really disappointing customer service. I ordered one small side and waited 20 minutes to receive it because all of the employees behind the counter were not paying attention to the customers. I am a regular customer at Wawa and i've never experienced such bad customer service. the employees cared more about talking to each other than paying attention to what was happening, 5 orders sat on the counter and got cold without them calling the numbers but no one wanted to risk touching the wrong order due to covid-19. read more

The worst thing about this Wawa is that I keep passing its exit on Route 80 when I want to stop there. No signs, no nothing ... you only see its distinctive white awning once you're too late to make the off-ramp! I end up circling around & driving weird back roads & making wonky U-turns just to get there, because I need gas, man! Buuuut, the best thing about this Wawa is that it's a Wawa. Even though I'm born & raised in North Jersey, I sure do love me a Wawa. The gas is cheap, the attendants are super friendly, and the store is always clean & lovely. If a gas station charges the same price for cash or credit, then it's going to automatically get 3 stars from me. Now if the same gas station also provides free air for your tires, well then that deserves an extra star all by itself. Wawa can be counted on for the lowest prices in the gas game. They also have a well-stocked convenience store complete with a full service deli counter (open 24 hours). The restrooms are in good shape too. My only gripe; where is the Snapple Orangeade???? They brought Wawa back to Northern New Jersey? Not sure of how many of you remember the one that was near the old Giant's Stadium back in the day! Regardless, they are in a great spot. That great spot is also a tricky spot to park in. I've been here a few times, not always at the same time, and the coffee is always good. Sandwiches are made to order, and they have a better selection than some other competitor in the area. It does take them some time to get your order done at lunch time, but that's normal when there are other people ahead of you. Definitely will return! Thank God, they finally opened a Wawa in North Jersey. I always preferred Wawa to Quickchek anyways. This is great. I think their sandwich selection is much better and they have pancakes at any hour. Wawa's remind me of my childhood visiting my family in Philly and my college days where I had a Wawa close to my dorm. I never had a Wawa close to my home, so when we heard there was one opening in Hackensack (20 mins from me), you betcha I would be making the 20 minute drive (passing probably hundreds of 711's) just to get to my beloved Wawa. Wawa is a super clean and smart convenient store. You can go in there order a delicious sandwich, side of pasta salad/macaroni and cheeses, and other items without even speaking to anyone because of their awesome ordering/computer system. With being practically brand new, it's very clean... very bright since all the lights work, and they also has a reserved parking spot for filling up your tires with, ready for this folks... Though I know some Wanaque fanatics, I've never been much of a fan. I went to this location this morning when two bagel stores were closed. The line was long with 8+ people and only one cashier and the floors were really dirty. My bagel tastes like a Lender's previously frozen bagel, nothing at all like one that I would get in a bagel store. My tuna sandwich was pretty good but not cheap at $6.99. Located right between route 17 and 80, this location is very convenient for commuters. Gas prices are very low compared to the local competition, which only improves the overall experience. The whole building is less than a year old, so everything is in good condition. The coffee bar is kept neat and well stocked. The deli is above average for convenience food stores, but average at best compared to other Wawa locations. They aren't slow, but it's very frustrating to be pulling out of the parking lot to find that they either don't know or don't care that a 'warm' bagel is not the same thing as a 'toasted' bagel. But then again, it's a chain deli, so I shouldn't expect too much from them. Free ATM provided by PNC. Convenient in all aspects. read more

i went to wawa in lodi to get gas 8/14/20 it was closed. i called the store today & was told that the store is closed, buy it is open for gas. i asked why are you closed, the answer was " i cannot tell you " this is the worst situation we are in this is not a hippa situation , where i ask for example who has the corona virus. i should have been told there is a virus situation that is why we closed. thank you be transparent, tell the truth, so if you are closed because someone has corona virus i can be tested because maybe i shop in this wawa every day. this is a good reason not to shop in wawa, unless you don't care about being alive read more

I must say I am a bit disappointed with the service at this location. Every time I have been here, no matter what time of day, they seem to be understaffed. Only one person working the sandwich station at lunch? Absolutely unheard of. All other Wawa's I have been to have had at least 5 or 6 people making sandwiches at any given time. Another gripe I have is that the line is always long because they only have one person at the register. Also, the case that has breakfast/lunch bites at the register is always empty. Other than the staffing/service issues, this is just like that of any other Wawa convenience store, good for grabbing quick munchies. Cheap gas is also always a plus. read more

Finally, Wawa arrives in the North Jersey area. Just one more reason for me to finally let go of my Hudson County roots and settle in to my new Bergen County life. Went to Wawas on a Saturday afternoon - it was packed! But they were quick got my out in less than ten mins. I ordered two sandwhiches - a meatbull sub and an Italian. I was disappointed that they didn't offer Fresh mozz for my Italian and I didn't toast it - so i was not as happy as I normally had been in my Wawas past. Popp'ed in here on Sunday night for a iced coffee with Hazelnut syrup before going home. I have been in many Wawas over the years and love the set up,the food ordering system and the variation of food that can be ordered. Lodi Wawa only opened last Friday, the growing pains are evident but they are working on improvement. I ordered my iced coffee and waited for 15ish minutes while it was prepared. No one knew where I should be waiting, there was a fly buzzing around inside the doughnut case on the counter. There were many, many employees working the other night but most of them looked like they were just running around aimlessly. When I received my coffee there was no milk and barely any hazelnut syrup ( I requested a double shot while ordering ) I love Wawa the brand, and know this location will be successful. I will be stopping here frequently.. As soon as they get up to speed. Please bring more Wawas to Bergen County! read more

I have never seen such a large crowd waiting for food at Wawa. I figured " i'm going to be here a while." I expected a wait up at least 15 to 20 minutes to about half an hour. You know how long it took? Five minutes. Told the manager how much I appreciated that. I'm sure it made his day. This place is on top of its game for sure! Everything came out as usual fresh and delicious. NB: Some of the negative reviews are so petty, reflective of our society. A religious disagreement, and burned roll? Use your voice and speak up. What Wawa did, and the quality they maintain, is something that many other businesses, especially the gas station quick marts need to learn from. Every time I pass by Wawa, I just need to stop and buy something. What they did is no less than impressive, starting with always high quality coffee, through their "make your own" sandwich. Everything is always clean, always fresh and always delicious. With very reasonable prices. Which makes them my preferred stooping location when driving. Their Colombian Coffee is great, in the quality of a coffee shop (And I think after trying so many, they may offer the best coffee in a gas station in NJ). The checkout process is very quick, and all those things makes Wawa to a place you actually enjoy to sop, because you know you will get something good. read more

It's ok. But they need to focus a lot more on cleaning the place. The floors are often visibly dirty and the shelves where the cold snacks are kept are also in need of a good soak. OH how i LOVE wawa!!!! WAWA was first introduced to me when i was a kid going down to Cape May with my family. My mother and I had a new found love because of their items we just didn't have up north and awesome hoagie making and coffee selection. I couldn't wait till our next trip down just to stop at WaWa. Also i found that WaWa brand ice tea was better than any big name brand i ever had.... Over the years and different travels i got to stop at Wawa more and more as i got older, and found i loved everything about this place other than we didn't have any where i lived, which was a disappointment. Lucky southerners. WELL--- a decade later i see an empty lot near my job and a sign saying "coming soon WAWA" i couldn't believe my eyes, i waited everyday passing this lot watching this soon to be amazing place being built. i counted down the days! My friends laughed cause of my excitement, but i knew they would be just as excited once they had wawa in their reach too. Now i have a Wawa 5 minutes away from me. I find it best for a nice quick lunch, or for a great coffee in the morning. Even the best late night spot for some drunk munchies. OH how i love WAWA!! read more

I'm usually reluctant to post poor reviews of businesses, but I'm compelled to post this one for a company as established and fabled as Wawa. I was very excited when I found out that they were opening a store in Bergen County. However, my excitement has turned to disappointment based on my two visits to this store. The first time I visited was a few days after they opened, late in the afternoon. The place was extremely busy, and the help was inadequate for the crowds. Having limited time, I decided to just grab a half gallon of peach iced tea. OK, the tea was good, but it was pretty much the same price as other name brand teas. I thought the Wawa brand would be cheaper. Nope. It also wasn't too comforting to see a whole bunch of teenagers loitering in the parking lot, making a whole lot of noise. I returned a second time, and the good news was that this time there weren't any teens loitering in the lot. The bad news was just about everything else. The place was once again a circus, and the store's help was woefully inadequate. The touchscreen kiosks are confusing to use, and there's no one to ask for help. The kiosks have card readers, but you can't pay there. You have to wait for you order and then have a cashier ring up your order. So why have card readers on the kiosks? My order was fairly simple, and yet it took, get this, a HALF HOUR to receive it. Worse, the drinks were ready about fifteen minutes before the food, so the coffee was getting cold and the smoothie was melting while I had to wait another fifteen minutes for the food. Here's another ding on the place, even though it didn't affect me personally: they ran out of lettuce. The staff had to apologize to everyone who ordered sandwiches with lettuce. How on earth do you run out of lettuce at noon? Why didn't the manager send someone out to get some lettuce and one of the plenty of nearby food stores when the supply was running low? That seemed absolutely ridiculous to me. I'm giving the place two stars only because the products they offer seem to be of decent quality. I especially enjoyed the peach iced tea and their mac & cheese. However, it's going to take more than good iced tea and mac & cheese to get me to return to this Wawa. The experience of shopping here is so maddening, that it's not worth the hassle. I will not be returning anytime soon. However, if they get their act together, I'll be glad to give them another shot a few months down the road and update this review if necessary. read more

Very convenient location to get gas, something to eat, or quick food shopping. Gas attendants are friendly. Price is competitive, even with the other stations just down the street. Food is good too. My only complaint is that the parking lot is so busy with cars and people that it's tight to navigate through. Be careful and drive slowly. 11/24 *update*: they have free air for your tires! Negative is that it's only 1 machine which gets very busy but for free air it's worth the wait. read more

Damn! I stopped at Wawa today for the first time. I ordered a tuna hero which was the best tuna hero I've had in a long time. Service was fast and accurate. Only downfall is little to no parking for trucks or buses(very cramped). I will be definitely going back soon! read more

I have always loved and enjoyed the mocha mint iced coffee at Wawa since the very first time I tried it. I was so happy when a Wawa opened up near my house so that I could enjoy a mocha mint iced coffee each and every day. Recently Wawa has discontinued the mocha mint iced coffee and it has created a deep dark abyss that has been dragging me into a deep depression. Mornings will never be the same. My love for Wawa will never be the same. My life will never be the same. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. i'd give it 2.5 stars but this is not an option. WAWA here is definitely not a 3 star. I guess I'm used to the WAWAs down the shore. I was super excited to hear that this place was coming; however, they're always understaffed and the coffee area at 8 am. in the morning if often dirty. Also, I liked their peach-ginger hot tea. Apparently, this teabag is quite popular. Why are you always out of stock? Gas it's cheap but I find the same price at the Mobil down the block and I always have to wait awhile before a clerk gives me gas. I might as well get Mobil gas instead of WAWA.
