I ordered a kid's meal and most of the toppings I request was omitted, such as the tomatoes, onions and spinach

Visiting area for the weekend and stopped in as we had a hankering for burgers and wanted to dine…read morewith one of the local establishments vs a chain. As we drove up, It looked abandoned but had an open sign and then I noticed someone waiting (for a to go order) inside so we took a chance and went in to give it a try. I was starving and hadn't had anything to eat all day and it was 2pm. We ordered a few things including the BBQ Bulls eye burger, the Cordon Blue Burger (subbed beef patty) and the Fat Elvis which supposedly had gyro meat, cheesesteak, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks all on French bread/sub loaf. Also ordered seasoned fries with fry sauce. The Fat Elvis was actually interesting and decent, BUT again, I was starving. If I weren't starving, I think the sandwich would have been just ok. Not bad, but just ok. Also, I believe they actually made me the Fat Daddy vs the Elvis because I didn't see a trace of any gyro meat. The Bullseye burger was good according to my lunch buddy and he said he'd come back and dine again. He's a fan of anything with BBQ sauce so I'm not surprised. The Cordon Blue burger was just ok. Nothing special about the burger at all. The fries were just ok, nothing special at all and the Fry sauce didn't help make them taste any better. Burger was auto cooked to Medium plus but I was never asked what temperature I preferred. Maybe I looked like a "medium plus guy" - well they got lucky today! Now a couple of extra things: the pop machine was broken/down, no water options and one of their bathrooms was out of order. The internal/external ambiance is not welcoming or inviting at all. The server who took my order, didn't appear familiar with the menu and was clueless about several of the sandwiches on the menu which was odd and not helpful. I think this place would be benefit from a little sprucing up on the outside and inside, including ensure water is available for purchase and getting their machines and bathrooms working properly. All that said, I'm not sure my experience today would compel me return.

The food was sub-par and when I ordered a fat sandwich it came with 3 fries, half of a chicken tender and 2 mozzarella sticks. So ridiculous I got my money back. Would recommend finding ANYWHERE else but here. 30 burgers should do an audit of this place. Workers were not rude but had zero hospitality.

We ordered over the phone and weren't told, and there's no clear signage when you walk in. You only find out when it's time to pay. In 2025, in New Jersey, that's a frustrating surprise--especially when you can also order through DoorDash. It just doesn't make sense. As for the food, we ordered a couple of Italian subs and a BLT with extra bacon. The Italians had soggy lettuce and maybe two slices of lunch meat--not what you'd expect from a deli. The BLT, despite asking for extra bacon, came with just two strips. Overall, everything was mediocre at best. I appreciate small businesses and want to see them thrive, but between the lack of communication and underwhelming food, it's hard to recommend without some improvements. We're back next week to finish a job and will try again, maybe they had they had the rookies in there today.

Tiny little spot with barely enough room to think haha, but a huge menu and really friendly employees. Decided to go with "The Super" and "The Shack Special" The super is their version of an Italian. Got it dressed with LTO, oil and vinegar, and oregano. The roll was softer than I normally like for an Italian but it was very fresh and still held together nicely. I didn't eat half of this til just now (maybe 4 hours later) and it still wasn't a sloppy mess. The Shack Special was Roast beef, Turkey breast, Swiss, lettuce, tomato, and Russian dressing. These communists and their salad dressing...tastes good on everything. Again the meats were super fresh and the same roll for this one. I grabbed both to take a few bites for a video and I packaged this one up for my gf and I kept the Italian. These are both half sandwiches and they're bigger than most full size subs from anywhere. Cost for both of these total was around $16. No brainer here - Sub Shack - Didn't Suck!

This Popeyes location just opened a week or two ago so we dropped by to check it out. My kids said…read moretheir $11(!) chicken sandwiches were "okay." We tried a bite of the cole slaw but felt it was way too sweet & too soupy. I also thought my chicken tenders were a bit pale, limp, & undercooked. Definitely not "golden brown" let alone crunchy. Also really disappointed by how stingy this joint was with the sauce packets-- only ONE little packet of sauce comes with the chicken fingers? UPDATE: I actually just checked the official online menu and it says customers are supposed to get TWO sauce packets with an order of chicken fingers but the manager kept insisting I would have to pay almost a DOLLAR (88 cents) for another sauce. I can't believe you expect your customers to spend TWELVE DOLLARS for a few skinny little pieces of limp fried chicken and then you guys have the audacity to nickel-and-dime us for another pouch of flavored goo? All in all, it felt like eating in an airport: utterly generic and egregiously overpriced. This is me reminding myself I know how to double-fry chicken myself at home because, next time, I will. I do want to end on a positive note so I will say that I really love the particular shade of orange that Popeyes uses for its branding. "Love that [orange] from Popeyes!"
