have cocktails. I've ordered food before but unfortunately the server took so long and by the time our food came it was cold. I ordered the nachos and was disappointed. I probably would've liked it but it was very cold. The sunsets are breath taking! If you're looking for a great place to hang in Clearwater with a view. Jimmy's had made it to one of my top spots.Located on the 10th floor of the Edge Hotel, you are provided with beautiful, scenic, panoramic views, a great music playlist, delicious food and who doesn't look a free fireball shot at 9pm??? Let me just say the bowls are amazing. I chose the snapper bowl and added shrimp. Oommmmmmg. I highly recommend. There was $7 drink sowcial going on and I tried the watermelon wave which was over. I did love the cucumber mojito. After eating we moved from the high table to more comfortable lounge chairs and spent time relaxing until the fireball countdown. read more

Horrible food and experience. We ordered wings and mahi sandwich by the pool. Both tasted horrible and whoever called it a sandwich needs to be trained. It is deceiving. Lovely 360 views of the beach ocean and Clearwater!! The food was great for Jimmy's to be more of a bar environment I was happily surprised with my shrimp rice bowl and I added fish. The buffalo chicken dip was also creamy and flavorful, our server was sweet, answered all of our questions and made some good suggestions. I would definitely return, it's a large patio setting with outside games and they offer fireball shots at 9pm. read more

Came here for the scenic view and to take birthday shots with a friend. The rooftop pool is currently under construction but the waitress said it should be up in a month or so. The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view and the mudslide drink was wonderful It was a bit breezy so they had an open fire to warm us up. I ordered the mozzarella sticks and they were wrapped in wonton paper rather than regular breading. They were delicious. The pesto wings were weird texture wise and weren't good or bad. They were just okay. The shrimp was really good. I'd order it again. Small but they were an appetizer so it wasn't that big of a deal. The buffalo wings were only okay. Maybe wings aren't their specialty. This is an amazing place to go for a date and I'd imagine that nighttime would be amazing, with the nighttime skyline view. read more

First off I would say the food is amazing except for the mac & cheese do not order that because it's like crafts don't get it however, Kate is amazing. She is the best server ever. She is the psychic of the group because she told us to move up under before it started raining and she knew when it was coming, but obvious is a whole, live music. Don't waste your time or, most importantly, your MONEY!!! We bought tickets to Sinatra Under the Stars! $45 per ticket! Really looking forward to a class act. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We had to pay $20 to park, and was told that was a $10 discount! The "singer" was terrible. Not a trace of Sinatra! Surely, they could have found someone that sounded somewhat like Sinatra! The food was way over priced, looked like frozen food, very small portions. Service was poor and slow. We ordered drinks at 6pm, and didn't receive them until 6:30. This could have been such a great experience. To summarize: We paid $200 for an hour's worth of terrible food and really poor entertainment! DON'T waste your money!!! read more

Think sandwich/burger joint if you want to try this place. A limited menu of basic foods that don't require utensils. The sunset view is great though. I guess it's worth the trip once to get good pics. We ordered the chicken bowl and the classic Cuban sandwich. Both were good. My wife really liked the chicken bowl. The view is the only thing bringing this up to a 2 star review! Was an amazing view, but everything else was terrible. Service was so poor and Food was close to inedible. Our server might have visited the table twice. She was rude, acted too busy for us. Keep in mind, we were the only table, and four were sitting at the bar. She even said "she's annoying like my daughter" about one of our babies. Absolutely don't recommend this place, and paying as much as we did when we could have been more satisfied at a Mcdonald's. I am a very understanding person, and normally don't write reviews, but this was unacceptable service. Never got refills. We were there well before closing, and one in the party asked for a few extra minutes (at about 9:05) to place his order. She never came back to take his order. By the time she did kitchen was closed. Never got sauce we asked for. Food was too hard for us to even eat. Some food was made entirely wrong than how we ordered. It just was very disappointing. We won't be returning. Our party spent a combined couple hundred for us all to be completely dissatisfied. Our servers attitude at the end was so terrible, and we tried to keep it as classy and respectful as we can. Believe me, this week has been full of tragedy and loss for our family, so I get that some people can just have bad days, but there's still an expectation for good service, good tasting food, and a good atmosphere. Love this gorgeous view but my aversions to Clearwater Beach had not outweighed my visits until recently. My royal court and I so loved visiting the eagles nest, high above the street below looking down on the red pirate ship. Ray is trying his best to keep the crowd controlled I'm sure. He is so rude without necessity. It's funny I came up in the elevator to find a patron trying to fight him for offending his wife. We came here because it was right next to our hotel, and we loved it! The staff is friendly, the view is incredible, and the food and drinks are great! Our bartenders were flawless, and the live band was amazing. The crab dip could use a little help but we're also originally from Maryland, so our expectations were probably a little higher than the average Joe. I attended a tribute to Jimmy Buffet concert on 9/14/23. Was told by waitress that EVERYONE must open a tab with a credit/debit card in order to order drinks/food. I informed her I'd be paying cash. Was told it's the rule. After reviewing my tab of $39.48 I gave waitress $48 to cover food/drinks and tip. Received credit card bill from Jimm's on the Edge totalling $48.00 After many attempts to reach "Mike" he called me 4 days later to tell me their establishment cannot alter their billing cycles after the next day of the occurrence. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from Jimmys after reading some of the reviews. However, the views seemed undeniable and I was looking for something chill by the beach for lunch that I hadn't tried. Something that wasn't right by the pier and all the craziness. Jimmy's was perfect I have to say, no complaints here! The view was amazing, the service was good, the prices were reasonable and my food and drinks were really good. Other than the parking situation which exists for all of Clearwater Beach I would love to come back! If you aren't cheap like me and feel like paying $20 to park at the Hotel instead of looking for parking or walking, that is always an option. Most of the rooftop is covered and you get that nice breeze so it would be perfect on a hot summer day. For this Floridian, at 74 degrees and in the shade it was a little chilly but bring a light sweater or jacket and it's perfect. There are also options to sit in the sun if you choose Now for the food.... I had the shredded pork mojito bowl and it was excellent. This place has a great location, and an amazing outdoor terrace with ocean view. I was lucky to be there at sunset time and witnessed a beautiful sunset. I ordered the hurricane burger which is listed as one of the restaurant favorites, only to be disappointed by the taste, and this is why I'm giving it 3 starts. It was bland, and lacked taste in general, and felt as if I was eating plain ground beef without any kind of condiments. The crab dip was really good, although I couldn't taste the crab, it was mostly cheese but tasted good nonetheless. I had to complain that there was cigar smoke coming from the open windows at the bar, the manager asked the person to please go somewhere else to smoke and it stoped for a little bit, but then we smelled it again and that was not pleasant while eating. read more

They didn't have staff to serve any food They serve drinks drinks were watered down which is kind of common on Clearwater Beach You're better off going to a liquor store and just making your own drinks definitely for the price that they charge for a cocktails read more
