we got a few things - pesto croissant, lemonblueberry cake, sausage burrito, a homer donut and lastly, a cinnamon roll the burrito was okay - they are packed and ready to go. you simply picked a burrito you want and they microwaved it. i wish it was baked instead of microwaved. and course, because they are pre made, you cannot add or remove anything on it. the taste was okay. probably not order again ... maybe...if i were to get burrito again, i would get the bacon one to try again lol my partner got the pesto croissant and that was actually really delicious! would def. get it again the lemon blueberry cake was really good too! have not tried the homer donut or the cinnamon roll yet, but i'm sure they are great. the desserts seem to be a hit here. the young girl at the register and the only working was really nice :) would come again here! everything is 100% GF! there is even a table outside the place that tells people that only gluten feee food can be eaten there! haha read more

$9 (!) for a dry "rasberry cream cheese" croissant that had ZERO cream cheese and very little raspberry gel filling. Don't waste your money here on that. Haven't tried a cinnamon roll here in a long time, but found it so dry and crumbly that it was mostly inedible. The sweet breakfast breads are not too bad, some are overly sweet though. Unfortunately, most items here look way better than they taste! Unfortunately, they are the only gluten free bakery on this side of town. Moore. Cafe and Bakery (100% gluten free) is way better, but pretty far North for me to go to often. read more

People say that if you remove gluten from your diet your body will be completely different; this might be so if you are gluten intolerant or not. I thus occasionally wonder as to how much of gluten I intake daily where I am consuming way too much or moderately...For that matter, I certainly appreciate a store like this. On my way to get home from a morning errand in this neighborhood today, I spotted this shop driving on northbound Holly. I made a sudden right turn to get to this shop being so inconsiderate to other drivers (lol; we Yelp Elites all do that as we are on a lookout for great businesses 24/7!!!) This is a quaint neighborhood bakery specializing in gluten free baked goods. Its existence is very humble as if to say that it doesn't want to be over the top. Its interior is somewhat old fashioned/school where nothing is fancy but I like the way it is (so stay that way, please!) The selection of baked goods from sweet to savory is quite extensive. It's a nice place to stop for a cup of coffee with a pastry or two as long as you happen to be in the neighborhood (this store lures you as if you're not allowed to go to those big chains.) What I got today were Lil Devils (Pig in a Blanket), a cannoli and a doppio. They came to $16 with some change. Not bad. All of them tasted like something without gluten (except the double espresso!!) The savory one was quite the size and dense on the outside. Cannoli had a good amount of cream inside; the outer layer wasn't as crispy as the traditional non-gluten ones but it was solid enough to hold the cream inside it. Pretty yummy! We used Wave the Grain to cater our wedding and it was a wonderful experience. I (the bride) have celiac disease, and need to be strictly gluten-free--it was such a relief to have a completely gluten-free wedding. They were very helpful and communicative by email, and the food was absolutely delicious!! They also decorated the cake to match my dress :) I always drop by for a sweet treat whenever I'm nearby. I'm so disappointed when I started coming here 3 years ago this bakery was a game changer for gluten free goodies. Little by little they have started to disappoint. Today was the final blow. We LOVE the Boston Cream Pie and the Lemon Blueberry so much so that two years in a row my birthday cake was the lemon blueberry cake. I dropped some goodies at home and when I came back the Mr. had only eaten half of his when I looked I saw why... there was no filling there had only been a dollop of "filling" and the "cupcake" was more of a resemblance of a bran muffin. So I cut open the Lemon Blueberry and it was the same thing. I had dropped a package of these off to a friend that is going through a difficult time who has never tried these and now I'm mortified that I gave her a disappointment as a treat. These are not for the faint of hearts either on the cost. I'm truly disappointed and shortening your customers experience is not the way to save costs. This bakery came highly recommended by a family member. Placed an order on tuesday for a friday pick-up. BIg day - my wife's birthday. Order page had a requirement for both e-mail and phone. Upon submitting submitting the order, I received and order confirmation number. Also received and e-mail confirmation. Show up Friday, no cake. Girl at the counter asked if I had called after placing the order. I said no, I had a confirmation number. She said that the order had not actually been confirmed, and that the e-mail stated that, and that i needed to respond to complete the order. I left, went home, checked the e-mail. No such instructions in the e-mail - it was just a standard confirmation e-mail. Never received any text on the phone through all of this. The worst part is BS just to get me to leave after they made the mistake. Should have admitted the error, offered to re-schedule the order. I guess that is just too much work. There's a new Gluten Free bakery in town and WOW are they amazing! Cookies, macaroons, cupcakes pies and even cakes to order! Your gluten free dreams have all come true in one location! They were sold out of cinnamon rolls by the time I got there and I heard rumor they will be doing breakfast burritos soon. Nestled in a shopping center at County Line & Holly it offers sweet treats for those who either can't or don't want to eat gluten. A few tables to sit and enjoy your selections. It will be fun to see this place really come to life. Right now the selections are selling out quickly while they ramp up. They had donuts, brownies, cupcakes, pies, dessert breads, cinnamon rolls, cookies - all gluten free, dairy free....then some that were also soy free, potato free, corn free, egg free, and vegan. They also sold gluten free, dairy free boxed goods...like pasta, muffin mix, instant soups, etc. I thought I was in heaven when I walked in. The presentation was great and everything looked delicious, but everything wasn't as good as it looked.... The cinnamon roll tasted like it was sitting out for a week. It was hard to cut even. I put it in the microwave and it made it a little softer, but not much. (It looked beautiful though) The donuts that I got were dry....also don't think they were fresh. I still have yet to try the brownies I got, but I am not optimistic. Although I wonder if the cinnamon rolls and donuts I got were just bad choices. There seemed to be some regulars coming in, but no one ordered cinnamon rolls or the donuts I got...one was asking for croissants (which they didn't have), and the other I believe a chocolate donut (but not 100% sure). I am giving this establishment a three because of the super friendly people and the effort to make "healthier" baked goods, but I think they still have a way to go. I think I would recommend making less variety and focus on making and selling less items (as far as variety goes, not quantity), but fresher items. read more

My whole family LOVED the little cake and the muffins I brought home Edit! I was down in the area again, so I popped back in for some more goodies for the family. Unfortunately, since Allyson sold Wave the Grain 9-ish months ago, the quality of the food has gone down. I remember thinking to myself one day a few months back that the cinnamon rolls used to be bigger and the cinnamon didn't have a bitter flavor. My stomach would also always get upset every time I'd eat something there for the past 9 months. I brushed it off at first, but after a while decided enough was enough. After inquiring a bit at the store, I found that Allyson had sold it and was sorely disappointed after finding out this information. My gut (literally) knew something was amiss. Due to my stomach always getting upset now after eating anything from the shop, I will no longer be going there. The service is still good and the people who work there are very nice, but it's not worth it when the recipes have seemingly changed. I knew when I spoke with her that it was going to be great! On the original delivery date, there was a winter storm and Kristin took the time to call me and explain what was happening. A bit ago we went on a search for gluten-free bakery items. From place to place. Looked high and low. Back then we were so disappointed. So you can imagine our delight when we found this place. We tried their GF sourdough bread. Delicious! We just picked up a seed bread loaf and I can't wait to try it out. They also have really nice strawberry preserves and this time picked up a triple berry preserves. They have cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, mini-cakes, tiffany bars, ... even gluten free pasta bags to take home to cook. I was so pleased to find a gluten-free bakery on my side of town. As someone who was just diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder I've been trying to stay away from gluten when possible because it really makes me feel poorly and comes with physical side effects that aren't worth it. I also like the convenience because purchasing all of different flours (coconut flour, almond flour etc) can be very expensive if you don't bake that often. When the craving for something sweet hits and I don't want to make it myself, this is the first place I come. They have a nice variety of treats, breads, muffins and sweet items. I appreciate that it's low keep, not fussy and very reasonably priced. Its a relief to have a local place that keeps things simple. The first time I went to Wave the Grain, I went a little crazy! I got so many different cookies and cinnamon buns. The cookies were really good. Everyone loved them. The kids always ask can we go back and get more. The cinnamon buns were ok. I ate one of them cold and didn't love it. I heated another in the microwave for a few seconds and it was really good warm. The icing on them was really good too. I love how many different gluten free and vegan desserts they have. They also are usually having a sale or have some items discounted, which is great when you really need to stock up or have a big family like me. read more
