COVID REVIEW 1/5 stars: 7/9/2020 4:30pm- We went a few days prior, and did not have any issues then. But, today 7/9... UGH. So the rule followers we are we wore our masks because it was MANDATORY. It even says in the door it was mandatory. There were so many people with no mask on! Those following rules were also shocked. I figured a manager or cashier or another employee would say something. NOPE! Noting. They were not enforcing it. So if you need a place that follows covid protocol as I call it, this is NOT the place/WAWA to go to. We have a love affair with Wawa! They are so good! I feel like no one really knows the history about Wawa. Look it up. But, the hoagies are delicious, along with the coffee. They offer so much more than what I was as a kiddo. Their Wawa teas and juices are a hit. Gosh, I honestly could keep bragging about them. We always got them up when we are back in PA, but here we are in VA now. read more

The renovations they did make the location awesome. Things were great the first few weeks but didn't last long. I've ordered from here several times and they're always out of simple ingredients. For some reason I always go back thinking it'll be different. Last night was probably my final straw. I ordered a hoagie and they were out of tomato, pepper jack cheese and spinach. This Wawa food location is the most friendly is location of ever visited. We stop at different ones all the time up-and-down the but way because they always offer quality and low gas prices! This 1 was busy as any other while providing service but I noticed how the customer service representative that was rang everyone up was very very friendly, cordial and even so jokes! Now to be honest, I didn't get the joke he told me but I was pleased that he even interacted with his customers that way and worked at a job that allows him to interact w customers that way. Our food orders were ready in a short time a we got a good deal on gas. This location is one of the larger Wawa's with the many gas pumps and the store is pretty cool! read more

I placed an order for curbside on the app. My credit card was charged. When I arrived at the store, no order was showing pending on the app. I showed 3 different employees, including a manager of the store where my card was charged and was eventually told that I "could call corporate". At the end of the day, it's just $9. Just seems a shame to lose a customer over a burrito that you could have made really fast. I love Wawa. The variety of stuff you can get there makes this an absolute necessity for anyone on the road traveling. My favorite however is the sandwich/sub station. Self order submission via the touch screen displays is a very smart idea. This trip I had the Italian Sub with a variety of toppings. It was made and ready for my pickup in about 3 minutes. Suffice it to say the sandwich was delicious. Wawa's can get a little crowded from time to time, but this visit was a quick in and out without delay. This location is a bit tricky. It's kinda set back off of J Clyde Highway, so if you're not paying attention you may miss it. read more

Usually I give this Wawa a five stars but today they are lacking on service the girl that was making the drinks today is rude and slow how does a higher number 7 numbers ahead of you gets the drink first before you and I did voice my opinion and when she was done she just placed the drink without calling my number? Oh boy I don't understand why but this location has blessed me with food poisoning. I got the chicken chipotle (cheesesteak) and customized it for my liking. I get home to eat it was dry for one that I only ate half later through the night I noticed a bad in my stomach that carried over into the morning and got worse as I worked through out the day and now y'all finally got me on this toilet wishing I could take it back. Oh, Wawa. The mecca of convenience stores. Why, oh why, have you not yet infiltrated the DC metro area? Why must I drive far out of my way to enjoy your coffee goodness and made to order (better than any Subway) sandwich deliciousness? Why does it take a special trip to enjoy the delectability of your stuffed pretzels? In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE me some Wawa. This particular location is my regular stop to fill up (the gas tank AND my belly) on the way back from the Hampton Roads area whenever I make a trip. While I'm a little bummed that there are far fewer coffee flavors these days, you really can't go wrong with any of them. That combined with the fact that Wawa gas is consistently the cheapest gas around AND the fact that their bathrooms are ALWAYS clean... basically, there are very few places on the planet that I love more than Wawa. Dirrrrty wawa. Get ready for the most high volume wawa experience I have seen in the Hampton Roads area. The parking lot is kind of a pain to get in and out of with the ridiculously long lines of people trying to get watered down cheap gas. Customer service is okay, if you like getting yelled at. Sandwiches are always good, but can get a little pricey. I think the best part is the turkey bowls! Sooo good. read more

I think this is one of the best gas stations/convenience store ever! Even better than 7-11, I think. They have a huge food selection, a hot/cold bar area. They are extremely clean inside and courteous staff. The parking lot and gas stations seems well kept. Gas prices are always the best in town. They have another competitive gas station and they cant seem to keep up with the low prices. I love this place! read more

Today I received HORRENDOUS service at this particular Wawa, while waiting for breakfast. I observed several customers waiting for their orders, while the employees were busy joking around and refusing to help because items were "too far". The young lady who made my food threw it down and after seeing my expression, I heard her say "I don't care if she's mad, oh well, so what!" First she should not have thrown my item or anyone's item onto the counter because she is busy and second a response disregarding how I, the customer felt is HORRIBLE customer service. I hope this is addressed. The young lady was a short, 25-35 yr old African- American woman who I believe had either braids or locs. read more

My 14 year-old son said that we had to find the closest one and check it out [I think it is because he had a crush on my wife's friend's 15 year-old daughter from Yorktown, VA and it would give him a topic of conversation for later in the day when he saw her :)] After having stopped for coffee at the Starbucks down the street (the initial quest of our journey) we stopped at Wawa to see what it had to offer... My son found apple juice for he and his sister, as well as a half dozen (u pick 'em) doughnuts for $3.29...we got a dozen. :) The cash registers make a cool sound....you have to hear it...:D I can see why the place was busy...it has a lot to offer...food, fuel and fun! read more

When you are unable to accept credi cards at the register per normal, a bit more than two generic, hand-written signs on the inner doors, on only one inner door at each entrance, would be helpful. Courteous people often hold doors and the chances of seeing the one anemic hand-witten sign among the plethora of signage in the windows is easily missed. So shopping done, at the register and i'm told that it's cash only, the clerk pointing to the obscure sign. No signage anywhere else. Not even at the registers! I asked the clerk if I'm supposed to scan all the windows of the store front and was told he didn't know what I was supposed to do in a rather dismissive tone. I just think it disrespects my time and Wawa loyalty. Clearly the "B-team" was at the healm. Customer courtesy has been my experience with Wawa until now. read more

I wish they put a Wawa at every few miles. the coffee is WAY cheaper and better than Starbucks. Come on Wawa...open up a store on Big Bethel in Hampton across the street from 7-11!! Service with a snarl! I used to stop here all the time but since they got the Coke free style machine and did away with fountain Mountain Dew I go to the new 7-11 down the street, however I decided to stop tonight. The shelves were empty, the person in the MTO department looked at me like, " Don't even come place an order!" I got a 20 oz and some candy that was marked on sale at the register. The candy didn't ring up as on sale so I told the cashier. She said, "I don't know." When I persisted she walked away and yelled at another employee who came and rang up my order inaccurately but taking off the discount. I paid and ran! I won't be back, yikes! read more
