Amazing sushi rolls and friendly wait staff. Been here several times and haven't been disappointed yet. I have several favorites, but have to push myself to try new dishes. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend.

Went there as I was craving sushi and the employee seated us right away!!! The employee was super nice and even gave us some recommendations to try!! Their Kani salad is superb and their sushi rolls amazing!! The udon was super filling and tasty!! I loved that they included shiitake mushrooms as they have a different umami taste than regular portobello mushrooms other places use!! The service was amazing, staff was welcoming, and the place had so many cute decorations.

Great place and great food! We can't wait to go back and try more scrumptious food. If you haven't tried it, we recommend you do! Delightful food from the rolls to the dishes and deserts! Next time we will try the Cold Saki Drinks!

2 rainbow rolls in front, 1 imperial roll in the back

Welcome Wave Sushi to Magnolia. We need to be very patient as they work out the kinks every restaurant has upon opening. I don't think they were expecting such high demand for sushi in our humble town. The front row is actually 2 rainbow rolls and the back row is the imperial roll. I think they mixed the Toppings up but it was very fresh and delicious. I hope they have 2 waitresses next time because we will definitely be returning. Thank you Wave sushi! Congratulations on your grand opening!

Absolutely loved this place! There was a small wait for a…read moretable, as the place was full at 8:45pm on a Friday. Two of us shared five items and spent a total of $59. All three rolls tasted great and had their own distinct flavor profile. The chicken dish was not my favorite, but came out piping hot, which was perfect! The spicy edamame appetizer I didn't care for very much, as I prefer them to be tossed in a chili oil instead of siracha sauce. Great decor that fits the restaurants vibe, service was friendly and timely, and the food hit the spot. We left feeling very full :)

Great spot in the Cypress area!…read more The food was great! I don't think I had anything that I didn't like. I tried a few of my wife's sushi, chicken skewers, and some kind of dumplings she ordered, and I had the sizzling bulgogi kimchi plate. My plate came with a salad, which I wish came in a slightly bigger bowl, as it was starting to fall out. The bulgogi kimchi plate was delicious. There was a good amount of beef, and the crispy--possibly garlic or onions on top was a great addition. The amount of food on the plate was just right. I couldn't give it a full 5 stars because the service was only good when the server was actually there. I think there were 2, maybe 3 servers, with the restaurant about 70% full. We took some extra time to order, but it also took a while for someone to come back and take our order. It took a while to get a refill, and there were noticeable delays whenever we needed a server. The sushi had way too much sauce on it. It was overpowering the taste of the fish. Check the pic.

The ambiance was top tier - which I wasn't expecting. You can tell a lot of locals dine here. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The menu is quite extensive. I feel there's something for everyone - including children. Because my children have a LIMITED PALETTE! There was nothing appealing for my three year old. However my five year did enjoy a plate of garlic noodles with chopsticks- she is a pro at this point. Yes, they have chopstick helpers for beginners. As for the adults, I had the the Lychee martini (cold and refreshing), spicy soup, two hand rolls (tuna and yellow tail). My husband ordered the Salmon hibachi, and the miso soup (which was fantastic). I will definitely be ordering this next time. He also ordered a specialty roll - don't ask me which one. I can't remember - it was deep fried and he was happy with it. Overall we had a lovely experience here. I look forward to coming back here

We visited this location for a birthday dinner. We did teppenyaki and got steak, salmon, and…read morechicken dinners, along with a Shogun roll and a yellowtail hand roll. I got green tea for a beverage. Finished with a mango sorbet and a mud pie. The meal started with salad with ginger dressing and onion soup. The dressing was fine, and I prefer onion soup to miso, so we were off to a decent start. The teppenyaki show was pretty basic, some fun stuff but not particularly advanced. Shogun's teppenyaki is all seasoned mainly with teriyaki sauce. All of our food was a bit overdone, not a lot but enough to notice. Vegetables were fine. We got the fried rice, which is more fun since it's prepared in front of us, but it was just fried rice and eggs and ended up very sticky. I didn't eat much of mine. The yellowtail roll was ok, the flavor did not jump out but it was good with soy sauce. The sushi was also just OK, the flavors kind of run together. Not a lot of crunch for a crunchy roll. We got our shrimp appetizer last because one of our party had a seafood allergy and they do the shrimp separately if you ask, which is good. The shrimp were prepared just right. The mango sorbet was probably the best thing about the meal. The sorbet is tasty and it's served attractively in a halved mango. I can recommend that. The mud pie is a purchased frozen dessert but it was good. Service was fine, the server was attentive and helpful and the chef did his bit competently. The overall impression I got about the place is that it's tired. The decor is very simple and hasn't been updated in awhile--everthing is brown. The wallpaper was installed some time ago with obvious seams. It is showing wear in several places. The bathroom was reasonably clean but the urinal had flushing difficulty. What the place needs is a makeover, from the decor to the menu to the teppenyaki presentation. It's acceptable but I've had better teppenyaki in several places.
