Okay so your girl ordered wrong but, as soon as I try something else, I'll likely come back and bump this order up to 5 stars. Don't be like me and order the grilled chick'n salad. The grilled chick'n salad is. uhm, not very good. The ranch is excellent and the protein was fine, but it really is an incredibly boring dish and not the reason you come to HipCityVeg. Staff was very friendly and my order was ready fairly fast. The green energy boost smoothie is about to become an absolute go-to for me. Super healthy, fortifying, and straight up delicious. They change up their shakes with the month and offer fun varieties and seasonal choices. All of the sandwiches look amazing. I am someone who used to really enjoy vegan and plant-based eating more regularly and still often do! HipCityVeg has amazing choices and do their proteins right. This is the spot to go for lunch or takeout with anyone that has food allergies or diet sensitivities. Thanks for existing, HipCityVeg!

They are so nasty who even is on the 2nd shift at 7:00 playing on the phone playing music hanging up laughing and all and I'm a vegetarian and the gave me real meat I dont know what men are in the but they need to be fire before I take this somewhere u gonna lose every location.

My meal from this location was outstanding! It was so good I wanted to go back the next day for lunch. I ordered the smoky sweet crispy chick'n wrap and made it a meal to come with sweet potato fries and tangerine turmeric juice. Everything was a solid 10/10! I was stuffed and did not feel gross after all the food. My colleagues ordered the black/white milkshake and raved about it, too!

Overpriced in my opinion for dessert... dessert was more than food items on the menu and I only got 1 little scoop. I ordered vegan vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie crumbles, which was really good. Service was fine. There is a small area to sit and eat inside. Parking is a nightmare in this area not juat for this business. Just keep riding until you find a street metered parking spot.

This is a good restraunt for someone else. It is exactly what it says it is. Vegitetian fast food. They have a tone of cheap vegiterian options ranging ranging from shakes to chicken nuggets. We got the chicken wrap and chicken nuggets with a shake. They were all cheap but also not a lot of food. The food itself was decent but also nothing memorable. It eas passable as it's imitations but since it's imitating fast food meat, the bar isn't very high. All of that to say, if you want a quick vegiterian snack it's not bad (but you could also do better).

Tried the Philly cheesesteak yesterday and it was delicious! The flavor was so great and the texture was amazing as well. Will definitely be returning to try different menu items soon!

Considering the price of the food here compared to what you get, I think this place is just average. This is basically a vegan/vegetarian fast food joint with some burgers and cheesesteaks. I got the Philly Cheesesteak and the Ziggy burger. The Philly cheesesteak had a weird flavor profile to it that did not resemble much of a real Philly cheesesteak. Obviously it is not made out of meat but the texture wasn't all that great for what it is. The Ziggy burger was basically an impossible or beyond burger patty (I forgot which) with some veggie toppings. Not too impressed as I can make that myself at home for a fraction of the cost and the exact taste. The highlight here was actually the Bella mushroom side we got. They were just fried portobello mushrooms but the seasoning and the sauce they provided to dip them in was divine! Highly recommend this one. There is a student discount here if you happen to be a student. I think it was 10% off. Staff is nice and friendly here, vibes are just what you expect from other fast food joints.

    Order of fries and sauces.

We had so many people recommend this place to us, but... was it because it's a fully vegan restaurant and we eat vegan so the assumption was we were gonna love it? Because we did not. It's convenient and it's fast food: hamburgers, chicken fingers, fries, shakes. It just all happens to be plant-based, but it's not done any better than what you could make at home (in quality or quantity). We got: - Ziggy Burger (a bacon cheeseburger with cheese, lettuce, onion, special sauce, on a toasted bun), $12.95: there was no bacon and the hamburger was the size of my palm. My partner said it was fine, but he wouldn't order again. - Miso Noodle Chick'n Salad: spicy glazed chick'n, udon noodles, romaine, carrot, cabbage, scallion, miso dressing), $11.95: I asked the person at the counter if there was a chance I could swap the spicy glazed chick'n for golden nuggets. She said yes, it wouldn't be a problem. But that isn't what happened. I got charged for an order of Golden Nuggets. The salad itself was mostly romaine lettuce, the udon noodles weren't cooked and they were all clumped together making them inedible (literally, I couldn't bite through them), and the dressing was so, so vinegary. - Golden Nuggets (their signature golden nuggets with choice of dipping sauce), $5.25: I wasn't allowed a dipping sauce because it was considered a side. I guess? These tasted exactly like the Gardein Ultimate Chick'n Nuggets (which I like!) these were just on the cold side. - Two orders of French Fries (small), $2.95: they were softer and less salty than we were expecting/hoping for. The side sauces we got (which come in containers that hold maybe two tablespoons) were ketchup and sriracha aioli. They were good, just wish there was more. - Two waters, $3 ^ after tax and tip, this was close to $60. The interior can seat maybe eight people; except when we visited there was only four seats available because the third table and the high top seating at the windows had several mop buckets on them collecting water dripping from the ceiling. For me, this was not a place I needed to go out of my way for like our omnivore friends suggested.

Philly Steak, hold the ketchup, extra mayo

Ok I know they have other great things on the menu but when I'm visiting Philly, I just have to have a cheesesteak. At most recent visit, I ordered a Philly steak and asked for no ketchup and extra mayo. Banging flavor combo!! It was filling, ascetically beautiful, and delicious. I highly recommend! I ate at the counter and people - watched as I scarfed down my sandwich. I really think I was drawing people's interest because of my ravenous bites and epic looking sandwich!

I was visiting Philly, looking for someplace to get a bite to eat and saw the sign. I couldn't be happier with how I happened to be walking passed this place and decided to go in. They had a lot of vegan options. I don't remember the name of the burger I got but I cannot express enough how delicious it was! It cured my craving for a juicy burger without the guilt of supporting the murder of cows & separating moms from their calves. Even more impressive was their awareness of materials used for their containers. I'm hoping they will find alternatives to the little bit of plastic they are using now. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. The prices was comparable to what you would pay for a burger elsewhere. If your close by and looking for an excellent guilt free meal, look no further!

Philly Steak Sandwich, Mushroom boom side

I'm fairly new to Vegan (3 months) and mostly cook at home. I was in Philadelphia for work and of course needed a Philly Cheesesteak, but wanted to stay vegan. This place was walking distance from my hotel, so I gave it a try. Can't say it tasted exactly like the beef one I had 6 months ago, when last in Philly, but I thought it was very close, definitely tasty and I would get it again. The shroom boom side was very good, not too heavily breaded, seasoned nicely, a nice texture of crisp outside with softer mushroom inside and came with a tasty green goddess sauce. Would get again as well. It's a small fast food vibe kinda place, but looked clean and the service was good, person that took my order was friendly and I felt the food was prepared in a timely manner. They seemed to be very busy with takeout orders, but I didn't wait long to eat there.

The decent vegan food store in the center of Philly around the Rittenuse square. The noodle salad bowl was a bit cold but the taste was pretty good! The price is moderate and like they say " you get what you pay for"!

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.
