7-11 on steroids That's what I call all WaWa's. They're 24/7 and aside from pre packed food you can get hot food from the deli. I was a little confused with the whole process in getting hot food. I went to the kiosk to order and waited. Well you pay first and then show the receipt to the server. Opps. There's a good choice of coffees to choose along with creams and flavor syrups. Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's proceed!. I stopped by this particular location to grab another cup of coffee ( I say another because my first cup is always at home with my Keurig coffee machine)! . My first issue was there was no soap in the men's restroom! Now I would say it was about 9 am and no one can tell me no other I was the only person to use the restroom that day by 9 am and they forgot to report the restroom was out of soap, or maybe because they are nasty enough to walk out the restroom without washing their hands,Or maybe they ran out of soap right before I got there, or let's say they forgot to check the soap dispenser when they cleaned the restroom that morning? Well whatever the reasoning behind this, I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because to me it's a bad feeling to execute a number 1 and not be able to wash your hands, let's not even mention someone executing a number 2 and not being able to wash their hands.. 2:11 a.m one of the worst food decisions I've made in a long time. Ordered a personal pizza, half cheese and pepperoni and the woman that called my order had a bonnet on and from that point it was all downhill. Not a care in the world, my pizza had no cheese toppings everything just terrible. Toppings just slid off the pizza, along with the cheese. The taste was off and my crust hard and burnt. Well first off i did a pick up order, and when we go to pick it up employees didn't hand off our order so we got it ourselves but we didn't know the rest of our meal was in a second bag. We came back had to grab our own bag again they didn't even acknowledge that we left the bag, anyway we get figure the food would be decent but the food was mid. I love myself some Wawa but yesterday was the first time I ordered a burger from this one and it was disappointing. It looked like it was just thrown together, the cheese wasn't melt just laying on top. No condiments on it or nothing it was terrible. I had to go home and put my own stuff on it, and readdress it the way I had asked for it to be done on the first place. And I actually love Wawa, I go there at least once a day if not more but that was disappointing last night don't think I'll get a burger if there again. read more

WaWa has this convenience thing on lock. Unlike their competition, 7-Eleven, WaWa stores are all full service. This WaWa is located off of a busy Victory Boulevard near the Victory Crossing retail area. I typically pass over coming to this location only because the 7-Eleven in the area is more conveniently located by the interstate making quick stops ideal. I've yet to visit an empty WaWa. And this location is no exception. It bustles and brims with a lot of activity. I haven't tried the food at this particular store but I can endorse their coffee. As found in most WaWa's there are milkshake machines, slushy and fountain drink stations and a variety of items that you would typically go to a convenient store for. Gas prices are reasonable although I've seen them cheaper half a block away. Overall, a good shopping experience to be had at this location. It has the stray odd character here and there but nothing to have to don a bullet proof vest for. Traffic in the parking lot is dicey especially with the newly opened Cookout next door. I Love Wawa! Everytime I go to this wawa It's always Packed. The coffee is my favorite. One morning the casher just kept telling me have a good day but I had never paid him for my coffee. It took me a moment to realize that he had purchased it for me. It made me smile for the rest of the day. That's one way of having great customer service. Came here just to get gas but of course I left with more than that. I just noticed they have the button for handicapped people to push if they need assistance. Depending on when you go they always have tasty muffins and donuts and they usually alternate the flavors so today they had my favorite which is the carrot cake muffin. Typically, this is a great place to stop and get something quick when you're on the road or in a hurry. The speed of service is never an issue, but this is at least the third or fourth time that I've gotten a sub there with tomato and it ended up with one single tomato slice on the outside of the bun, like some sort of weird garnish. I'd like to have the tomato ON the sub and enough of them to cover every bite... it's one of my favorite toppings so you can imagine if you were turkey lover and they did that with the turkey on your sandwich you'd be pretty irritated. I generally thought it would be common sense to put the toppings throughout the sandwich, but from now on I guess I'll have to talk to them like they've never made a turkey sub before, which I don't look forward to doing. That's going to be a difficult task to do without coming across as snobby and condescending, but really? Come on people. read more

So I was at WAWA this morning on Victory Blvd in Portsmouth getting a drink. My friend and her fiance were in there with their 3 year old son who happened to be wearing his favorite mini Spider-Man bookbag. We're in line waiting to pay and just talking away, when a WAWA employee walks up to my friends fiance and asks to see his son's book bag (thinking she just wanted to check it out on the outside) Keep in mind this is their busiest time with lines and lines of people all around us. With no hesitation my friends fiance shows the employee the bag and the employee grabs it out of his hand's and starts unzipping the book bag and searching this little tiny book bag that was on a 3 year olds back, with no explanation of why or anything, only for her to find his favorite toys he likes to carry around. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE AND MOST OF ALL EMBARASSING. We reach the register where this lady is now speaking on her ear speaker saying "she took care of it" and proceeds on by saying "sorry about that we had a customer say he seen you stuffing things in your son's book bag." No apology for the embarrassment that was caused to my friend and her fiance but most of all the CONFUSION that her innocent 3 year old son felt thinking he did something wrong. That ASSUMPTION could have been approached in a completely different way. I know this new generation doesn't even come close to knowing the definition of good customer service, but if you choose to work in that field, at least have some knowledge on how to properly handle fucking situations!!!!!!!!!!!! assholes read more
